Oh gawd Ann, Ive got a similar thread running on General about saving all my Outlook Express messages - have you got your Talk Talk modem there aswell? Dont think saving favourites is a prob as they are all on I.E. arent they? So that will all stay just the same? I was just worried about the fact talk talk will change my username and password for O.E. and whether they would just disapper. |

No, Elaine and Steve are saying on that thread - jump over to general - that you can save your messages and your address book to your documents and then import them to your new ISP. |

There is a folder on your PC if you want to transfer it from one ot the other. It will be on your C drive. If you have XP, it will be under Documents & Settings/ Your Name / Favorites You can copy that folder onto a removeable drive (floppy, CD etc) and put it in the same place on the other PC. You can also use the Import/Export function on IE... Click File -> Import and Export then follow the wizard You can then import it using the same method. Just make sure you save them to a removeable drive too. |

Thanks Orange, Ive done the best I can BUT looks like fears unfounded. I got into a bit of a flap changing the service provider for O.E. so I rang talk talk (thought to myself, half an hour wait now) BUT a chap answered in a minute - lovely chap and I could understand his accent! Well, he talked me through changing my O.E. from wanadoo to talktalk in a couple of minutes and I said to him I dont think its worked, all my old emails are still here. And he said, 'So they should be'! Well, I was so worried about changing to talktalk - its £20 cheaper a month for me and includes all national and a lot of international calls, but if their service stays this good - please gawd! |
