This thread from 2013, on another forum, seems to refer to the chapel you mention.
It's stated that the chapel's records are with Manchester Archives - but no burial records.

Thank you all for your replies.
The death certificate was issued by the Superintendent Registrars district of Ashtonn under Lyne.
Registrars district of Mottram
death =21st January 1849
registered= 27th Jan 1849 by W. Bradley.

w, Bradley may have been a carter in Hollingworth

The chapel in Hollingworth is closed, and converted to a dwelling - but there are still grave stones standing in the derelict grave yard.
I have not been able to visit, but it appears on google.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I dont not know where Daniel is buried , just though as a non conformist it would be here.

Are you sure you mean 1879?

If the death was registered in Ashton-Under-Lyne RD, as you say, then it can't have been 1879.

There's one in 1849, and one in 1969, as well as others in other years.

BOOTH, DANIEL 46
GRO Reference: 1849 M Quarter in ASHTON UNDER LYNE Volume 20 Page 77

BOOTH, DANIEL 0
GRO Reference: 1869 J Quarter in ASHTON UNDER LYNE Volume 08D Page 280

The 1879 death posted by safc was in Staffordshire. Wolstanton itself is about 45 miles away from Mottram.

When was your Daniel born?
There's more than one living in Mottram in censuses.

You say, "Although several children over 15 in district.", so perhaps the baby who died in 1869 is the one you mean???

Possible birth of that baby:

Not that it helps! There's still no burial record online.

Contact the church (St Michael and All Angels) which contains the chapel:

https://www.mottramparish.org.uk/heritage/saintmichaels/

" There are two separate side chapels within the building: the Staveleigh Chapel and the Hollingworth Chapel."

There's an online form to contact their "family history expert" re burial records:

https://www.mottramparish.org.uk/intouch/generalcontact

"Immediately surrounding St. Michael's, the churchyard has been in use for centuries, the oldest grave being one from 1649 - just on the right of the path leading to the front door.
We have a list of all the surviving inscriptions, and can help you with your family history enquiries if you have an ancestor buried here."

There's a good website then - ask for 1879 exact and out by 70 years!

But yes, I know, check carefully!

That death is 1949 - the one in question occurred in 1879

By googling Hollingworth Chapel, Mottram burial records and using this result
https://www.mottramparish.org.uk/heritage/familyhistory/

and then following the clues through to https://web.tameside.gov.uk/BACAS/GenSearch.aspx

Possibly Daniel - age on GRO and burial records often differ by a year

0 28/02/1949 Daniel Booth 69 Years No Service Hyde Cemetery C/E 2 1809

Ah! I took that to mean that there are some stones and graves but not the one she is looking for.

A burial register is unlikely to give any thing more than what is on the headstone, and may even give less.

Or maybe Margaret knows they are they but hasn’t travelled herself to see them and was hoping to find the inscription on a website.

Burial registers are not part of the CIVIL BMD system

Does the 'anywhere' include the following site?

https://www.deceasedonline.com/

What are you hoping for? Isn't the info you need on the gravestones which you say are in place?

Have you asked the church, the local records office or the local history society or the local family history society?
