From parish records I've got eight children born in Bishops Stortford, Herts to William and his wife Mary between 1770 and 1794.
There are no other families of that name in the registers during that period.
In 1835 there was a William buried aged 94 which, if it is the same person would give a birth date of c. 1741.
Any assistance/suggestions in locating William's birth or marriage would be gratefully received.

Or the local FHS, assuming he was born and married where the children were born

Thanks Granny,
I'd not tagged that thread and forgotten about it.
A lot has happened since then.
