I have some time this afternoon, so I shall try it!

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 29 Jun 2019 17:27

Unfortunately, Sylvia, the problem is that the whole record won't highlight.
Only the bits as in Maddie's post at 12:01.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Jun 2019 17:19

I haven't tried it on Family Search, but I have found that highlighting what is on my screen, then pressing CTRL and C simultaneously, and then pressing CTRL V where I want it to paste has worked on several different sites.

It might be worth trying!

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 29 Jun 2019 17:17

I've just experimented, and find that it won't c&p on Firefox (although it always used to), but it will c&p as normal on Microsoft Edge.

A way round it is to follow these instructions from FS Help .

It's a long-winded nuisance, but it works.

How do I copy record details from Historical Records?
Information
In Historical Records, you can copy record information and paste it into your word processor.

Steps (website)
1.  Perform your search on the Records Search screen.
2. In the View column of the search results, click the Record Details icon (looks like a sheet of lined paper).
3. In the top right portion of the screen, click Tools.
4. In the list that appears, click Copy to Clipboard.
5. Open your word processor, and press the Ctrl and V keys on your keyboard to paste. (On an Apple computer, use Cmd and V instead).

Then you can c&p the record from your word processor document to GR or wherever.

ArgyllGran Report 29 Jun 2019 12:48

No, I can't get it to highlight the whole record.
This is all that highlights and c&p's;
