I'd like to find a divorce notice from 1950, but don't know how to go about it, thanks.

Very few divorce records for that time have been kept

From the national archives site

The survival rate of divorce case files is:

1858-1927: almost 100%
1928-1937: 80%
After 1937: less than 0.2%
No case files survive from the district registries set up in 1927.

You might be able to apply for a copy of the Decree Absolute. It would cost £45
