I found his birth year from trees on Ancestry who mainly are in agreement but don't agree on his parents.

Not very much at this time.
I'm 200 miles from Kent so don't get down there to investigate further.
I use Ancestry but cant rely on that site a lot. I also use familysearch but they don't have much info on George and his wife/parents.
Mostly for way back I don't have much to draw from.

Ancestry can usually be relied on to give false leads..............

What research have you done yourself?

Where did you find out his birth year?

I think it's without little doubt he married Elizabeth Clayson 13/10/1801, but who were his parents? Thomas and Jane Newport? Isaiah and Martha Whitnal? John and Martha Whitnal? John and Martha Pilcher?
Just a few of the opinions found on Ancestry.
Anyone got proof of his actual parents?
