Looking at Margarets place of birth, I think there is a good chance her father was also a soldier so they may well have married abroad, possibly India as the first kiddie was born there.
The birth cert will give mums name and hopefully dads regiment which would allow you to track them down a bit easier. The places of the childrens births should be helpful following his career moves.
