Ann I think you'll find she's a bit pagan or wiccan.

Annx Report 23 Aug 2021 16:30

That will be a nice break for you, something to look forward to and lots of sunshine for you Frank! You do sound more cheerful as Mandy says which is good.

Hope you have a nice week with yiur daughter AnnG. I expect she will be helping with some jobs too which is good.

Mandy you are putting me to shame.......trips to the tip mean you have done more clearing out which I need to stir myself to do! A nice sit in the garden after sounds lovely as it seems settled and sunny here now. Tomorrow will be fun getting the scarecrow put together with the straw. You can see what to add then as yiou say. The children will love it and we will want to see some pics.

Mel it would be good if your OH can get the 'old gal' running properly again as it would be much less work not having to change the decks. They must be heavy I would think. I look forward to the photo. Gosh you got cracking today didn't you! I take it the sciatic pain has been much better with the tablets. It is such a relief once it does.

I had to look up the Chilean potato vine too and know I have seen it in some open gardens. I suppose it isn't surprising it's poisonous being a solanum and related to potatoes and nightshade.

That's good news your OH has an appointment at the hospital now Vera and hopefully they will be able to start sorting him out. It's good you could change your food delivery too. OH's legs are much better now after walking around. It is the nerves from the meralgia he has. He often gets it in his arms too.

Well the painting class wasn't good........mine is in the bin already! lol. :-D What a strange woman doing it, very teacherly. The teacher I like for the other watercolour courses I've done is very laid back and asks at the end if people want to show what they have done but always says there's no pressure, it doesn't matter and only if you want to. Not this one! Some people hadn't put their videos on (it is up to you really) but after asking several times through the lesson to see what we had done, she started telling people to switch their videos on and hold up their work! At the end she went round everybody, asking each one to show what they had done again as we would have done a bit more! I looked up her website after and she sells cards and paintings and seems a bit strange. This is her website if you want to look.

fayeart.co.uk

Better get the washer on now! It can go out tomorrow.

Mandy, yes the baskets are just starting to go over now. Well 'family' are here, One is down the garden sitting in the sun on her phone, and the other is in the lounge reading the news on his Ipad. Great company :-D :-D

Yes Mandy its all back together and he has been using it. I must take a picture so you can all see what a lovely job he has made of it. He is trying to get the olod mower going now as it kept cutting out. He has ordered a new carburettor and its been sent from China and is sitting in some sorting office somewhere in this country. He has put new filters on it and fuel line. I just hope it is the carb. as if he can't get this one going its a nuisance as this one has the mulching dec on it so he dos'nt have to keep swopping them over.

Good to get an appointment Vera, hope it answers some questions for your OH. Although I went to the hospital with T for his appointments I was not allowed in with him. I wish I had been as I am sure it would have answered some of the questions I still have. I am sure he never told me all that he was told.

Daughter arrived at 1230 so a good trip down.

REALLY great to see our Franky boy post and I am sure they will both have a nice time seeing Conrad and Jan and going to Spain for 10 days. safe flight when you do go Frank and sending love. <3

Its good something is being done for hubby now Vera and you must go with him for definate.

I too have done three lots of washing , a pillow of oh's, his light quilt cover and I am just about to put the other bedding on the line. We have sun and a very gentle breeze.

I have deadheaded the petunias and a geranium I bought in Morrisons at least two years ago could be three. It goes in the shed for the winter. Fed the birds Chickens and bantams and am just about to look for something for lunch. O and hoovered the kitchen and bedroom.

That Chilean vine reminds me of Deadly Nightshade.

SuffolkVera Report 23 Aug 2021 12:16

It was, wasn't it AnnG :-) I hope your daughter has a safe journey. It will be nice for you to have company again for a few days.

Gwyn, I had to google the Chilean Potato Vine. It's pretty but looks as though it grows quite big.

Sorry your OH isn't too good this morning Ann. I hope he feels better soon.

The phone call was from the hospital offering OH an appointment in the Urology dept on Thursday afternoon. We didn't even know the GP dealing with that problem had referred him but at least something is happening. I am insisting on going with him as we don't know what they are going to do or how he will feel about driving back (the hospital is 20 miles away). I had a Sainsbury delivery booked for Thursday afternoon but have managed to change it to Friday.

Good to see you Frank and lovely to be looking forward to Spain.

Quite dull and dark here, a bit misty and 17 degrees. Waiting for daughter to arrive, they left about 0740 this morning so should be here soon.

That was a quick one Vera!!!

Lovely to see you Frank. A trip to Devon and Spain is something to look forward to.

Today is a really gloomy, grey day but it’s dry so far and reasonably warm. I’ve got 3 loads of washing on the line but everything is just hanging there as there’s no breeze. As there’s no sun either I don’t know if it will dry.

Phone ringing. Must go

Frank

Frank Report 23 Aug 2021 11:19

Hi All, We are both well, so no need to worry.

Jan has booked flights for us from Exeter to Spain in Sept to see Conrad for 10 days. I have just paid for Travel Insurance, so we will be covered.

I trust you are all well.

Annx Report 23 Aug 2021 10:17

Morning All,

Sunny here and much warmer. Thanks Mel and AnnG, I have it now and it is different to the one I was using. Yes I had a camera last Christmas and I'd forgotten about it till I saw AnnG's temperature guage and thought it was one!! I must get it set up as I realise I might have seen what pulled all the wire scourer out that plugged the gap in the bricks and stopped the mice getting in the loft!!! Which reminds me we need to plug it up again as they start coming in when it gets chilly.

OH had a bad night last night and has woken with burning thighs and a pain in his head. Better get my paints ready now and see if I can sketch this not very special fairy we are painting. We may be starting with the drawing, but I know I will get left behind if we do, as it takes me ages to be happy with a drawing! BBL Oh oh sun's gone in!

Morning Anng and all,

Anng I have sent Ann your blog address last night.

Promisses to be a lovely sunny day today as its out already and I hope it stays that way. We have earned a nice day as it been so dull lately it dos'nt make you want to do anything.

Woke up with cramp this morning in my right leg. Could'nt get out of bed for a while till it died down.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 23 Aug 2021 07:51

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 22 Aug 2021 23:31

Gwynn I had had those when we had the nursary but I hav'nt got one now and they are poisonous I think. There's not really a place to put one up the border which is where the deer go mostly. They don't seem to touch the penstemon or the dephiniums but do eat my phlox, day lillies aquilegia, roses the plums off the little old tree. They don't touch the lavender or the sage but so eat the japomica fruits which smell lovely and I like to have them in the kitchen if I can manage to get to them before the deer.

Talking of deer we hav'nt seen the two fawns again but have had a female in the orchard and the stag is often sitting in the garden or in the orchard.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 22 Aug 2021 23:25

We have one Ann but its cream and not a dark colour like Anng's.

Did'nt you get a wildlife camera a while ago? Hav'nt heard you say anything about it since.

Annx

Annx Report 22 Aug 2021 22:50

Maybe I still have a link just for the old blog AnnG? It has a card with a boat on dated April 2018 when I open it, no list at the side. Oh I haven't seen garden temperature guages before. I thought it was some kind of nature camera.

Another name from my youth gone now then RIP Don Everley of the Everley Brothers.

I have a wardrobeful of varying sizes Gwyn. ;-) He must have had plenty more not to miss that many!

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 22 Aug 2021 22:07

Mel, sorry no I don’t know the name of the Rose, I will look and see if there is a label but don’t hold your breath.

Annx it is a temperature gauge connected to a thing indoors but not sure it is working at the moment probably batteries needed

I don’t know why you have a problem with the blog. It should open with a list on the side giving previous titles so you can open any of them.

Has anyone else had problems accessing it? I know for me adding to it things changed a few months back with an update but I can still get on Ok.

AnnG
How can anyone not realise that they have that many shirts missing.?
They seem to be varying sizes, so no doubt a charity shop will receive at least some.

I forgot to say. When taking a heritage walk in a different local area, we noticed some garden plants that I didn't recognise. When I looked up one of them, it said that deer didn't like them. I thought of Mel.
It was a Chilean Potato Tree or Vine.

Love all your plants Anng I just looked on your blog. I like the stripey one and think I comented on that one before.

The yellow rose is a good soft colour too do you know what its called?

Edit typed this ages ago and did'nt post it.
