Morning All,
Bright one min and then cloudy and raining the next. 11 degrees here and we have blue sky with wh9ite clouds and then a layer underneath of grey which keeps dropping water down all over us.
Anng remember your car does give you a bit of independance and if you go out in it you are SAFE. This virus is still going to be around for a long while yet and if we do get another lockdown you can still go for a little drive.
Must ring the docs about my scripts this morning or some time today as they delivered oh's to the shop and mine were missing altogether.

Good morning all, 8 degrees here, the sun is shining and the sky pale blue but it is cold, feels like any colder and there will be a frost.
Ann, car damage is still haunting me. I did inform the police but that was a bit of a hassle, did it on line so a long form to fill in to access there facility which is ultra secure to fill in the details. Heard back from them quite quickly, they have taken particulars of the other car, presumably they will try and locate the owner, or at least they have details if the owner reports it. I assume I will hear from then if they do locate them. I was not able to get out to look at my damage yesterday as it was too wet. This morning I am going to the range with cynth but will look when I come back. Daughter says 'it is only too bits of metal, it can be fixed so stop worrying'. But I think all it has done has stressed me out enough to be deternined to get rid of the car.

We had sun and neavy showers all day and then the hail a couple of times just as I shut the shed door.
Ann I used to give the chickens pumpkin when we grew them for the barrow and I used to put one carved one up the top on the village hall car park when the children in the lodge were young. We used to sell loads off the barrow when we had it out. We even did a guess the weight of the pumkin for the bell fund and the reader won it so she had the bottlel of wine.
BUT I forgot all about it today and its still in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What am I like?

Afternoon All,
Yes, same as Mel, most of our clocks sort themselves now but OH did the cooker clock and one other clock and I did one of my alarm clocks. The car clocks will need doing though when we next go out.
Mandy I still get some pain in my groin and in my back above the hip, but not across my tummy now. It hurts in the groin when I lift my leg when I'm sitting but it seems a bit better each day so I am keeping my fingers crossed it is a bad muscle strain. My booster just feels a bit bruised where they did it but nothing otherwise and better than the last jab. I'm glad Colin thought the painting was a photo! :-) You are doing well with your mesh wreath makes and I look forward to seeing what else you will be making with the mesh.
Don't concern yourself about the scrape AnnG. Most people don't claim on the insurance for small scrapes like that, even if not their fault. The reason being it will affect their insurance on renewal, just for being involved in a claim. Many parking spaces are stupidly narrow these days and even if your own car is narrow, people in big 4x4s will park too close. I've said before that I have a job to get out of my car with it's big doors in these small spaces. Hard to see and back out safely on busy roads too. You've done your best, so see what you can do with the T cut and forget it.
Lots of heavy rain here too but it is sunny and windy now. I imagine most of the leaves are coming down now, so no more photo opportunities.
I have to put away my acrylic paints and get out the watercolours for another class I start tomorrow. It's yet another teacher, mixed beginners and improvers so will be interesting to see what it's like.
Did the chickens like the pumpkin Mel? They were saying on the Alan Titchmarsh prog last week that they enjoy pumpkin.
I'm going to get out my beading now, an unfinished bracelet and see if I can pick up the pattern and carry on.

What a shame you’ve had a scrape AnnG. It’s annoying for you but don’t worry about it. You’ve done the right thing by letting the police know.
What a day! I just got soaked and nearly blown over going into the garden to get some parsley. You can hardly see the garden for the leaves that have blown down from next door’s large maple tree.
We only have 2 Dobbies in Suffolk and the nearest is a 40 mile round trip. Our local centre is Perrywoods and they say on their website that they have moved to coloured pots rather than black so that they can go into “kerbside recycling units”. We’ve found in the past that people who garden or have allotments usually have plenty of pots already. My pots will have to go to the tip but I think they are recycled from there. We just can’t put them in our blue bin because they are classed as hard plastic.
Just seen the time. Better get the meat in the oven.

after really heavy rain we then had blue sky and sun but it is now cloudy and looking like showers again. No point in trying to look at the car while the weather is bad so I will leave it for now. Yes Mandy hoping to be able to T cut at least some of it.

Vera isn't it a filthy job clearing out the garage. Although we had a good go at mine after T died it could still do with another sort out. Still when you have done to dump run you can start filling it up again. I thought all garden centres had been requested to recycle plastic plant pots. Have you got a dobbies near you. Ours recycle them.
ann hopefully the council will sort it and you are lucky that your drive slopes up to the house and not down. I think we are going to see more flooding nowadays.

good morning, did you all put your clocks back? Raining hard here and still quite dark 11 degrees. Nothing to do today so probably more card making.
didn't sleep very well last night, not too bad but not as well as I have been. There was a reason though, my mind was working overtime, yesterday after Had my hair cut, (had to take the car because it rained. Not a good move). had a scrape on backing out, my front wing car next to me (narrow slots) and slightly angled their rear nearside wing. trying to see if anything coming along the road behind (car park places are facing in, in a long lay by (private land) didn't notice how close until it scraped. waited for 20 minutes nobody came back Not sure what to do I had no paper on me at all. Anyway I have posted a message on the Churchdown site and hope somebody contacts me. I have also notified the police in case the person wants to make an insurance claim. I don't think it was an expensive job. all depends on finding the owner of the car. the car park is used not only by shoppers but local residents and is notorious for damage to cars the spaces are too narrow and manoevering in and out across a busy road is dangerous. Road is laughingly 20MPH but hardly anyone sticks to that.. Just have to wait and see now and see if I can polish out the scrape on my car when it stops raining.
Mandy the card blanks are provided with matching envelopes. You will be sort of glad when the children return to school now. the parents are lucky to have you to help.

Evening all,
We're all tired out today the children keep us busy and amused with the things they say ,I never seem to sleep the same when they come listening out for them I suppose. It's been a nice sunny day after a bit of light rain first thing ,I did some washing but never got round to hanging it out.
Vera what a todo with your account you'll soon be able to write a book about it with all that's gone on and now it sounds as if you might be having a bit of an expensive time coming up with your household problems .
Anng you've made some lovely cards there they are very pretty are they a standard size so they fit in normal envelopes .
Ann another lovely painting when I showed it to Colin he thought it was a photo . How is your arm today after your jab ,I've heard one or two people say with this booster your arm is more painful ,have you had any more pain from your back or has that eased off. I think Colin said here you can have fences up to six foot six over that height you need planning permission.
Mel what did the boys think of the Bats ,I had to smile I gave Lewis the spider off the scarecrow and he said one of the legs had come off so he's now a disabled spider.
I have been making some mesh wreaths again I made five and sold three I never even had time to take a photo I must take a photo of the last two ,one is gold and white the other is red gold and green , dil's mum had a white and red and her friend had a green and white one and I did a red and gold one for my neighbour. It was the neighbour who asked if I would make her one as she liked mine I had on the door last year ,I soon used the four rolls and I've ordered some more as ive found something else I'd like to make with the mesh and I think they would sell well.
Oh OH'S poor toe that looks sore hope it soon heals

Glad you like it Mel! Yes I haven't looked it up yet, but I thought 6 foot was the height limit for a back fence unless you applied for and got planning permission to have it higher. I doubt she would have applied though as I know she hasn't checked out other things they have done. Mr O used to park his big van down the side of the bungalow, but now it's on the drive under their bedroom window with his headlights pointing at our bedroom window oposite, so is closer still to us. They also have a security light above the garage door too that is on all hours depending what callouts he gets, plus 2 lights at the front of the bungalow, but they are normal lights and no problem. Next door to him in Jean's old place is that new garden lamp post with 3 dazzling, even brighter lights, but I think someone must have spoken to them as they seem to have dimmed the brightness a bit.
I would have thought the council were at fault about the flooding if they didn't inspect that their refusal had been carried out by the builder when the 3 new places were built and added. We aren't going to get involved though, as when we 4 neighbours all opposed the plans for the new properties, it ended up with OH doing all the talking at the council meetings as, suddenly the others weren't available, yet we were the least affected. It can't flood our drive as it slopes up to our bungalow from the road.
Mrs O had an unpleasant altercation with workmen in the garden the other side not long ago, because they had a ladder near her expensive fence. I couldn't help but hear her from inside so did some curtain twitching to see what it was about. :-) Next thing she was putting a sheet over their car so hedge clippings didn't land on it and threatening to send her husband round when he came home. He is a quietly spoken man who just seems to do as he's told.
It's a nuisance these things cropping up isn't it Vera and more expense as Frank would say. Good idea to hang on till there's a problem with the pipe though, if sorting it could cause another problem..

I thought fences and hedges should not be higher than 7 foot. That is bad about the drainage though Ann, especially as the developers have gone out of business. Surely somebody somewhere should have checked that work probably at the council.
Ooh that toe does look poorly it must be very tender your poor Oh, hope it heals quickly.
Vera yes best to leave well a.lne. Hope the other job is not as expensive as you anticipate.
Thanks for all comments on the cards.

O what a picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great great great.
We had the deer in the garden this morning. I watched them as the went across and bypassed my nerines for the evening primroses. I don't mind them eating those as they are self sown.
Rang Em this morning to ask for the pumkin flesh for the chickens and she told me her sister had had covid and the sisters eldest daughter. Dropped off the sweets for the kids and Ed came out and gave me the pumkin flesh in a bucket and took the sweets from me so I did'nt even have to get out of the car.
Ann is'nt there a law about how high a person fence can be? and something about Ancient Lights? I would'nt put up with any of that and there must be something that can be done to stop her putting up a fence that high. As to her lights I don't know but the council should know something about both things surely.
