This is all i can find on Strike Ann but the 5th book did come out.
The BBC hasn’t yet confirmed whether or not the fifth book will be getting the small screen treatment, but given the previous seasons’ popularity, it seems likely.
That would mean that – provided the coronavirus pandemic doesn’t impact filming – we could expect to see Strike: Troubled Blood on the BBC as early as this time next year.
Don't know where today went but we did watch the Grand Prix this afternoon late.
I had a little play this morning with my poly clay and thats about all apart from cooking and washing up and getting a tea.

Evening All,
I look forwards to seeing your makes Mandy. The trees with little bells sound nice. :-)
I think given the Queen's age she may well have some degree of osteoporosis as over 1 in 4 have it after the age of 60 and I thought she was beginning to look quite hunched lately. FIL broke his back turning over in bed in his 90s and that was when he found out he had it. The doctor didn't even have to test for it as it was so likely with his age. It's a shame she had to miss the event as it has always been so important to her. I hope she soon recovers and at least she will be forced to rest with a bad back.
I've been painting this afternoon, but I've found it's tricky painting steam! For tomorrow we need a potato and a banana! I have no banana so it will have to be a picture of one. :-)
Mel do you know if Strike will be back soon or did we see the last one for now?

I can't help wondering how on earth the Queen managed to strain her back? I mean I have done it moving furniture around, shifting plant containers, even sweeping or hoovering. I don't suppose we shall know but it is a worry as it means she is frail now. whereas for her age she always seemed strong. And they have said it is not connected to the health concerns that have made her rest.

Thanks Mel yes describes it well. breathtaking to watch I seem to remember one year the button boy was from H.M.S. St Vincent in Gosport. There was always the fear that one would fall. I don't know that one ever did.

10 degrees here no sun not very bright either. Watched the parade from the beginning until the politicians' wreaths were laid. Love listening to the massed bands. Good to see that we can still do pageantry well.

good morning all 7 degrees here at the moment so a bit chilly but it is a bit brighter than it has been lately. I slept well and am showered and hair washed and dressed and bedding in washing machine. No plans at all really except to tackle changing one of the inks in my printer, not a job I enjoy as I struggle to remember the procedure. Did you all watch the festival of remembrance yesterday. I thought it was done very well this year. Loved the arrangement of When you walk through a storm but that was a bit emotional for me as it was one of the songs played at T's funeral.
does anyone remember when the festival consisted of a lot of gymnasts doing displays and they had the ships mast display with the button boy on the top? Probably 50s/60s

Good morning all
It’s a very grey morning again and everywhere looks wet so we might have had overnight rain. I don’t think anything will get done in the garden again today :-(
I didn’t have too bad a night. I’ve been up for a long while but haven’t got dressed or had breakfast yet. I haven’t any plans for the day.
I hope everyone is pain free this morning. Have a good day whatever you are doing

I have been feeding the hedgehog all week when i checked that the big girls wer'nt in the nest box. Both are moulting and have there curlers in so I suppose they think its a bit warmer in the nest box. Tbey were in there again tonight. The hog was quite small and it did have a big tick on its back which I did'nt take off as I did'nt have time.
I have trie d to make a mould today of a brooch I made years ago from an acorn from the Turkey Oak up on the big houses ground. I made it in plaster and was quite pleased with it so I have tried to take a mould of it today to make it in poly clay.
Angles sound nice in those colours Mandy wil we see a pic please and the trees too.

Oh Ann I would have loved to have seen OH's face when you said should he really be going to the footie lol Yes the christmastrees are like the ones I made a few years ago they have beads on them and the ones I'm now making will have little bells round the bottom too. I think I might then do another one of those trees I made a few years ago that was made with stitching triangles together in a tree shape
I'll send a photo of the ladies trees when I've done them and a photo of the triangle tree .
Mel the bird was having a real feast on the apple wasn't he and the last one he was looking right into the camera . Have you seen the hedgehog about .
Oh Vera sounds as if you had a good wine tasting evening ,good there was nibbles to go with the wine or you would have been staggering home :-D

You made me chuckle with your evening out at the mid eighty year old's Vera. Gosh, all those generous tastings with topups would have had me under the table! lol. It sounds as if you managed some coherent comments about them though. The last supper didn't sound too appetising so it was good you had nibbles instead. I bet you could hardly believe it when you opened that cheque. :-0 Now to track down the WFP as you say.
Mel that was a lovely pic of the Fieldfare eating some apple. I pointed one out to OH when we set off for his jab yesterday. It was in a tree in the garden of one of the new houses they built in the field near us where the horses used to be. I've forgotten where they migrate from now.

Afternoon All,
The PC is saying 'sunny' here but it's quite dark now! I slept better last night and didn't wake till 8.00am.
OH is on his way back from a match at Southam and I have been out along the lanes with my camera. Some nice autumn tree shots in the sunshine.
OH hoovered the lounge/diner, kitchen and hall before he went and emptied the hoover so that was good. We need to get the garden chairs put in the shed tomorrow before it rains on them again.
Mandy, he is putting on that his arm is more sore than it is!! lol. I caught him sniggering as he winced. :-D :-D He soon changed his tune when I asked if he really aught to go to footie with it hurting so much, ;-) It's good that covid hasn't spread around the family at the moment and that they all feel well. I hope it continues to be the case. It must be a game with all those tests to do. I would have been just the same with the mask and gloves and not touching the box! Of course, the bunnies would need food too wouldn't they. I never thought about people's pets. You are doing well with all your Christmas makes. I've forgotten what your Christmas trees looked like? Did we see them? I remember the lovely bigger fabric one you made a few years ago. Are they like that only smaller?
Did you get to do any craft things today Mel?

It’s been a grey and very damp day again here. It was too wet for OH to do anything in the garden as he’d planned.
It was sad to come home from our evening out yesterday to read the news about Sharron. She was a one-off and I think everyone will miss her on the boards.
We had a nicer evening than expected last night. OH had told me it was just us but another couple had been invited as well so there were 5 of us. Our hostess had 6 wines for us to taste and I enjoyed 5 of them very much. She did have some tasting notes for us to look at if we wanted to and I did make an effort to say what I thought about the wines, but otherwise it was much more informal than the last time we went to her. She had quite a lot of wine so was giving very generous “tastings” and then coming round with top ups before starting on the next wine. I did manage to stop her giving me any top-ups which was just as well as they were all strong wines. She is in her mid-80s but can certainly knock it back herself. She had plenty of nibbles but I was glad she hadn’t offered us anything more substantial as last time she asked OH and me to stay for supper which seemed to consist of a rather meagre slice of ham, some limp green salad, and some pieces of stale baguette! However, it was a pleasant evening with lots of chat and we stayed for 3 hours.
It's good that your car sold so quickly and for a good price AnnG. That’s another thing you have got settled now.
I hope your OH isn’t suffering any after-effects from his jab Ann. It sounds as though it all went smoothly and you were in and out quickly.
It’s good that your dil and Lacey aren’t feeling poorly with Covid Mandy. Even when people aren’t really ill with it, the dratted virus upsets everyone’s routine. I haven’t heard any more from my son but I am assuming no news is good news. I know my granddaughter will be devastated if she has to take even more time off school. This is her GCSE year and she is desperate for good grades as she wants to get on to the right A-Level courses to eventually allow her to study astro-physics at uni.
OH being firm on the phone with the bank seems to have had the desired result. WE HAVE A CHEQUE. At last. We’ll take it into the bank on Monday and pay it into our current account and then I can easily transfer most of it to the account where we want it to be. Now the only thing left for me to fret about is where my £100 WFP is going to end up.
If you happen to look in, EOS, I hope you are having a good weekend and that goes for all the posters on here.

Afternoon all ,
Really dull here and not as mild today there was a little light drizzle when I nipped out to get sons pcr test to post, what a week for them all lots of testing and so far only dil and Lacey down with it but both of them feel fine . Son and dil thought it best to keep everyone home from school ,he's not going out so I had to post his test off ,you should have seen me mask and gloves on up to the door leave my ploy bag open so son could drop the test in he shut the door and I picked the bag up I then went to the post box and slipped it in without touching the box . I had toget a bag of rabbit food for them so I left that on the step too.
I had a lady come to the door the other day she had bought a couple of my little Christmas trees I made she asked if I could make ten more as she wants to give them as Christmas presents for friends to hang on their trees so I've been busy cutting more out and stitching them . I've made two more Angels one in white and gold for son and dil and one in black and red which I'll sell the purple one is for dil's parents.
That was a shock to read another lady gone from the boards I use to like reading her posts of the unusual things she would put together to cook and preserve RIP Sharon.
Vera I hope your family have had negative results and are OK. What a todo with the bank again how you've not managed to blow your top at them I don't know I hope you soon get the cheque in your hands so you can close the account for good .
Ann How's OH today after his booster jab ,any side effects .

Good morning all, nearly 8am before I properly woke up this morning, slept most of the night except for 2 loo breaks fro 11pm. Doesn't look bad out there 9 degrees so colder than yesterday but the wind seems to have dropped. No real plans for today will see how it goes. Hope you all had a good sleep as well.
