I slept like a log again which is good.

Mandy I get those flutterings and they are a bit unsettling aren't they. I had them when I was getting all that pain a few weeks ago and I thought it was probably worrying about it. It's good you got an appointment and are getting checked out and can ask about them and the tightness in your chest as well. It may just mean you have a chest infection that needs antibiotics, so best to nip it in the bud if so. I hope you soon feel better.

Lots of frost here earlier on too and it looked quite pretty. Your OH is a hardy soul going for his walk Vera. I bet he did look cold too after his audition for Rudolph! :-D

It's just 1 degree here Mel. Better get lunch now.

I keep getting this fluttering in my chest as if my heart is skipping a beat now and then I was just talking to son and he said he's had the same thing .
I wondered if was some thing to do with the booster but son hasn't had his yet he had an appointment but had to cancel it as you have to wait so long after having covid.

Frost is lifting now with the sun

Hope you get some medication for that tight chest and hope its not pneumonia again.

7 degrees here and there is a very cold wind out there again and its coming from the south east I think.

Our weather is much the same as yours Mandy. It looks very pretty outside as it’s sunny for the first time in quite a while but so cold and frosty that the sun shining on the roofs, plants and our metal garden furniture is making everything sparkle. There was a wonderful sunrise this morning.

OH went out for his usual walk at about 8.30 am and looked frozen when he came back except for his nose which was glowing. I think he was auditioning to be Rudolph’s understudy ;-)

I’m sorry to hear you are still feeling so poorly Mandy. I hope it’s nothing worse than the after effects of a bad cold. Keep warm and rest. Sending you a gentle hug <3

Morning Mel, morning all,

Very sharp frost everywhere is white and it's saying -3 degrees but we do have some lovely sunshine.
I got through to the doctors this morning and should be having a call from the nurse practitioner early afternoon, I feel so tight chested and just not right ,I felt just like this when I had that bout of pneumonia so I hope it doesn't turn into that again.

Dull and dreary so nothing new there then but at least its not raining and I don't know if its windy but the trees ar'nt moving much. I hav'nt ventured out yet.

I would like to ice my cake today and also do Di's presents up.

May try and ring the docs again.

Slept really well last night which made up for the night before. Hope you all had a good sleep too.

What a nightmare for them AnnG. It sounds like it should have all been done and dusted ages ago, so no wonder your G daughter in law has PND.

Oh Mel you will have to try them as soon as their phones are on tomorrow. I hate it how they cut you off these days and say ring later. At least you got your wipe down done. We both had sneezing attacks last week but nothing came of them. I put it down to the dust when we were cleaning the lounge! lol. :-) Yes I remember Jane having her bolied eggs when the others were having things like Chilli. :-) It got me thinking about her too when I heard from Fitz. She hated anything in a shell same as me and Fitz would have her Rocket and anything else she didn't like! I still find it hard to believe she is gone and wonder how they all are.

I have whipped some bags of clothes out of the bottom of my wardrobe and had a sort out. Next I need to throw a few things out off the rails. I hate chucking things away but some old round the house things need throwing out and replacing with better things. I'm sure I have gone off a few things as well and they can go in the charity shop bag.

Glad you had a better night last night Vera and that your back isn't as painful. It's good to get your hair cut, I thought the same that mine will be ok for weeks now. It was thanks to OH that I wasn't late for my hair appointment as I was so convinced of the time I didn't bother to check my diary, so you aren't the only one going daft! Like you I didn't bother with Windows 11 when I got the invite to download and thought just the same as you. So how are you finding it now your OH has so kindly? downloaded it for you? No chance of my OH doing it for me as he would worry about messing something up!

Off to bed now as I want to be up early tomorrow. OH has notes to catch up with and I want to give the bathroom a good clean.

I did try twice more but got the same message. I will emaol tomorrow. I have been sneezing about 15 times this afternoon so I think I have a cold now and where do we get thesse colds from when we don't see anyone? Last week when I wsas sneezing and blowing my nose inthe morning it was bleeding and that lasted about a week.

Done the blimmin wipe down and am now whacked so oh gave me a nice G & T which I have downed now. I have got chilli out of the freezer for him tonight and I shall have a couple of boiled eggs which will suit me just fine. Jane always like boiled eggs if the boys were having someing with chilli in. we were so alike in many ways and I sorely miss her. <3 <3

Ann the kitchen has bee. A problem from start to finish. Late starting, and twice measured up wrong by two different planners, it is a big national firm but sub contracted out for different jo s. If they could get it wrong g they gave done. So. U h so that grand daughter in law has been diagnosed with PND.

Mandy have you had your P taken lately? Los. p. An make you feel like ghat. It is probably an effect of the cold. Grandson. Has also had a cold And was left with a cough not helped by all the dust.

I slept well, but didn't get up early. Before I dropped off to sleep there were bloodcurdling barks/screams outside the bedroom window. I woke OH who never heard a thing. It wasn't cats and I haven't heard foxes sound like that. They usually come down the close in summer if at all lately. Maybe it was a fox, but it had caught a rabbit or something? I kept expecting more noise afterwards.

It's not nice feeling lightheaded like that Mandy so it's a good idea to take a break and sit and watch Dr Szhivago. Maybe it is an effect of the cold you had?

That sounds a lot to take on for your grandaughter when she has a tiny baby AnnG, especially with Christmas around the corner! Hopefully the builders are nearly done now. Poor little Senua was probably missing her mummy and not happy after having that nasty needle stuck in her! That's a nuisance the window pole over your door at home coming down. I bet poor Cynth felt a bit guily. It's an easy thing to fix back up though. You are only one degree cooler than here in the Midlands. At least we have no fog today.

I have tried ring the surgery 5 times today only to be told "your call cannot be transfered please try later".

Iv'e just about had enough now. I am waiting for my delivery to arrive so hav'nt done the wipe down yet as its not here!!!! I wanted to ice my cake today but thats out of the question now.

We've just had at least 12 LTT on the feeder and I don't know how many in the box hedge as you can hear them keeping a look out.

It's been another grey day and quite cold. It’s supposed to get down to -4 tonight. Brrr..

Mandy, it sounds as though you have tried to do too much while you’re still under the weather. Try and rest more if you can.

AnnG, I don’t envy your grandson and his wife having all that work done in his house while coping with a small child and a baby. Is Inara as lively as ever? I bet she is getting excited about Christmas.

Mel, you must be spitting feathers about your surgery and jabs. Have you rung them yet? The more I hear about other people’s problems with gps and hospitals, the more I realise how good ours have been.

My back is still quite sore but not as painful as it was and I got a bit more sleep last night. I had my haircut this morning so that’s out of the way for 5 or 6 weeks. Now I am waiting for Sainsbury’s who should be here between 4 and 5 pm. Apparently I have 3 subs. 2 are sensible substitutions but 1 will have to go back as it has a honey glaze and I can’t take honey. The other one is definitely going back. I ordered some Stollen and they are sending me a Sticky Toffee Christmas Pudding. No, thank you.

I thought I had better just check the time of my ear appointment tomorrow as I couldn’t remember what time I had arranged. Good job I checked as it isn’t tomorrow at all. It’s on Thursday. I’m definitely getting dafter as I get older.

Sainsbury’s are here. Wipe down, here I come.

Dull and cold here so we lit the fire and finished wrapping the presents I then came over all heady and felt quite light headed ,Colin thinks I've been doing to much ,I have been doing a lot lately getting ready for Christmas so this afternoon I'm going to watch Dr Zhivago I like the music in it .

Glad you arrived OK Anng I bet it was nice to see the little ones even though Senua was a bit grumpy bless her .

Good afternoon all. Another grey day here and only three degrees. Spent the morning looking after Inara and Senua who had just had her first injections. Baby was fine until not long before they were Collected but had about an hour grumpy. They have gone now. Problem is they are having a new kitchen put in and reconfigured with the dining room. Sub contractors have not proved to be very good and have everything g I.
N a mess so they are living in the bedrooms but, as you can imagine there is dust everywhere. And it is touch and go if it will be finished for Christmas.
And new from home, apparently the curtain polee over the front door fell down last night when Cynth
Pulled the curtains. So that has to be done when we go home.

Mel have you now contacted your surgery again, that is bad if them. Hi

Morning Alkl,

Well I wished you all a good sleep but I got up in the night, no idea what time but it was dark and the moon was shining in the west window of the bedroom, but do you think I could drop back off again. Iv'e just got up 10 mins ago so I must have had a little more sleep. Oh got up when I cam e back to bed.

Its my big wipe down today but they arenot coming till 4pm which is rather late really but I managed to cancel our order for today by trying to add soemthing to my order of thae other week. I did manage to get this later slot for the same day though which was a relief.

I rang Di last night and we had a long chat and she told me they went to Okehampton for their boosters but her SIL next door went on the 15th to Holsworthy drop in like we were supposed to go and by the time she got to the hall they had run out of vacine. So what happened next? SHE WENT TO BLACK TORRINGTON SURGERY ON SATURDAY AND HAD IT DONE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our surgery who told me they did'nt have the fridge to keep the vacine in. I am so cross I could burst. :-| :-| :-|

Sorry sorry, no we were here by 1pm but it then got chaotic. Before we had unloaded the car that was heaving with bags and bags of presents, from me and from Hampshire, and had lunch, Inara and Senua plus Mum and later Dad, had srrived and stayed a couple of hours then it was unpack, have a drink, and a meal. Anyway the journey went well, traffic heavy But moving. Scenery up here unusual with low cloud and reflections on the nearest lake to where we are plus snow in pockets on the tops. Oh and zi had to charge my IPad and phone when we got here.

Nearly there with your present wrapping then Mel. I only have OH’s to wrap now.

I wonder what’s going on at your neighbours with the filming Ann. You do have an interesting group of people in your road.

I hope AnnG had a good journey up to her daughter’s. I am sure she’ll be in touch when she has time. I wonder if she has met the new baby yet.

My back was giving me so much trouble last night that I got hardly any sleep at all and have been like a zombie all day. I have managed to do some washing and cook our dinner but that’s all. OH changed the bedding for me, including a king size duvet cover. It seemed to take him ages and I could hear him muttering “there’s got to be an easier way”. Now he knows why I hate doing it.

We were supposed to be at a club meeting tonight with a buffet supper and a Secret Santa. I had been dithering whether to go or not so I was very relieved when it was cancelled. As that’s a couple of things that we have now missed I have 3 Secret Santa presents going spare.

I am getting my hair cut tomorrow and I will keep that appointment. The chairs are well spaced and they are only taking in a couple of people at a time. My hair’s got quite long and I want to get it cut now in case we go into lockdown again. I’ve also got a Sainsbury delivery tomorrow so I hope this back is easier before that arrives.

Our neighbour knocked with “Christmas Scones” that he’d cooked with his grandchildren on Zoom today. They were very tasty with cinnamon and cranberries. OH gave him a bottle of wine as a little thank you for all the treats we’ve had from him through the year.

I’m going to have a look at the crossword in today’s paper and then I might take some painkillers and try to get some sleep. I hope you all have a good night.

That's a good job done then Mel, with only Di's left to do. Yes I thought we may hear from AnnG later today. Maybe the journey was longer than usual, especially if there was any fog around. I'd forgotten it was the shortest day tommorow. That will be good with longer days to look forward to.

I haven't seen a Bullfinch around here for a few years now. The more they build houses, the more birds move out. Judging by all the Pigeons in the trees at the bottom this morning I think they have been telling their pals that bread scraps are available here. At least they can't balance to gobble the fat balls.
