Good morning all, another grey looking day and only 1 degree at the moment. I don't think it is going to rain here today, not sure about Evesham though it is a bit further north. Last time we went it poured with rain. The shops are not under cover but the garden centre is a large one so plenty of cover there. guess we will need warm coats though. |

O no I hope you manage to stay clear of covid if G has it Ann. He must have picked it up at one of his schools. I hope he is not too bad with it and soon recovers and dos'nt pass it on to you. |

Thank you Gwyn and Vera. We are used to using different bedrooms so that will help and I will use the ensuite and he can shower in the bathroom which may also help and he is keeping away from me and wearing a mask when he is in the lounge or kitchen and we've had windows open and put fleeces on today. |

Sorry to hear OH has got Covid, Ann. I hope he has a mild dose and you manage to avoid it, though that may be difficult when you are living in the same house. I think it’s odd that we are only “advised” to stay home now but I suppose the plan is to build up some herd immunity. We tested this morning as we were going to the diamond wedding do this afternoon and we would hate to think we had Covid without knowing it and had been responsible for spreading it round. Of course not everyone feels the same. |

Thanks Mandy. It's good DIL's father has had his 4th jab now. They have soon started them which is good. Those pigs in blankets you are crocheting sound good. I look forward to seeing them when you have finished a few. :-D At least you got a section of the wall done before you had to come in and warm up with some parsnip soup. I think I read somewhere that the Midlands are due some snow in the middle of next week, but maybe it will be warmer where you are. :-) |

I've got everything crossed AnnG! I was catching up with the latest advice earlier and was surprised that there is nothing to stop someone going out and about now with covid as it is only 'advice' to stay at home. People are advised to work at home if they can as well, but it isn't a rule anymore. Some will ignore advice, especially now furlough has ended and if they need their pay. |

Yes they do have more than one brood as do Robins. Blue Tits on the other hand only have one brood and I think that applies to Great Tits too. |

I think she needs to make up her mind!!! One female blackbird in the garden and three demanding males. Obviously leading them a bit of a dance. Maybe she is alloting 'numbers' as to who is first and second etc. I believe blackbirds have more than one brood a year and not necessarily with the same mates. :-D :-D |

Not sure how true this is but Grandson tells me they have a quota for the number of items to be picked (I assume per day), if they reach that quota, even if the items are still on the shelves they can't pick them. |

Good morning all, dry and dull so far. Tesco order this morning, not happy with it this week. For the first time in two years I have 4 substitutes and three unavailable (out of stock). Wonder why so bad all at once. and the unavailable includes milk and slim line tonic. None of it drastic, I always buy more tonic than I need for when daughter comes and I have milk. The subs are aggravating but acceptable. But what I don't understand is, when I go on line and look at the items, none of them are shown as unavailable. |

You have a nice lot of colour i the garden Anng. I have hyacinths out too and lotsof little daffs and some primulas I planted a couple of years ago which have increased and today at the shop I bought a lovely pale pink one, the ones with the bronzey leaves but I can't think of the name of them at the mo. I have two flowers on my Fire this year and I think they need to get inthe ground to produce more flowers. I must find a place for my special snowdrops too as they done seem to flower in pots. One was going to flower but a slug got at it, blast..... They are from the churchyard and were all lying on the top of the ground so I brought them home. They have large wide leaves. |
