Well another post lost It seems to be my week for it.

I buy quite a lot on ebay as sometimes things are cheaper than Amazon. I've bought a few things that are auctioned too and got some brand new, less than half price paints that I liked once. I haven't sold much, but it's easy if things sell. not so straightforward if they don't though. I obviously need more practice.

I'm suspicious of these deals too Vera but you found a good saving with the pressure washer! Your place will be smart as well as colourful outside next year. :-) My cooker has stubby little feet, but I think I will use a mat under it. I've seen one on line that's black like my worktops so that should do nicely. I suspect I will use the high setting on the cooker most with us having our main meal at lunch time, so it will get hotter than the other settings. I think most garden centres are becoming more like supermarkets lately. I'll be interested to see what the one is like I plan to go to tomorrow, weather permitting. I haven't been since before the pandemic. OH will be watching the England match and I can't stand the baying and roar of the crowds all afternoon!

OH thinks his migraine was because he was squinting at the sun at the match all afternoon and he also hadn't drunk anything all afternoon either. He's lucky compared with you Vera as he doesn't get the headache these days, just the eye disturbances with white zigzags across his eyes and the horrid, tired, washed out feeling after. Luckily it came on after he had driven home.

You got a lot sorted this afternoon AnnG. I must see if I can get some cards tomorrow.

I bought 7 dolls house dolls on ebay. I only really want three of them so may put the others back on ebay. I have my SIL coming sometime next week to show me how to put things on ebay so I better sort out some stuff to go on there. May put the other chisels on there and the laser cutter but buyers will have to collect that as I can't parcel that up and send it its too complicated and then there's the pc that goes with it. I also have a jig saw that will make jig saws and lot of other bits.

You've been busy with all your present wrapping and card writing AnnG. I must get to the Cards for Good Causes shop in the library and buy some cards. I've managed to order a present for one of my granddaughters today so I now have 2 presents organised. Well, I suppose it's a start.

My OH has bought and sold on eBay in the past though I have never done it. Most of the items we have sold have been quite large so he always says that the buyer has to collect. Come on, Mel, tell us what you bought. I'm guessing something craft connected. Thanks for the photos. The fieldfare looked as though he was enjoying his picnic and the photo of the robin is lovely. You can keep the frost please though I see we are predicted to drop to 0 degrees tonight. Brrr

Ann, I don't think the base of my cooker gets very hot but mine is on feet, no more than 1 cm high but enough to leave an air space underneath. You're wise to stand it on something if you are unsure. You don't want to risk burning your surface. I hope your OH's migraine is better today.

There was an hour's break between the rain yesterday so I got the rest of the daffs planted - 3 more big pots and a few little tete-a-tete in the garden. I planned to carry on with the rest of the tulips, just a dozen or so bulbs, but the heavens opened so it didn't get done. Neither did I get any h/w done. The morning seemed to slip away and in the afternoon we went to an out of the way garden centre that we haven't visited for years. I was a little bit disappointed as it used to be much more of a plant nursery but now it seems to have fewer plants but to sell everything, like any other garden centre. Having said that, it was all good quality stuff and its Christmas goods were beautiful but expensive. All I ended up buying was a small Secret Santa present but we had a nice cake and a pot of tea in the restaurant.

Today seems to have flown by and I've not done much again. We did have our Sunday roast with "afters" and everything except some greens got cooked together in the oven. I must admit we did enjoy it.

I found a good Black Friday deal yesterday. I am very wary of these so-called "deals" as they are not often as good as they sound but this sounded OK. OH never liked pressure washers but early in the summer I persuaded him to borrow our daughter's small Karcher one. Now he wants one but not that one. Oh no! He wants a powerful Spear & Jackson one at £220. I said I thought that was too much to spend on something that would get very little use. Yesterday I found that Argos were selling it at half price £110. We checked carefully that it was the same one and had all the right attachments so I ordered it. I think it does everything but sing you a lullaby lol. I've had an email today to say it is at our local Sainsbury's and we can pick it up so OH is pleased and I am flavour of the month.

I'm rambling on again. I hope you all sleep well with no restless dreams tonight. I've got a busy day tomorrow so thank goodness I seem to be getting a bit of energy back..

finished wrapping son's family's presents. so just daughter's and son in law's and Cynth's and the two step grandaughter's

And halfway though writing the cards. tired now so my writing was getting bad so I have stopped. Do more tomorrow.

Good for you to have a lazy start sometimes, hopefully your OH's migraine has gone. Hope the shopping didn't get wet.

Mel well done, T always used to buy and sell on Ebay but it has never appealed to me at all.

Annx Report 20 Nov 2022 15:46

What did you buy Mel? Weren't you allowed to before? Next you will be able to sell things too. :-)

Annx Report 20 Nov 2022 15:44

Afternoon All,

Yes we had a lie in AnnG! We planned to go for a walk this morning, but neither of us slept well so gave it a miss. OH had a migraine when he went to bed, then like you he said he was dreaming, but his dreams were about ghosts!! lol. I woke at about 6.00am and noticed a beam of light across the ceiling that disappeared and came back a few times. As it was just getting light I thought it might be a good sunrise so got up to have a look through the window. It wasn't the sunrise, it was a car going up the close slowly and stopping a couple of times before carrying on slowly. It made no noise so was probably electric. (hadn't thought before, but they are ideal for thieves at night aren't they.) I hope it wasn't someone up to no good.

You need to get your Christmas organised early with the swapping of presents don't you AnnG, but it's good to get ahead with things anyway. It's good you got some eggs with your order and nice deep yolked ones too. The far west of Cornwall was badly hit with bird flu a few months ago, but things may be better as it isn't on any news I've seen since.

Sunny here first thing Mel, but your rain showers seem to have arrived here, just as the food order is soon to arrive. I hope it doesn't get soaked. It always seems like Christmas will soon be here when you start the advent ring. Good idea to have a day off and do some craft.

I have just got my first thing on an ebay auction. First time I have ever done anything like this .

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 20 Nov 2022 12:12

I thought they might be for the girls Mel.

Probably quite a lot on my mind with the dishwasher and getting all the Christmas presents in the right place on time. Got all son's family's presents wrapped and ready to go on the 3rd when he collects them. Grandson's are all ready as well. Just be the other grandson's to be collected then on 11 December. Then I was working out when I can get my Christmas cottages done. I think that will be 30th November.

Tesco been. I did get eggs (The St Ewe ones) But a couple of things unavailable and mushrooms a short date (22nd).

Morning Anngf and all,

Forgot to post this morning as I am bidding for something on ebay.

Its was a nice bright morning with sunshine although no frost this morning but by 10.30am it clouded over and then we have had hailstones.

I think I have a day to myself today so I am making the most of it doing my minitures and washing my hair.

Sorry you had a strange night Anng were there certain things on your mind? Perhaps tonight will be better. <3

Bet Mandy is getting on with her knitting. Do any of you know if she is making them for the girls? or is she going to sell them?

Good morning all. Are you all having a Sunday lie in? I didn't have a brilliant night, enough sleep but not consistent and full of dreams and confusion. Order coming this morning. Although a lot of eggs were unavailable I have ordered the more expensive St Ewe ones which I like, ordered 6 of two different types and they appear to not have been out of stock. They are lovely eggs though with a rich dark yellow yolk. Cornish I think so maybe not hit by the bird flu yet.

Just done some ironing but now have backache so I stopped. Since having the shower back I seem to change my clothes more often for some reason hence kots of ironing and with it not drying outside it needs ironiung properly. If it drys ok outside it goes on the airer in the uti room so dos'nt really need ironing.

Tomorrow I am going to strip the church advent ring as I hav'nt done it and they want it for the 27th Nov as thats the first of advent so it must be dressed by then.

Annx Report 19 Nov 2022 15:54

Good idea to get out for a walk in the sunshine AnnG. Sadly it stayed gloomy here, but at least I cleared the space on the worktop. I had saved far more plastic spread containers and jamjars than I will need so the surplus have gone in the recycling. I even found packet of radish seeds that had fallen between them! Thank you for telling me what you have under your slow cooker and I think I will put something under mine to protect the worktop just in case.

I've finished the food order and now I'm getting my paints out although the artificial light isn't great.

AnninGlos Report 19 Nov 2022 12:50

It is so nice here that I have just been for a walk, just 30 minutes including a short sit down in the park. This was around the block through the houses and through the little copse by the park I did take my camera but the photos tend to be repetitive.

With the slow cooker, I have not checked Ann but mine sits on a marble (type) board so that would not be damaged. Might be a good idea to sit it on something.
I cooked my meal in the air frier last night, took about 15 minutes on 190. It was fish fingers, calamari, chips and a large mushroom. All cooked in the same basket, the mushroom added halfway through.

Afternoon All,

Just lost a post but why does it happen near the end!

It says mostly sunny here and 9 degrees but the sun has been replaced by gloom and threatening black clouds! OH is off to a local match soon and if the sun does reappear I might go out with my camera. Otherwise some long overdue H/W and clearing some pandemic excess storage from the kitchen worktop so my slow cooker can live next to the microwave and a handy socket. On that subject, can you ladies who have one advise me whether the base gets very hot as I have plastic worktops and wondered if I ought to use a mat under mine?

We were up early and I got my usual 3 boxes of XL eggs from the farm shop and there were plenty, but I expect the supermarkets will be affected first.

I'm thinking with the World Cup starting soon it may be a good time to go to a garden centre I like about 30 miles away. They usually have a good christmas display and some things you don't see elsewhere and should be quieter than usual with all the football on. Luckily OH doesn't watch most of the matches, thank goodness, but I can pick a day to go when he does so I can escape for a while!

Mel it was frosty where you are wasn't it. The Fieldfare was enjoying an apple and the pic of the Robin is lovely!

I bet you were spoiled for choice in the wool shop Mandy and fancy the lady having broken her wrist a few months ago too! It must take a long time for these things to heal, as the wrist has so many bones in it. I'm sure knitting must be good for exercising the tendons though and I look forward to seeing the ram and the owl when you have made them. :-). No it wasn't very good for OH with all the background noise and a quiet speaker. One lady just turned round and went home again!

I see you have graduated to cartoons from matchstick men then! :-D I think I will be trying hard to improve mine later this afternoon.

I have some and enough for me in the freezer Anng. Glad you liked the pics. Its 8 degrees here now and it come over a bit cloudy.

I have just put a couple of cable tied around the fence on the back wall as the wind had blown in off the wall.

AnninGlos Report 19 Nov 2022 11:30

Thanks for the photos. Please keep that frost down there. All those apples going to waste too. I know they are good for the birds but they would be food for you in your freezer.

Morning all,

Dull and dreary here don't know if it's cold out as I haven't ventured out yet .
I put eggs on my list as son and dil are doing our shopping this morning ,we usually get our eggs from the farm but I leave them to get them from where ever they are shopping so we'll see if they get any .

I managed to have a walk up to the new wool shop ,nice friendly lady running it and some lovely wool in there ,we got talking and blow me if she hadn't broken her wrist in June and she's still getting pain from it .
I bought some blue wool and a grey ready for the Owl but at the moment I'm doing the Ram.

That wasn't very good them double booking the hall Ann it must have been very hard to concentrate and listen when there's all that going on in the background.
I'm sure your next painting will be good if I did one mine would definitely be a cartoon lol :-D

Morning AnnG, Mel and all

7 degrees here but very grey and mizzly-drizzly. I haven’t got any plans for the day. I might try and look online for a few Xmas presents.. I suppose I could always do a bit of h/w; the windows could do with a clean. I’ll just have to see what mood I’m in later on.

Moening Anng and all,

You my not have a frost but we have but the suns out and its burning it off. Its 2 degrees here and pc says partly sunny.

Better get dressed as the man is coming for the chisels today and to pay me.

Sorry the eggs would'nt survive the post so I shall just have to sell them to Em and Angela next door but one.
