Evening all,

It's been another lovely sunny day after a very sharp frost first thing ,we went shopping and then this afternoon I had my tablet review ,she also did my blood test for my sodium level which I had booked for next week so she cancelled that appointment.
Tomorrow is haircut day, then Saturday we might get the greenhouse out and put that together if it keeps nice and sunny.

Vera so sorry you've had a nasty migraine again , I hope it's started to ease and that your back is easier too , rest up and get better soon .

Mel your doing so well :-D keep it up , I did ask about when I should use the lime on the garden but I expect you missed it ,not sure if I put some on now or when we plant the runner beans .

Keep meaning to say I had a big queen wasp in the kitchen this morning which I swatted. I have had them in the kitchen in the Spring before and in my shed. Yesterday I had two peacock butterflies come in the shed so I caught them very carefully in my hand and popped them out the door.

BIL turned up to mow as its a nice dry day. I had an appointment with the nurse at 4pm so I rang to see what it was for and the silly bloke told me it just said COPD so off I went. Waited in the room and the nurse came out and in her room we went and she said to me back again I only saw you on Monday and I told her I had rung up. She said he should have come and asked her as she did the test on Monday when she gave me the inhailer. So I wasted diesel I don't have. I told her I was going to Hatherleigh to get some diesel and she said good luck. When I got back BIL was in the driveway talking to Simon and Janine. I stopped him going and asked him if he could bring me some diesel tomorrow when he cames as I did'nt want todrive to Hatherleigh and they not have any. Its 18 miles there and back so I want a ddrop to know I can go and get some somewhere.

Been a beautiful day and Iv'e been inside tidying up and getting ready for Stu this evening and he messaged me to say he had an appointment at 5pm and did'nt think he could make it tonight. I said leave it till next week then at mine. So I now have sausages, carrots boccoli and mash for two and there's only me. Me thinks that tomorrows dinner too.

I had a big salad last night and really enjoyed it.

12 weeks today still not smoking................................... :-D

yes it was a really lovely day Gwyn and it is again today 16 degrees. Jake and Dad dis two quite big jobs this morning, repainting the garden bench and a good power wash of the rear patio and side pathway. That all looks good now so they have finished for today two of them working three hours. And will be back to finish the current lis tomorrow. Then riley will work out what he is going to do on another occasin to rebuild my water feature. that is a separate job to be costed.

I have just planted the only seeds I intend growing. The sungold tomatoes. Any other tomatoes I will buy plants later. Should have been 10 seeds but I countes 11. If they run true to form for me they will not all grow. I only need about 6 but friends will take the rest. :-)

Thank you for the photos Ann.
What a beautiful day it was. The sky is an amazing colour and the sun shines brightly on the lovely stones.
The flowers give a great display, so it was a lovely outing for you.

It's turned out to be a lovely day here.
There was a definite chill earlier, but it is warmer now, but I will have to think about how soon I'm doing more gardening, as my knees were protesting yesterday evening, after my morning's effort.

I wasn't too bothered about my bag, once I knew where it was, as it spent the night at the vicarage, before the vicar returned it to me the next day.
As my house keys, cash and bank card were all in there, it could have been more serious though, but all was well, so it's no point worrying about something that worked out OK.

Morning girls,

Yes do what the others say Vera your health is more important then reading our posts and replying. Hope you had sleep last night as it always makes you feel better.

Its 11 degrees here with blue skies and hardly a cloud in site out the front to the north.
I have the nurse today at the surgery and tomorrow the foot doctor. I hav'nt been to him since before Christmas with being in hospital and getting over the flu. I had an appointment on 9th Jan which was a later one as I did'nt want the one he offered so very near to Christmas. I have been managing myself but not very well.

Gwyn I bet you were glad to get your bag back and that was a good idea to do the front garden while waiting for it to arrive.

Looking forward to the pics Anng.

Mandy hope everyhing is now settling down for you now. A little at a time and then rest. <3

good morning all. another lovely sunny morning 6 degrees so still chilly but a good day for Jake to do the garden, when he gets here, Just had an email to say he was just having breakfast be here soon. 0915, definitely not an early starter.

I have just downloaded my photos from yesterday so will send a few out in a minute. Have to find a few jobs to do around the house now as Jake will be here. And have to be jobs that can bear with interruptions.

Vera, I do hope that you feel better today. If you do please take it easy for a day to properly recover.

Vera
So sorry to read that you have felt so unwell.
It must make each day so difficult, so I hope each day sees an improvement and each night brings restful sleep <3

Today has started bright and sunny.
Yesterday was very pleasant and I did a bit of tidying in the front garden, while I was confined to home.
One, it needed doing... and two, I could be sure not to miss the knock on the door, which would mean my bag had returned.
I noticed my bluebell heads were starting to 'blue'.
Surely this is a bit early for bluebells to be in flower?

I hope you all have a good day.

Hope you feel better tomorrow Vera and the cotton wool has left your head. Just rest and get back as soon as you feel better, we all understand.

Mandy I have sown my tomato seeds and my cues and some runner beans and sweet peas which I hae been meaning to od for ages. I sowed those too late last year and did'nt get good results. I like a few sweet peas in the kiutchen as they give off a smell I can take without tasteing it.

Not sure if any of you watch the channel U but the next series of The Murder Mystery Club has started tonight. I watched the first series and liked it so I shall watch the next one.

Sorry I haven't been on for a couple of days. This will be brief. I developed a migraine on Monday afternoon and am having trouble shaking it off. It's not even that the pain is that bad this time but I'm struggling to hold my head up without support and my brain is full of cotton wool. I feel as though I am wearing someone else's head. I couldn't go to our club meeting on Monday but OH went down with the raffle prizes and milk and biscuits and a couple of the ladies there took over making the teas and coffees for me.

I haven't read the latest posts but will try to catch up with them tomorrow if I can. In the meantime I hope you are all free of aches and pains and are sleeping well. I'm now off back to bed.

Mel, yes we started with a fortnightly order when we first booked our recurring slot. We can still book one off extra slots if we needed one. The easiest way for you to try it out would be to go online when you want to miss a next order and you will see a box with 'skip a slot' above the order and you can just click on that each time you want to miss a delivery till you are sure fortnightly works ok for you.

I would have enjoyed the talk about the meteorite AnnG. I went to an exhibition of the Barwell Meteorite not far from here a few years ago and enjoyed that. It does make a difference when you get good speakers too. The garden visit sounded good, but a shame you didn't stop for lunch. I had to go a different route I knew past where I lived when I was first married to go to the garden centre I went to this morning. They are building a really massive estate in what was a lovely field with great views on the corner of the tiny island you turn left at to get to the garden centre It has 3 way traffic lights that are causing horrendous traffic jams at busy times and have been causing OH to go miles out of his way to get to some of his schools in time. It's due to carry on like this for months too.I was pleased to get the baskets I wanted. I see the other papers are saying what you said about the ages of the students meant they haven't had vaccinations for this strain of meningitis.

Mandy that must have been a relief that the ECG was all normal and it's good your head is a lot better. Just take it easy for now and rest when you need too. I have a feeling I got some courgette seeds a while ago and must check. I want to do them in pots outside this year.

I hope Vera's back isn't still causing problems, but expect she is busy giving support to her neighbours who have the poorly granddaughter. I hope she's ok.

Still 16 here. Just come in with my sown tomato seeds to put in the uti room. Its really hot out in the shed today.

Hungry now so something to eat I think. I have forgotten to take my bread out of the freezer so it could be crumpets for lunch and a cuppa soup.

Oh thats good Gwyn ,hope you've managed to get out and meet up with your friends .

Mel what seeds have you sown? I keep wondering if I should sow my tomatoes and cucumbers ,I can't remember when I did them last year .
Mel you said about putting Lime on the garden to help the runner beans , do we put it on now so it soaks in before we plant the bean plants or after we've planted .

Home now as, sadly, my friend who took me didn't want to stop for lunch. We got to the garden ok, traffic was heavy with lorries obviously following their satnavs as they would usually all be on the M5. It was clear when we ame home though and we were not help up at all. One of the things about the visits we do this time of year is that there are not many flowers so we can see the bones of the garden. It is a huge Arts and crafts garden with a lovely old Arts and crafts house, wonderful view they must have from their windows. We enjoyed it, there were a lot of levels and steps so I was glad of my stick. Might have a couple of photos to send later.

It is 17 degrees here, had a coffee in my garden when I got in and it is really hot out there.

Mandy good that the ECG was fine so one less thing to worry about. Just continue to take it easy.

Put the washing on the line. I had washed 9 dusters with other stuff so that all blowing nicely in the sun. Its now 16 degrees and I have been in the shed sowing seeds and just come in for the ones I forgot to take with me. :-D
