I want to swear now :-S :-S........Our Boiler has a LEAK.....Yes that dreaded word again.Just rang B Gas and they will be here between 8 and 1 tomorrow.it must have been leaking for a while as the garage floor underneath is VERY WET.

Frank Chris got the ladies car unlocked by using some attachment on his Swiss Army knife. So he had done his good deed for the day.

The girls are here now.Jess is upstairs doing some Uni work until James gets in from work and Hannah is down here looking a something to buy on line on her laptop. She is off later to see some friends.

I don't know whether to switch off the boiler or just let it drip.It will be cold if I do turn if off and it is a bit late to light the woodburner.I think maybe we will keep it going until we go to bed and then turn it off.I don't think the house will blow up.

Very difficult for young children to start any type of schooling. Not knowing anyone must be more upsetting than we know. I was lucky I went to first school with my TWIN. in fact she was in the same school as me until we were 15 Even though from 11 to 15 she was in the girls school and I of course in the boys !!! (hoe unlucky was I )!!!

Dinner all sorted. I found some Lamb Shanks in the freezer. I have chopped up loads of root veg, and put in a few baby tomato's on top. Part boiled them. Spread them out on a baking tray, with olive oil and the Mediterranean Vegetable Mix. All ready to go in later. There is enough Veg. to feed an army ;-) ;-) ;-) Hope Madam is hungry.

I have phoned Johnathan and ask him if he can pop round, to sort out the printer. If not compatible , I will have to buy another, and sell this Cannon on Ebay. or in the paper.

Jane, When I was with a Finance Company I had to re-poses Cars. I built up a collection of keys that could open almost any car. So would go back after dark and take the car from the drive or outside the house. It gave the owner (hirer) a nice shock the next morning. I always informed the local police of the car being taken in case it was reported STOLEN. I always LIVED on the EDGE. ;-) ;-) ;-) But I did enjoy my jobs. !!

Sky is very dark now, and the wind is getting up. So I expect we will have rain later. No going out for me tonight.

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and this evening.

Not sure about the other children going to the same nursery, Sofia & Matteo are being brought up in the catholic faith like their dad and their school is called Our lady & St Francis.
but I do think there is a little girl who lives in the same street as Matteo called Holly and I think she will be going to the same nursery. anyway Sofia will be there in primary 2 so he might see her around.

Happy Birthday to young Matteo <3 <3..I'm sure he will soon settle into Nursery Fiona. Will he be moving on with other children he knows from Playgroup?

Oh oh .I have to go and look to see if we have any old style car keys. Some lady has locked her keys in her car in the lay-by .She has 2 huge Staffie type dogs .
Then I must dash to get Hannah and Jess from the station.
So sorry to dash but will BBL

Afternoon all,

Up at the Doctor's and Nurse this morning. Drs to see about the rash that is still on my legs. Antibiotics and another lot of pill, and two types of cream. I then had my monthly injection with the nurse. (Testosterone)

I see you have all been very busy since I was here yesterday.

BLACK FRIDAY. I am getting fed up with it already, every advert on tele and most of my emails were about it. Why buy anything CHEAP if you don't need it. !!! It's still a waste of money.

Hope you are feeling a bit better David, just take it easy.

All these aches and pains you girls have got. I can see I will have to trade you lot in for younger models, who are fit :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

That's a good idea Liz, with all these dogs being stolen, it's better to be safe that sorry.

I need Ruby's address as well please,

It was the thread tensioner on the machine, which I found out on you tube. They had a video of how to adjust it. Ros has never interfered with the dial, that's why she didn't know what to do, She saw the woman again last night, she no longer wants it, as it's got an automatic cotton threader. WHAT AN EXCUSE ???

That's a lot of postage Mel, It makes you think, it might be better to put a bit of money in the envelope instead of a present.

Ros has got her Card list out from last year and is just started to write the cards. I must get on and start mine.

Haven't thought about dinner for tonight, so I had better get something from the freezer, or it will be a trip to the F & C shop.

Horrible damping afternoon here, so no plans for doing anything.

I still can't get my printer to work. Something I must have done, I will have to get Johnathan round to look at it. If he comes in daylight hours, I will get him to put up the new security light. Saucy aren't I ??

.

I have been and posted all my parcels this morning and my cards and had to spend £27 on postage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The things I have sent did'nt cost that much.

I went in the docs to see if they have my pills ordered in October and they still say they are out of stock. BUT today I saw one of the girls who dispenses and she has ordered them from a different supplier so we will see if they turn up this time...... ;-)
The other man dispenser is foreign but quite helpfull but since we have had him all the makes of pills have changed and I think he is getting cheaper ones.

We have that rain in the air Mandy, the stuff that gets everywhere and makes you feel cold. I turned t he heating on when I got back becasue I was cold and when I did toast and oh came out to the kitchen he asked if I had turned the heating on. Cheek just cos he was'nt cold. He dos'nt like it hot in here but I feel cold around my face today. Sounds silly dos'nt it......

Just having a coffee and then I suppose I shall have to get lunch :-| :-|

Forgot to post it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all and evening Kim,

Cloudy once again today. not been out yet so don't know what its like outside, whether its cold or not.

Bought a little Christmas tree (artificial) in the charity shop yesterday for £1. It is a fibre optic one and runs on batteries which are already in it and it works!! It's only 9" high sitting in a 3" high basket and it flashes from red to green. Ideal for the top fo the pc.

Bit of a dodgy tum this morning but my back/hip is a lot better.

Morning All,Evening Kim,

Sorry you're not feeling well David, hope you will be soon better, There's a lot of colds going around here too.

Happy Birthday to my grandson Matteo thats him 3 today, yesterday was his last day at playgroup and he starts Nursery on Monday, he is the total opposite to Sofia who is more outgoing and had no problems mixing with other children. Matteo takes a while to come round and is very clingy with his mum.

Has anyone got Ruby's home address, could you please send me a pm

Been doing up parcels after I got back from Holsworthy.

Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving Ruby and your dish sounds nice.

Sorry to hear FIL has more falls Ann but you can't be bbehind them all the time and he just forgets the walker, bless. Sounds like Ivy has her eye on him too.

See you all in the morning and hope Mandy's arm is feeling better in th emorning when she wakes.

I've recorded the 5 year olds one Jane, also the doctor one. The planner in the bedroom is almost full now so anything else will have to be recorded on the lounge one till we watch a few.

I think they have a continental market in the city here Mandy. It should be interesting to go and see what's on offer. OH would be snaffling the free samples. :-S I'm going to a couple of Christmas tree festivals in December. They seem to be getting more popular now. The beading group I went to just the once is dressing a tree at one all with beaded ornaments they've made. I hope your shoulder soon improves. I wonder if this colder weather has triggered all these aches and pains a few of us are getting?

FIL has had a couple more falls and had to go to hospital the first time to be checked out. Last time he cut his head and had to have it bandaged up but the staff said he was fine and still cheerful. The trouble is he will get up himself to walk about and without his walker at times. I expect he forgets. We've heard the other residents shout to him when he gets up, so they all know he needs his walker now!! His friend Jack isn't there anymore now. He was there for respite care apparently. Anyway, he still calls in to see FIL every week which is nice. FIL's new friend is Ivy who thinks he is a gentleman. MIL would not have liked that!! lol ;-)

Jane Report 26 Nov 2015 19:44

I love a Continental Market. We haven't had one here for a couple of years now.It is always quite expensive but nice to buy a few things that you won't get here at home.
Just 2 things on tv tonight that I want to see.
Secret life of 5 year olds and I'm a Celeb' get me out of here.I will have to watch one on catch up.I think it will be the 5 year olds that I will watch. It's brilliant.
Hope the Gel works Mandy and pain killers .You want to have the shoulder as pain free as possible before you go to bed .
Just dishing up dinner .Peri Peri Chicken and Potato Wedges plus Asparagus.

Yes it was a nice surprise and as you say hubby didn't even know he was due any thing .

I have rubbed the top of my arm with the Voltarol gel ,it's fine while i keep it still but i forget myself and move it and it shots with pain :-S

I won't be going out tomorrow ,i remember last year how busy it was ,i have the family coming tomorrow for tea so i'll be busy cooking as they want a Beef Cobbler .
On sunday it's the switch on of our town christmas lights ,we don't normally go but this year they are having a continental market selling all sorts so i might have a look .

Jane

Jane Report 26 Nov 2015 19:03

Mandy that is brilliant that the payout for OH is now in the bank .Just in time for Christmas. Not that you will want to blow it all on that lol.Such a nice surpise too seeing OH didn't even know he was due anything :-D :-D

That is some saving on that blender !!!.Lots of good deals in the next few days.I can't bring myself to go shopping tomorrow .No doubt there will be scrums again like last year.I might go and have a look on Sunday.I did buy a shirt for James this morning in M&S £8 off :-)

Your shoulder sounds painful Mandy.Have you any of that Voltarol Pain Eze Gel to rub in.It is brilliant stuff.I had to laugh when Janice and Larry were here.He has a painful condition in one of his feet called Planter Faschiatis so was hobbling.Janice and her bad knee,me with my hip and Chris with his shoulder.Load of old Crocks !!!!!
How sad :-S :-S

I have a house full again for the weekend.Hannah and Jess both arrive tomorrow afternoon.

Annx Report 26 Nov 2015 19:02

Evening All,

That's a nice little bonus in time for Christmas Mandy! You will have to treat yourselves. ;-)

It's been a bit drizzly here at times today and seems colder tonight too.

Happy Thanksgiving Day Ruby. Your squash recipe does sound very nice. Yes, take care getting in and out of the bath! I can't use a bath now because of my knees but still use the shower over the bath rather than the 'proper' shower as the shower curtain is easier to bung in the washer than clean the glass of the shower cubicle. When OH has had a bath with lots of bubbles and I have a shower after it can be like a skating rink in the bottom!! :-0 Good luck with your alterations.

Same with me Anne re swapping addresses if you wish. :-)

It's good that Ros has stopped coughing Frank......the meds must be doing the trick. I have had that problem with my machine too. I found it was usually something wrong with the threading up of the machine or it needed the screw in the bobbin tightening or loosening. What a nuisance for it to happen at the time you were selling it.

I see Thomas is keeping you entertained Jane with more 'mouse' episodes!!! We wanted to see Brooklyn but we didn't get chance when it was on round here. We might get to see it at Warwick Arts though. I hope you find some cards to replace your wonky ones.

Those high winds we had have blown 3 wooden fence panels down in our neighbour's side fence. He's got new ones ready to put in. Also Virgin have arrived in the close with all their equipment to lay cables. I don't think they will extend in front of us at the end of the close as our road is private but it will be chaos getting in and out. They suggest people move their cars so they don't get blocked in, but where to? Their vehicles etc will be taking up most of the spaces on the close. :-S

The man at the hospital has just received a list of the questions I might be asked tomorrow and has sent them on to me. I'd better get my thinking cap on as there are some I hadn't thought of!!!! :-0 lol.

We had the fav carvery today which was very nice and mine was followed by a treacle sponge and custard......a nice winter pud. :-)

MillymollyAmanda Report 26 Nov 2015 18:32

We've had a little rain when i looked out just before closing the curtains i could see the ground was all wet .

Frank i see the Nutri Ninja Blender is less than half price in Argos £39-99 instead of £94-99 :-0 i suppose it's to late now if you have already bought one ,i thought it was a good saving !!

I meant to say hubby's money has gone in the bank from the B&CE :-D so it was all legit .

I must have pulled my shoulder / top of my arm some time as when i put my arm at a certain position it gives me some pain :-0 i don't feel it all the time just when i put my arm to the side to get up from the chair .

Jane

Jane Report 26 Nov 2015 15:58

Afternoon All

Enjoy your thanksgiving meal Ruby.I must say that Squash Disg sounds very tasty.

I like the sound of your bathroom.Hopefully you will manage the shower in the other one.Just don't get stuck getting over the side of that bath !!!!!! (OR FALL)

Anne please send me your address too :-) and like Mandy if you would like mine please say.

Mel you are good having done ALL YOUR CARDS ALREADY(oops capitals )
I made start just now on mine.I have done 6 LOL I opened one box only to find that the greeting in half the cards had been put in upside down :-S :-S.So if I can find the receipt I will be taking them back to TK Max.I have a feeling I bought a Xmas present at the same time so the receipt should be in an envelope with all pressie receipts .

Mandy I think that idea of yours is a good one.Thomas will certainly sniff out any mice in the garage.I thin khe may be better than putting down poison

Ruby I don't know about him being a corker .But I can certainly think of some other names for him (unprintable LOL)

Liz I see so many things these days about dogs being stolen. It seems to be getting far worse .It really is shocking.I'm sure Cas's crate will be like Fort Knox :-D

Gill I hope you find your cards .I bet if you have to buy more they will then turn up.That always happens with anything.

I am glad Ros seems to be getting better now Frank and that her cough seems to have cleared and that she hasn't passed any nastys on to you.

I am just going to finish off some ironing and get the bed ready for Hannah tomorrow.
