Afternoon All,

Another drismal day here. We had to go to the solicitors 15 miles away again today. We couldn't make head nor tail of a document they wanted us to sign to do with the house. When we got there it turned out they'd done the document wrong with our names mixed up and put in the wrong places! While we waited they redid it, but when OH checked it they'd still got 2 things wrong! :-S It was to do with transferring the title deeds, which should have been done when probate was applied for and which they'd also overlooked at the time! The house now belongs to OH and his dad, but because OH is the POA for his dad, he can't sign for his own share as well as sign for his dad's share as it wouldn't be legal, so I as an executor have to also sign for half of OH's share till the house is sold. He'd better be nice to me now hadn't he? lol. I just hope this delay getting this done (up to eight weeks) doesn't affect the sale. :-S

Mel, my parcel arrived today too and the neighbour took it in. Thank you so much and what a lovely idea and so effective and nicely made too. :-D :-D

I've emailed the Doctor from the study to see if he can get some of the photos that were taken of me and the other lady on Friday and he seems to think so and is going to ask and get them sent to him or me. He sounded very pleased with how things went on Friday.

I've been checking a few things out like insurance quotes and best deals for the car I want to get. I was going to leave things till next summer, but I found out on Saturday that they have discontinued making the car I now want and only those in stock are the ones left!! :-0 I've found the model I want and in the white colour I want at Burton-on-Trent, so will be driving there after my hair appointment to have a test drive and see it tomorrow. I'll be going on my own, not that I mind that, as OH has a meeting, but I don't know Burton-on Trent at all, so finding my way should be interesting as will driving a bigger, strange car on roads I don't know!! :-0 :-S The only thing I don't like about it is that it has a puncture repair kit rather than a spare wheel of any sort, but I may buy a cheap wheel and tyre as a spare myself. I can hear it raining outside now and just after I got my current car washed as well. :-S

It's really bedlam in the close today as the builder has had people here pulling out tree stumps on the garden land he is building on. Also the cable people have been laying cables both sides of the close with barriers up and their vehicles. When I went out they had to shift barriers back, move tools then shift their lorry for me to get out!

Good luck for tomorrow's viewing Gill, it would be the icing on the cake if it leads to a sale. It will help them love your place now you have some christmas decs about the place and your tree lit.

I hope you feel a bit better now Frank. It was sensible to leave things till you do. I must make a start on some cards myself too.

I quite liked LK many years ago, but her prog all seems about celebs nowadays which I find a bit boring.

On the perfume front, I like Burberry Body, Fidji and Chanel no 5 now, but as a teenager I liked L'aimant. I have a small squirt or dab most days and when it's hot I like a dab of Eau de Cologne. :-) I used to like the Denim aftershave that OH wore (it's not available now) and will sometimes nick a bit of his L'Homme de Nuit for myself as that has a nice fresh cologne smell!!. My dad always wore Old Spice that I wasn't keen on. I wasn't fond of the Charlie that some work colleagues wore either.

Jane hav'nt you got some Migralieve you can take when you get these fuzzy spots. If not any pain killer should help.

When I used to get them I would lay on the bed with my head hanging over the side to the floor. That always helped me. Later on I used to go numb on certain parts of the body like one or two fingers on one hand. Things also used to sound far away like you were in a dream.

Jane Report 30 Nov 2015 17:37

Just nipping in briefly now as one eye is still all fuzzy.I think I am best off not using the pooter.
I have already thanked Mel for her lovely little pressies. But will say thanks again. :-D
The pudding is great and I am sure Thomas will love his little mouse with the tinkly little bell in :-D

Poor Chris left for Northampton at 4.45 to go to the cinema. He is still only a few miles from here as ther must have been a bad accident. There is no way he will get there i time now so he rang to say he will try and turn off somewhere and just come back home.He was looking forward to the film too.

I will go now. This all feels really weird. My tongue on the side feels like it is just coming round from an injection at the dentist and my jaw aches a bit too.At least this time when I got the Zig Zag flashes in my eye it didn't scare me like it did last time.I knew what was happening today.

I was going to keep them for Christmas Mel, but Sandra was so excited and saw the labels with her name on so I thought it would be a bit cruel not to let her have them now. She loves the snowman and has it in pride of place in her room. She absolutely adores the pink flower lights and can't wait for it to go dark so she can see them better along with the lights on her Christmas tree which is now all decorated and looking lovely <3 Thanks for mine too, I will wait before saying anything about that for now, as I see not everyone has said they have theirs yet.

Sorry to hear your day hasn't got any better yet Frank, have a lay down and rest, it sounds like you need to. Have you eaten today? Maybe you could have a biscuit or something else sweet, I know you don't eat a lot of sweet things but it might help. Hope you feel better soon.

I hope they don't want to move in before Christmas Mandy, although at the moment with all the rain we've had these past few days the garden is really water logged, so I'm hoping it doesn't put them off. I wouldn't want them to think our garden floods. Once the rain stops the water drains away quite quickly so long as there isn't to much of it, then it can take a couple of days, but telling them that, I doubt they would believe me looking at it now.
Thinking about it though, it takes longer than a few weeks to go through the moving process, so if they do want our place it would be next year now, I should think.

How are things with your boiler Jane? Hope it's all sorted for you now.

LK is Lorraine Kelly Liz, she is a Scottish presenter on daytime TV, I don't watch much daytime TV anymore, apart from Christmas films with Sandra, but when I used to watch it, I wasn't keen on her.

I'm just about to start the hovering, I haven't had time so far today with helping Sandra with her tree and going to mum's, so I will get to it now :-) I also need to put the sweets in an advent calendar I made for Sandra a few years ago, she'll be looking for her first one tomorrow ;-) so I'd better get on.

See you all again later :-D

Gill I thought you would keep Sandra's pressies for Christmas!! Never mind I am pleased she liked them. When I saw the lights in the garden centre I thought of her straight away they being pink. I know she likes pink....... :-D

Sandra and Lacey had two different things. It's the others for the girls that are the same.

Cassie had a dog toy.

FRANK sit for a while and calm down. You have done enough for today so relax and get yourself back into gear. Hope you feel better later on. Get yourself 40 winks and you may feel better when you wake.

Afternoon all .

My parcel has arrived too :-D Mel you are so clever thank you so much ,little Lacey will love hers too .
I see Gill has hers so will wait until the others say if they have theirs before i say anymore ;-) :-D

Well the wind is a bit rough today and the rain is beating down ,we have the lights on as it's so dark !!

Gill i hope the viewing goes well tomorrow ,what if they want a quick sale and want to be in before christmas and you've just put all your tree up :-0
I bet Sandra will be happy to get her little tree up in her room

Now Now Frank don't be so grumpy :-D i must admit some things on the tele get on my nerves ,hubby like the news on first thing in the morning , i don't mind but when they keep repeating it over and over it gets to much.
Perhaps the little Scottie dog doesn't get many treats so that's why he snapped at your fingers .

Hope Jane gets all her leaks sorted out today , i bet Thomas is in the warm and dry on a day like this !!

I must apologies for writing of the Christmas Cards. I thought I would be clever and write them while Ros was out. Unfortunately I didn't take into account how I was feeling after bringing all those boxes in from the garage. I have the shakes from all that exertion, in fact I am having trouble typing this.

Speak later.

I've emailed you Mel.
Who is L.K?!! We never watch daytime TV, so maybe it's just on when we don't watch! Andy Murray is the toast of the town!! Winning the Davis Cup for GB after 70+ years is cause for celebration!! Well done the team, particularly Andy. :-D
We collected our new log burner this morning, and it is smart!! We can't fit it for a day or two as the stainless hasn't arrived yet.
Very windy here, so we're glad to be back. OH has to go for a blood test tomorrow, then we both have the Dentist on Friday!!
No decs yet!! not awfully sure where they are!! We will only put up the tree this year, probably about the 20th, and maybe be some holly and other greenery if we can find it out and about. I don't like too much as it clutters the place up now our house is so much smaller.

Gillx Report 30 Nov 2015 13:41

The parcel's arrived Mel, how clever you are ;-) ;-) Won't say anymore just yet until everyone else has theirs. Sandra is made up with all the things you sent her and says THANK YOU, she was so excited. I had just got a bowl of soup and a sandwich when the parcel arrived, needless to say Sandra had me opening it before I ate my lunch, luckily the soup was still warm. She loves the lights, it's just what she was asking me for the other day, I've wrapped them around a spiral candle holder she has in her room and her smile is so big now :-D :-D The colour on her necklace changed to blue, which said she was very happy.....how true that is ;-) so can you say thank you to your chickens please lol. We've finished her Christmas tree in her room which is switched on, so all the lights look lovely in there now. The hand made item you gave her is in her room too, you know what I mean lol. Say no more lol.

Yes you're right Frank, if the picture was already my place I would never move from there ;-) ;-) <3 I can but dream though. Be careful in the wind and rain we don't want you to have any accidents <3

Going to get the hovering done, I'm off to mum's shortly.

I have started bringing in all the boxes of decorations, three more to come in Two of which are the Christmas Tree. Artificial that we have had for years and years. It all slots into the main TRUNK. It cost a small fortune, but the years we have had it, it works out very cheap per year, and will go on for many years to come !!!

Mel, I received your card this morning THANKS xxx. I still have mine to do, but have sent my overseas ones except Ruby's. I must pm her and get it.

Ros had an appointment to have her feet done at 1.00 pm So she is out.

That Wind has been very strong for the pass two days, this morning while opening the conservatory door, the wind was blowing over a vase of artificial flowers on the table. They look a right old mess now,!!!!! I keep standing them up, but over they go again. I can't move them as there is a set of lights attached to them, which she turns on at this time of year. She will be a HAPPY BUNNY when she sees them ;-) ;-) ;-)

Good luck with tomorrows viewing Gill. I am sure if that was your bungalow in your avatar, you wouldn't be thinking of moving ;-) ;-) ;-)

Time to face the wind and rain again, to get the rest of the boxes in.

Morning all

Raining quite hard here today but hardly any wind, thank goodness, it was pretty windy here all day yesterday and not very nice at all.

Hello GRUMPY FRANK :-D :-D We all have our off days, hopefully yours will improve before the days out. You'll have to teach the naughty dog to be nice if he wants anymore treats off you. Maybe he was just excited if he's never seen you before. I'm sure he'll calm down when he gets to know you a bit better. Pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep. I thought you would with five pints inside you ;-) ;-) ;-) I'm not keen on LK either, so you're not on your own there Frank :-)

I didn't get time yesterday to write out my Christmas cards so I'm hoping to do them today. We have a snow Christmas tree that's just been put up so you can imagine the mess everywhere. So today's job HOOVERING lol. We have the viewing with the Japanese people tomorrow so I had to run the hoover around anyway, but the snow seems to have got everywhere so it'll probably take a bit longer than usual today.

Sandra and I are putting a small fibre optic tree into her bedroom today so she can decorate it. She had it in her room last year and loved it, so wanted to have it there again. I know what you mean Frank when putting up decorations and the trees, you have to move a few things around, we had to do the same here, but luckily only one small cupboard and a few ornaments. It does cheer you up though seeing all the Christmas lights everywhere, gets you in the mood for the big day :-D :-D <3 <3

I wish my avatar was my home David, isn't it lovely? It's more like my dream. I found it on the internet when I was looking for a property down south <3

I was watching my trees blowing in the wind yesterday Mel and was convinced one of them was going to be blown over, luckily it stayed put, but it was a bit scary there for a while.

Sandra's finally awake so I'll make a start on todays jobs now........a woman's work and all that ;-) ;-)
See you later <3

Morning all and evening Kim,

Another dull old day here with wind and rain as usual but the wind is not as high as it was yesterday. I have never seen the big tree in the garden move so much. Perhaps because it is usually windy at night or I have just forgotten...........

I have been asked by Ruby for your addresses so if you wish her to have them can you please send your address to her by pm. Thank you. She said she has Jane's and mine so it is up to you if you send her yours.

Frank

Frank Report 30 Nov 2015 09:14

Morning from another Early bird, Evening Kim,

Yes Gill I slept like a log last night. and didn't wake until after 8.00 this morning.

Ros has the Bloody T.V. on. That Scottish woman who I can never understand L.K. and on comes that Andy bloke doing the GIVE AWAY. I can't stand him. So I am having a iffy, and came out of the way.

I see we have rain here this morning, just what I need, it will fit in well with my mood. !!! There's some silly arses singing Happy Birthday to her now. I think I will go back to bed :-( :-( :-( (grumpy old bugger this morning).

I bet I will be asked to bring in all the box's of Christmas tree, and decorations in later this morning, so she can start putting the tree up. It will be great FUN (NOT) !!! Moving furniture and packing away things that we won't need out.

How's my little Thomas this morning Jane.

Must tell you, there were three dogs down the pub yesterday, My nice LAB cross, a timid Jack Russell, and a Scottie (he was a little B) I offered him a chew stick and he almost took my fingers off, where as the others were so careful and took the treats very nicely. Needless to say HE never got anymore. :-D :-D :-D

Hope you all have a good day.
