If you look out of a window in your dream and just see white snow and a black sky you could be dreaming in black and white or colour David, but would you know? :-)

<3 <3MERRY CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON EVERYONE <3 <3

It was rather nice this year to not be woken by MIL ringing first thing, so we had a nice cosy lie in whilst opening our pressies.

I had to open the back door I was so hot this morning Jane. We are both full of Christmas Lunch now, the Turkey was lovely and the parsnips and roast potatoes lovely and crunchy. At the last minute I found some alocohol free wine that tastes quite nice so I slurped some of that whilst getting lunch this morning. I spent last night and this morning looking for the Matt cartoon book I always get OH!! Goodness knows where I put it. :-| OH loved the footie game, but his fingers are a bit big for his boots!! lol I was dancing in mine but OH said my legs were too close together!!! I asked him what he expected from a well brought up young lady!! We watched the Queen but didn't think her speech was that special this time.

Sorry to hear your eye has been troublesome William, but it's good it is improving.

I hope you soon feel a bit better Gill. I've been ill at Christmas before and it does take the shine off things. I hope you can get another early night tonight and have managed to get plenty of help today.

I noticed the moon here Mel, but it looked a bit misty here. No I didn't get any decorations down this year but the white twigs will be in place next year. :-) I was saying to OH that I want to collect straight wooden branch lengths during the year and tie them together like a tapering ladder to make a tree to hang on the wall above the fireplace and decorate that. It would be something different.

I had a most odd dream last night! I was at a craft/food fair thing that was outside in the evening. It was quite dark but the ground was covered in snow and a dog was barking at two cats that were between a few tall trees. One of the cats was gingery and quite big and was hissing and spitting as people had started throwing things at it. When I got closer it turned out to be a beautiful Lynx and then I woke up!

I think I'll get the board out to do my jigsaw next and sort out what to watch and what to record on the telly.

It's raining and miserable here now so I'm glad to be inside and warm.

Just having a bit of a breather here.Phew it gets so hot in the kitchen.
All our presents have been opened now and we have all done very well :-D :-D :-D

Oh Gill I am sorry you are still not feeling so well.I'm sure your OH and Sandra will be helping you out today so you don't need to do too much.

Mel I saw the full moon..Thomas was like something demented last night and I'm sure it must have been to do with the moon.He was up all over the furniture and on the window sills in the night.Knocked over a few things too :-S.I am just glad it wasn't all the glasses set out on the dining table.I ended up letting him out at 3.30am.

So the Turkey is cooked, stuffing ,sausages in ,then it will be the roast potatoes and then the veg to do.So all is under control (so far ).I have had a couple of glasses of Prosseco so am nice and chilled out :-D

Merry Christmas to you all .Have a Wonderful time . <3 <3 <3

Its wet wet wet this morning and dull and they said on the weather forcast it was going to be 13 degrees down here.

I forgot to say yesterday we had a hailstone shower for quite a while it absolutely fell out the sky and was blown by the wind. Just after the sun came out again and there was a huge rianbow over the garden.

Happy Christmas everyone!! OH has just bought a,COT in bed and we are listening to the radio.
Afraid we didn't stay up for the Midnight, it's just too late for us these days, and we were in bed by 10pm, and asleep by 11 in spite of the mistletoe!!!!
Off to daughters today, so must make sure we have done our jobs, grab the presents and as they say, sally forth!!

Hi folks,
Sorry I'm late with my Christmas message but I hope that each and everyone of you has a wonderful time and the very best of health and happiness for 2016.

So many times lately I've been going to get on here and leave you a message of some length but it has been one hectic week, commencing on me spending too many hours at Coventry Uni hospital eye department. However, the problem is resolving itself now, thanks to the staff there.

I'll try and write more over the next few days.

We always went to midnight mass too Jane years ago, particularly when my mother was alive, she wouldn't have missed it, but the she was a church goer as was my Granny. I'm afraid I have fallen a bit by the wayside over the years, but I do love the carols, and try to make a bit of an effort now and again!!!!!
Have you seen Goodnight Mister Tom'?. We watched it (again) yesterday, it is such a tear jerker, so what with that and the baby penguin, I felt quite wrung out!!!!
Well, the dishwasher has washed, the dogs asleep, and we're watching a film!

Oh Liz we missed Kings College :-( That must be a first .It is always so moving.I always need a pile of tissues at hand.
When I was young we always went to the Midnight Service at Church. All the villagers would walk down to the Church with candles in Jam Jars.I wonder if they still do that?
It was a fair walk down the big hill and then up the hill to the Church on the cliff.
I also remember Carol singing with candles in Jam Jars and ending up at Wembury House .Sir Henry Studholme lived there and welcomed us all in for Mince Pies and Mulled Wine (Mulled Wine for the adults) I think us youngsters probably had Squash.
Those were the days :-D
I miss the midnight service now.Just too tired to go at that time of night .But there was always something special about it .

Chris is now playing Carols from Winchester Catherdal :-D
