I was asleep by about 10pm last night, didn't come to life again until. 4.15

Must have been quiet or I'm deef. Usually fireworks sound off for a few hours.

Tomorrow we will writing 2016 when we sign and date. I remember at work how there would be a few mistakes in dates for a while!! I remember when we all worked on New Year's Day.......it was treated as an ordinary day.

Well the films not very good so we're off to bed .

Just finished some baking, I've made sausage rolls and quiches, I was suppose to do them for Christmas but fell ill so thought I'd do them for tonight.

We got caught up in really bad rain earlier, we'd just walked out of the door to go to the car when the heavens opened, I wouldn't mind but it was dry all morning, typical the minute you want to go out the good weather changes to bad.

I've decided to sort out all the clothes I've been meaning to alter, I have quite a lot, so that's my sewing machine working over time for the next few weeks LOL, then I'm going to try and learn how to make some clothes from scratch. I've only ever made a pencil skirt so lots to learn. The book OH got me for Christmas will hopefully be a great help and there's always YOU TUBE tutorials ;-) ;-)

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down Anne, we're all hear for you should you need us. It's the time of year we all miss our loved ones and it's never easy.

I've just noticed the emails you've sent me Mel, so I'll take a look at them when I've sent this post. It sounds like you've had really bad weather down there, hope you don't end up flooded out like some of the country is. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything is ok for you.

What a shame your sister's Christmas card hasn't arrived Ann, it sounds like it's a wonderful one with lights too. Maybe it's just been delayed and it will still arrive. I've only just received a Christmas present that was posted before Christmas so don't give up hope.
I've recorded the Hedgehog programme so Sandra and I will probably watch it tomorrow afternoon when OH is in work.

Pleased to hear you have worked out how to order your pills online Liz, it looks like you, me and Jane have had problems trying to work out websites. Like I said earlier they don't make it easy. At least it was explained to you, so you know what to do next time :-)

OH was given a bottle of champagne off a workmate for his birthday and has decided to open it for us all tonight, so I'm going to get a glass before it's all gone. I'll try and get back on here later.

It's been a nice sunny day here ,bit chilly but dry until we got home from the panto now its raining quite hard .
We all enjoyed the panto :-D lots of singing and getting wet from a water pistol that the Dame had :-D it was the first time that Lacey had seen a panto she was clapping away and doing all the actions bless her .

Oh Gill that's good you now have the sewing machine ,there will be no stopping you now ,what will you make first ?
Sandra will want you to make some things for her too i expect .

I think this time of year is very hard when you've lost some one you love ,we all think of those that are no longer with us and it does brings a tear to the eye ,so sending you a big hug Ann <3

I don't think we will stay up to see the new year in ,we usually nod off , i expect the fire works going off will wake us up that's if it's not to wet to light them .

Well I am all dressed up and showered and shaved. I have just told the others to get their ar#e into gear as it's after 5.00 pm.

Mel we have had the hailstones, thunder and pouring rain. I think it has stopped now. I certainly hope so as we will be leaving at 5.45 pm. It might be we will have to take two cars if it is raining.

I've been up and down those B ### stairs three times this evening, I am now about shattered.

The underfloor heating is on as well as the Gas Fire in the lounge. Far to hot for me. thats why I am in the kitchen with the window open. (HOT FLUSH) LOL

Anne, It must be difficult for you, at anytime let alone Christmas. One thing to remember, we are all here to listen when you are up or DOWN. The next few weeks are never a happy time for me after 58 years. There are things so imbedded in the brain that you can never forget. Not that I want to. My kindest thoughts are with each and every one of you, who are feeling low at this time of year.

Conrad seems to have caught a chill, and is dosing himself up with "LEMSIPS" I only hope he keeps it to himself. :-( :-( :-(

I am just having a beer to wish all of you "MY FRIENDS" Cheers, for the NEW YEAR.

I doubt I will be back later, BUT WHO KNOWS.

Jane I only posted that yesterday when the postman called I GAVE IT TO HIM. Sorry..
Tell chris they are good I cooked all the sausage rolls on one and they did'nt stick at all but be carefull how you wash it, I just rub them over on the work surface with the washing up sponge and rinse them and let them dry.

The wind was howling when I shut the girls in tonight and it is bitterly cold and nearly cuts you to the bone. I was glad to get back indoors and made some tea and we had macaroons and choc yule log with it to warm us up.

Remembering parents, my Father Samuel 1918 - 1990 wasn't a big man for to be

be so strong. He stood 5 foot seven inches with a 38/40 chest but he was wiry and strong. He lost half the fingers of his L hand in an accident at work. He had fingers like bananas and a fist like Popeye. But such a gentleman.(until roused)
His colouring was auburn, he turned grey then turned white. Never lost his weather beaten tan born from working outdoors in all weathers.

Tipping down again, and the wind is howling!! Think we shall.have an early night!!!

It is absolutely chucking it down here now.It came out of the blue just a minute ago.Thomas went out and shot straight back in LOL

Hannah will be celebrating New Year in 30 minutes !!!!!!.7 hours ahead of us.James and Jess too will be celebrating an hour ahead of us.So we will be last to see the New Year in.

MEL....Chris says thankyou very much for your gift :-D..He thinks he has lost that recipe now for that particular sticky bread ,but will be trying it out on something else :-D

It's been tipping down here with the sky as black as the ace of spades!! It's a bit brighter now and the wind's dropped, but the ground is just saturated!
