Afternoon all
Lovely sunshine here now ,no frost this morning but it was quite foggy and at one time we had the sun shining through the low fog it was quite strange .
Nice assortment of photo's Mel ,my goodness what a big pool you had to keep the fish in while their home was being sorted . I love all the drawings ,i didn't know you could draw like that they are so good . All the little pom pom folk are so cute too.
Nice photo's from Liz too with the clear sky and the plane soaring over ,i often look at the planes going over and wonder where they are going or coming from .
Frank i would have come and scrubbed your back i've got a long handled scrubbing brush that i scrub my step with :-0 :-D Where did you get your long handled scrunchy brush from ? son was saying the other he could do with one of those . Fancy the neighbour hanging washing out again !! i should think it was freezing on the line as she was pegging it out !!
Ann i can see people dumping more rubbish on the road side if they are starting to charge to dump , i wonder if it's some thing that all tips will start doing , at our tip if say your changing your bathroom suite they will only let you drop off one bit at a time ,so you'd have to take the bath one week and the basin the next and so on ,rubble we can only take one or two tubs at a time ,but you could dump a whole three piece !! doesn't make sense really with taking one bit at a time as they will get it all in the end !!
We have ordered a new dish washer as the old one hasn't been washing properly ,i put it on a wash with nothing in so i could see if the water was going in and the water was stone cold so i think the heater has gone ,we have had it a few years , it should be here next Monday . We're also waiting for our new oak sideboard to come i had an email to say it had been dispatched so just got to wait to see which day that will be here .
You have been busy Gill ,sounds as if your all sorted now , there are some nice little sheds you can get now and those big storage boxes for outside are good too ,son had one to store the childrens out door toys and things in.
Have you been vrooooooming around in your car Jane ,i'd like to see a photo of it .

Bright sunshine here now. <3 <3 Looks almost warm enough to sit on the patio. But I don't think I will bother.
All showered on my own. My long handled scrunch reaches down my back, so I managed allright.
Just had Beans on Toast, I just fancied it. I bet Ros will bring something in for lunch from Tesco. Typical !!!
You and your oh have some good laughts together Ann, If I put something like that round my neck, I don't think it would go down well <3 <3 <3.
I will be out tonight. There is the Television Awards on at 7.30 pm So I will be down the pub for the football. I willcome home when it is finished.
Mel, These Ice things do look pretty, and you wonder how the can freeze it these postions.
There is slight movements on the washing next door. I bet those sheets will be filthy and need washing again !!!
Have you noticed how loud the MUSIC (Noise) is getting on a lot of programmes. Last night "SAVED" was spoilt by it. As is a lot of programmes. MOAN :-P :-P :-P

O forgot to say thanks to Jane for the picture of her car but I do wish they would come out round the right way!
Are we POASH or not? We have an ice sulpture in the garden today. The tray with water in it that the pigeons like to bath in has frozen solid but just one bit has gone up in the air and it looks like an iceberg or a duck!!!! I have taken a pic but oh has just downloaded my camera so I can't ask him to do it again as it took him yonks to find out how to do it on this new pc.

No offers here Frank my arms ar'nt long enough to reach, sorry.
Ann you should hang the sign on your back so when he walks in he will read it unless he is facing you when he comes in the room. I have bought some of the alphabet beads to make a key ring for my SIL. They were little square ones. It could just be a p[lain bead necklace with the words and a couple of beads inbetween. It would certainly make him laugh and you could make it while he is at one of his meetings or football.

Morning all
Bright sunshine here today and no frost. Typical, now all the work outside is finished :-( OH is taking the last load of rubbish down the tip in the morning and then we'll take our freezer to mum's. I can't believe how much space there is in the garage now. I need to start looking for a shed to put what is left, in. It's mainly gardening stuff, tools, lawn mower etc... plus a few of OH's tools.
I'd just about finished yesterday when the Estate Agent rang with a viewing for Friday, so I'm going to be busy in the bungalow catching up with all the housework. I've fallen behind with being outside every day, so now I have so much to do, it'll take me the next two days to get straight again.
I've had to put my sewing machine away for the time being Frank, it does sound like Ros is busy though. I want to start altering the pile of clothes I have when I get some free time.
So you've got your new car now Jane, is it better than the last one you had?
It shouldn't be to long now Ann, before the deeds are sorted then FIL's house sale can go through smoothly. Maybe you could give the solicitor a call to see how much longer it's going to be, it must be costing you a fortune to cover the costs of the care home bills.
Well, I'd better get on with the housework See you all later

Morning my lovelies and Will and David, Evening Kim.
Not quite as cold here this morning, but still "BRASS MONKEY" as far as I am concerned
The neighbour put out a load of washing yesterday, and it's still there this morning. The sheets are dragging on the lawn and as you would expect FROZEN SOLID !!!
Jane are you able to garage your new car, or I you like most of us, and have to leave them out because the garage is full of everything else ???
The stew was very nice last night, and there's enough for tonight also. I will add a few more bits and make new dough boys. It's far to good to just throw it away.
I had loads of equipment when I had my stroke. Chair raisers, Back rest for the bed, the toilet extention etc. Thankfully theywere all returned within 6 months.
I see the list in the kitchen is getting bigger, so Madam will no doubt pop out later and get them. I tend to add items, as i get low on things, that way we don't run out.I must add Bisto and Bread. !!!
Airport Parking all booked this morning, and an email has gone off regarding ASSISTANCE.
I expect the sewing machine will be working overtime again today. She says she has so much to catch up on.
Shower time. I need a back washer, ANY OFFERS ??

Morning All,
A dreary morning here, but no frost. The washer is on as it's supposed to be sunny later......doesn't look like it at the moment!
Yes, he made it for me Mel.......just shows he knows what he is like doesn't it. I keep it in the drawer next to me in here. You've given me an idea now........ I might just do necklace like that, you can get alphabet beads. It would certainly make him chuckle........that's if I could get to make it without him interrupting and seeing it before it's completed!;-) He's gone to check his mum's house and then to a council meeting near there this morning. I'm to ring him if the fav carvery is on and as his meeting will not end till lunchtime I shall drive there in my car to meet him to save time.
We had a bit of a shock when we read a leaflet that came with our bin collection yesterday. It was about taking stuff to the tip. From April if we want to take any tins of paint there we will have to get a permit first! Also, if we take any bags of rubble it will cost £3 a bag to take it there, similarly if we take an old sink, bath or toilet it will cost £3 each item.:-0 :-0 I think all that will do is increase fly tipping and people putting things in the street litter bins. :-S I know councils are strapped for cash with the cuts, but I prefer them to stop wasting so much money!! They built a park and ride down the road from here a few years ago that they destroyed lovely fields and trees to build and that we said at the time wouldn't be used. It's made losses every year to the point that they rented out part of it to a local business in the end and guess what........they are having to close it now!!!
Better get showered and hair washed now........time is ticking fast!
Edit, just saw your post Mel, fancy you having all that frost and sun!! You better shift those bunnies.....they will be hungry and up to no good!

Hope you can all hear me from a very frozen Devon. Everywhere is white with frost this morning and its still here and the suns out. I thought we had two silver cars but this morning they are white.
Bunnies are running around up the top and in my border, big bunnies.
I must go out and feed the birds.

Jane has a Dacia Duster I think........it looks very big!
It's been BLISS today Mel!! :-D When he first retired he was always asking about the next meal.......why I don't know because when he worked he'd often work all day without even a break for food!! He's stopped asking about food now and will get himself something if he wants a snack and to be fair he gets me more drinks than I get him. But as for interruptions!!!! I just lose the will to do any crafts, sewing or paperwork while he's around and he puts me all behind with any chores when I like to get them done quickly out of the way. Mind you when you see some couples in restaurants they hardly speak to each other so I suppose I'm lucky he wants to talk to me and he does make me laugh. :-) I must use the 'Do Not Disturb' notice he made me more often! lol.
I want to see that film too Jane but I don't think OH is keen so I might go on my own.
My car still has the ciggy lighter Mandy. I found the ashtray the other day. You could remove the ashtray altogether in a Renault I had 10 years ago. Apart from liking the extra clock this car has, so you have a clock even when the engine is switched off, I also like the way the temperature just flashes when it reaches 3 degrees. My last car used to beep very loudly several times at 3 degrees as well as flash which would scare me to death when it happened. What I do miss from my last car is the extra lights that would automatically come on to light up the kerbs clearly when you went around bends at night. The higher spec versions of my car have them on.
I'm not particularly looking for furniture Frank, but you never know what might catch my eye! We need a few bits and bobs so I was looking at the new things they have had in. I had to take my coat off as I was sweltering in there and beginning to feel ill. When I moved the car to go and look at the other shops I left my coat in the boot and just had my cardi on to walk to the shops and around them.

Yes Frank back from shopping and its all put away and I did'nt forget his cider or my port which they had this week so I bought two bottles incase there is'nt any next week. I don't think I forgot anything but only time will tell during the week when I want something I hav'nt got! :-0
So did you get a good try out of your new car in the end Jane? Are you pleased with it so far? You still hav'nt told us what colour it is and I have even forgotten what make it is!! I can't seem to remember anything lately. I even have to think about dinner because I can't remember what we had the night before sometimes.
We've got ready meals tonight, oh has a curry with onion thingies and pacoras and nann bread and I have a beef stew and dumplings.
Like the picture of your mum David. I think you have had that on here before.
Ann nice to have a day without interuptions is'nt it. I hope this year the weather will be better and oh will go fishing again. He did'nt go at all last year. It's nice to just muddle along and not have to worry about feeding them or getting cups of coffee when you are trying to get on with something else.

Hi all, The sunset/sky here is picture perfect. If it wasn't so cold I would go out and take a photo.
I have just booked the flights to go and see Conrad 1st June to 15th June. Returns from Luton to Murcia including Insurance for under £300.00. So I am pleased with that.
The sewing machine has been going all day, I think it's the THIRD one today
The Stew has been ticking away since 12.30 this morning, I am in and out ever 15/20 minutes to give it a stir. It smells wonderful. Dough boys all made and ready to go in about 5.30. Dishes all ready, together with some nice bread rolls. I like a bit of butter on mine, whereas Ros dosen't.
Sounds like your car is O.K. Jane. WHAT IS IT.?? I won't ask again ;-) ;-) ;-)
How did the Donkey shop go Mel, did you get all you needed ?? I bet you make a list, as is you forget anything, it's a long way to go back. Hope you remembered his CIDER. !!
What did you find in IKEA Ann, anything nice. ?? I didn't know you were looking for furniture.
I had a few ZZZZ this afternoon, I just couldn't stay awake. I hope I can sleep tonight.
Off to give the stew another stir. See you later.

Afternoon All Well I have the car now :-D.I seemed to be at the garage for ages this morning sorting paperwork ,going through all the controls etc.I went straight to the nearest petrol station to fill it up ,and this man came up to me and said he loved the look of my car.He asked me what I thought about it and I said I had only had it for literally 5 minutes LOL Took Chris for a spin when I got home.He thinks it seems fine even if very high! I was going to go to Tesco but Fitz turned up for a look.Chris was going out for lunch so I asked Fitz to stay to share some Ham and Pea Soup with me. So my day has just whizzed by and I see it is almost 5pm !!!!!!!! We have the clearest sky here and it is absolutely freezing.Have just defrosted the bird bath again and topped up the window feeder ..I am not going to step outside again tonight :-D
Got a letter today to say I have my MRI Scan on my head next wednesday at 9.15am Hopefully it will be on time as Chris and I are going to Northampton at lunch time to see the film The Danish Girl.
I haven't yet gone through todays posts .

Morning All :-D,
I was up early this morning to be at the hairdressers at 9.00am and of course the car needed deicing after that sharp frost. Typical as well, just as I was about to go a big van reversed down to deliver something to the bungalow opposite and blocked the drive and road. The driver shouted he'd only be a minute. Why do they say that and then take 10 minutes! :-S Anyway, the hairdresser has tried blunt cutting some of my hair to get rid of the 'Marcel wave' and put a straightening product on it this time. She was saying that the owner is opening a new salon in the city, a 'one stop' place with hairdressing, nail bar and beauty salon combined. Considering he started with nothing, he's done well as this will be his 6th salon!!
I've seen notices for Messy Church activity around here Fiona and wondered what they were about. It sounds like a good idea and good fun. I thought your snow would be lasting a lot longer than a couple of days.
I thought my knee would be playing up after all that pumping yesterday but it is fine so I think I shall nip up the motorway to IKEA and have a browse and some lunch while I am there! OH has gone to his meeting in Lincoln and won't be back till after 7.00pm so I have a nice day free of fitting into his agenda! lol.
David, you'll have a lot more space once those things all go back. It must be good to realise you don't need them anymore. :-)
Frank, you and Ros certainly keep busy. I bet the little dog was pleased to find you had some treats!!
Anne I met an old schoolfriend from junior school on FU and it was interesting reading about the lives of some of my other schoolmates since school days.
Mel, Shopping AGAIN!! It's good your OH is a little better but I bet he's hating not being able to do much at the moment.

Yes Mel, Every 2 months we have messy Church in the coffee centre Halls & all children are invited to take part, children must come with at least 1 adult & it doesn't matter if you are a member of our church or not the more the merrier. after our morning activities there is a short children s bible story and prayers in the church itself this is led by our minister Joanne ,and while that is going on one of the halls is laid out with a light lunch, usually soup and bread followed by fruit, It's great way to encourage mum's & dad or grans to come with the children. and share time together as a family.

Morning all, Evening Kim,
What a frost we had last night. When we came out of the pub 9.45 pm the car was frozen inside and out. Tony didn't use the newspaper, he had to put the BLOWER on and he had a tin of de-icer.
Nice morning here, clear sky's, Haven't been out so don't know if it's still cold.
Ros has decided to make some more children's bed covers. The machine is working away. She hasn't done any since before Christmas.
The match wasn't a great one, but the beer was nice <3 <3. My little dog "BESS" had missed me and her treats. She jumped up me, and rolled on her back for a belly rub. I remembered her treats, and have added them to the shopping list, as I have run out.
Busy little girl then Fiona, How many children will be there to see your hard work. ??
Anne, It was through FRIENDS that I found my old school pals, who I am in touch with on a regular basis trough emails and FB. One I hadn't seen or heard of for over 60 years.
Ann, I hope you get the contracts sorted soon on FIL house. It must be a constant worry not knowing if everything is safe in this weather.
I bet Jane is FLYING around Kettering in her new PAM PAM (New car) Hope she is being carefull
