Washing and bleaching those blinds sounds quite a job Gill !!!!!!..I wouldn't fancy doing all that :-S
Mandy I may very well be up to see the planets as I will no doubt be up before that to deal with Thomas. It would be lovely to see. Hopefully we won't get the fog.My Sister down in Tewkesbury says it has been a real Pea Souper down there today.
Mandy ,not good having a dishwasher not working. It will be great to get your new one. Ours has been in now for many years and touch wood still working ok.I have to say I would be lost without one now.I do remember saying to Chris years ago that we didn't really need one .But once we had one installed I realised how great they are :-D Gill they do Slim line ones and I think also work top ones.
Mel I think it is just a faulty Boot catch. It is just not clicking in right.
Love the sound of Childrens Messy Church Play Fiona...I woudn't fancy cleaning up afterwards though LOL
David we often rinse mugs out during the day but then they all end up in the dishwasher at the end of the evening.
I have tried chucking Thomas out for the last hour or so.I put him out the patio door ,but then when I open the back door he is in like a shot.Don't think he wants to be out, which is not a good sign as it means I will be woken by him at some unearthly hour in the morning .I can see me in the spare bed tonight so not to have Chris disturbed. He hates to hear that Miaow in the middle of the night. The air is a bit blue when tha happensLOL
Ann I think that is bad charging to take certain things to the tip.I agree with you that it may very well increase the amount of fly tipping :-S :-S..I must say though I haven't seen the kind of fly tipping I used to see a few years ago. There used to be certain places where there would be old settees ,mattresses ,tv's etc.But over the last several years I have seen nothing.Same with burnt out stolen cars.I never see those now either.
Our dinner is ready now so better dish up.

I have done that and no wine as you say but have put a bit of Rosemary in it. I did'nt bother with the lemon but I think last time I put the zest grated finely on my vicous grater in it.
Just got some broccoli on as well.

Mel i do this one , i add Tomatoes , leave out the wine and don't have so many potatoes or sausages as there's only the two of us .
2 tbsp olive oil 2 large onions, sliced lengthways into wedges 2 red peppers, deseeded and cut into large dice 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 tbsp chopped thyme leaves 500g (1lb 2oz) baby new potatoes, unpeeled and halved 12 sausages, pricked with a fork 200ml (7fl oz) white wine salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. 2 Place all the ingredients except the wine in a large, resealable freezer bag. Seal the bag shut and shake well to coat everything in the oil. Alternatively, put everything in a large bowl and turn the ingredients until they are fully coated in the oil. Tip into a large roasting tin, spreading the ingredients out into one even layer and ensuring that the sausages aren’t covered by any of the vegetables. Season well with salt and pepper. 3 Roast for 30-35 minutes until golden, then remove from the oven, turn the sausages over and toss the vegetables in the cooking juices. Pour in the wine and return to the oven for a further 20 minutes or until browned and the sausages are cooked and the potatoes tender. Serve hot with a dollop of mustard on the side.

Thanks Mel just what he wants i'll pass the link on might even have one myself .
Oh no Jane i bet you are pee'ed off ,i'am sure once they link it up to the computer it will tell them the problem ,hope they soon get it sorted out for you .
You'll have to wake up early to catch it but Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will appear together in the night sky It's been more than a decade since the five planets have aligned. They will line up diagonally from the Moon to the horizon, and should all be visible from Britain. The best time to see the amazing alignment will be at 6.45 in the morning, just before the sun comes up.

Oh no Jane, not more problems, hope they can sort the problem out for you :-)
Messy Church sounds like a brilliant idea Fiona, I bet the children love it.
Did you have problems with the pond filters Mel, with your OH working on them. Hope they are sorted now. I loved the pictures of your paintings, I didn't know you were so talented, I wish I could paint like that.
The new salon sound great Ann, with everything under one roof. Will you be going there? Glad to hear your knee is okay. Did you find anything nice in Ikea? I tend to get more done when my OH isn't around. I did laugh at the do not disturb notice you mentioned, that your OH made you, I could do with one of them LOL. My OH doesn't have any problems at the tip as he used to work there years ago and knows the people who run it.
Were the dogs pleased to see you Frank? I bet they wondered where you were with going away.
That's a nice picture of your mum David
So you've ordered a new dishwasher Mandy? I don't have one so have to do all the dishes by hand. Mind you most of the time it's only Sandra and I, so not a lot to clean up. I couldn't have a dishwasher even if I wanted one as my kitchen is far to small, so I don't have anywhere to put one :-( :-(
It looks like I might have to buy a bigger shed than I first thought, I forgot about the wheel barrow and it's quite a big one, so with everything else I need to store the little shed I had in mind won't be big enough. I'm going to have to take a few plants out of the border behind the greenhouse and extend the patio area first to make the space needed to accommodate it, so that'll keep me busy soon ;-) Mind you if the lady who is viewing this place on Friday wants our bungalow I won't have to do anything. Most of the stuff in the garage has been packed and put up in the loft so at least we won't have to pack that if we move. So either way we'll be pleased.
Going to put the rice on now to go with the chilly I made earlier, that just needs heating up. Sandra and I still haven't watched Eastenders yet, so we might have to watch it tomorrow now. See you all later

I wonder if its the cold weather not agreeing with the new car Jane. All these computerized things don't like the cold. I wonder if it happens when they try it in the garage? Do they give it a little drive and open the boot and drive off again or just put it on the reader?

Afternoon All from a very pee'ed off me.I am jinxed when it comes to new cars. The car itself is lovely and much easier to drive than I had expected.I even did some good parking inbetween 2 cars at Tesco car park. But then after I put the shopping in the boot and set off the warning light for door open came on and was beeping. It was the boot. Now when I picked the car up yesterday that happened but they took it off to the workshop and sorted it........Oh no they didn't. I came home from Tesco and rang the garage and then took the car back in.Sat in the waiting room for an age and then was told eveything was ok .Off I drive to Asda just along the road.Just as I got onto Northfields Ave the lightand beeper came on AGAIN..I got the fire lighters which is all I was going for and then it was back to the garage :-S :-S.. So I have left the car there and they gave me a lift home..Fingers crossed all will be sorted properly tomorrow. It should be something fairly simple to sort .BUT it is a brand new car !!!!!.I have done the grand total now of 31 miles. So needless to say I am feeling somewhat cheesed off this evening.
I haven't even had chance to read through todays posts yet.But have seen all your lovely pics Mel...They are great. You really should take up painting again as there are some fantastic paintings there.
Liz what a wonderful view that was from your window !!!!
All the shopping I did today is still sitting in bags so I better go and put things away James will be coming back home tonight after his month of house sitting. He will just go back tomorrow after work to put clean bedding back on and make sure everything is clean and tidy before his friends get home from New Zealand. I doubt he is looking forward coming back to Mum and Dad LOL...I could say the same.It has been quite nice just being the 2 of us for a whole month. My shopping bill will go up again now and the washing machine will have to get used to big washes again.
I think while I unpack my shopping I will pour myself a glass of wine.I feel like I deserve one after today :-D

Afternoon all
First chance of a proper sit down all day. I've hoovered and polished, tidied up all the rooms, done loads and loads of washing, took down the blind in the bathroom and put them in a bleach soak in the bath. they were a bit mouldy but the bleach only faded it so now I'm about to spray them with some mould spray, that should work. I'll then pop them back in the bath in cold water and fabric conditioner to take away the bleach smell. I've also made a pan of chilly which should do Sandra and I today and tomorrow, just need to boil some rice to go with it later and I've had a bit of a chat with Michelle. I've still got some washing to dry, there's only towels left so I'll use the dryer, then put them away and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors then I'm finished. I'm so tired and Sandra and I still need to watch Eastenders online as it only recorded 11 seconds last night, which didn't pleased Sandra at all.
Well, I'd better go and spray the blinds they need to go back up soon as it's getting dark.
I'll catch up with the posts later.

When our marriage was a lot younger we were always arguing about who was going to do the dishes. So one weekend I went to the leccy board showroom and bought her a dish washer.Loved it.we must be on DW 5 or 6 by now. Me? I just rinse my cup under the sink and use it again.

Not sure exactly where Ros got the long handled Scrunche. She thinks it might have been from "KLEENEZY" We have a girl bring the booklet each month. But I would have thought you could get them from Morrisons/Tesco or a cheap shop. Anyone else Know ??
Beautiful sky again this afternoon, but looks very cold out there. The forecast is minus 4 again tonight.
Ros has been to Materland after Tesco and bought some PJs for Christmas Presents for her friends. She has got to be the first ;-) ;-) ;-) I know she buys things throughout the year as she sees things she likes. Early bird or what :-D :-D :-D.
Washing still out next door. :-0 :-0 :-0 Gawd knows what it will be like, when she brings it in.
Good prog. on Nat Geo. so see you later.
