Woke up to a lovely morning here, but it's clouded over now!!! Letter parcel delivered from Amazon! OH only ordered it less than two days ago! brilliant service! He ordered a long lead to go from the TV to his headphones, so now whoever is watching their 'own' program on TV can do so without disturbing anyone else. OH can watch TV, I can read, or watch catchup, with my own headphones on my Kindle in peace!!
We're not doing much today! Made an appointment to have my hair cut on Tuesday, but apart from that, nothing very interesting!! We're having venison steaks for supper. Good for you as they're low in cholesterol!!

Suns out here and i don't think it's as cold as the last few days.
Not much happening here just having a lazy day after doing my usual jobs.

Gill what a shame you haven't heard from the lady about another viewing ,i thought it sounded quite promising when she said she wanted to come back with her daughter, perhaps her daughter couldn't make it today and she'll come another time.

Not a bad moring here with that yellow thing in the sky. I don't remember seeing it much lately but it is definately there this morning at present.

Sorry to hear the agent did'nt get back to you Gill. Still it should be a nice peaceeful weekend now and you can please yourselves.

Morning all

I got up early today to see the planets as it wasn't so cloudy and could only see the top of the moon. Next door's bungalow was in the way. The moon was massive. OH offered to take me to a place nearby where we might of been able to see it better but the cloud got thicker. I'm not sure we would of got a much better view from there anyway as the welsh mountains would probably of been in the way. So I'm quite disappointed :-( :-( I'm up now so I won't bother going back to bed. Find My Past have some of their records open for free over the weekend so I might take a look to see if I can find anything new for my family tree.

So you've got a bright yellow car to drive around in Jane. I bet you love that....not LOL. With a bit of luck you'll have your car back by Monday and at least you won't lose the car you've got now if it's as bright as you say ;-) ;-)

I'm pleased to hear the deeds are sorted out now Ann. Not long before the sale goes through then you won't have to worry about it anymore.

I didn't hear back from the Agent yesterday so I don't think the woman will be bringing her daughter today.

I'm starting to feel a little sleepy so might go back to bed for an hour

I think Pat thought I was being a bit funny with what I posted!! Sorry Pat if I offended you I was only talking about the last but one sentance in your post. It made me laugh.

I have fiddled with my little things I am making today and think I may send some to Springwatch and see if they appear on any programs. I shall take a pic of them later to let you see them but I still have to figure out how to make their home.

Glad the viewing went well today Gill and hope she does come back with her daughter.

The sun came out here after I posted tis morning and it has been quite warm.

I cleaned the bantams out this afternoon so it must have been warmer.

One and a half litres sounds a lot to drink Anne !!.But saying that it soon adds up with cups of tea/coffee etc.I have 2 big mugs of tea in the morning.Coffee mid morning ,Mug of tea in thafternoon and a few glasses of water .Then of course my usual couple of glasses of wine in the evening.I always have a bottle of water beside the bed at night time.So I probably get through a fair amount of liquid in 24hrs.
That is good your Diabetes is well controlled,you are obviously doing all the right things.I suppose the salt top up is to add a little more as you must be getting rid of a bit too much .Hence cutting down a bit of liquid intake.

That is good Frank to get seats and wheelchair assistance sorted now.One less job to do :-D
Yes we often get the tail end of bad weather from the U S.Maybe we might get a bad February ! :-S

Well, that made me sit up and my eyes water Pat!!!! lol Reminds me of when OH had to do a Long Service presentation at work. The person was to be presented with a Mahogany Clock and OH opened the box beforehand to check it was ok before he did the presentation. Inside was the paperwork that came with it and where it should have said 'Mahogany Clock', someone had missed the letter 'L' out of clock!! I think OH had a job to keep a straight face when he presented it!!

Jane it sounds like I better wear my shades when I go out in my car if your yellow car is that bright!! At least they know what is wrong with the lock so once the right one is fitted it should be fine. Make the most of your free fuel in the yellow car!! :-)

Well it turned out to be a lot of 'medical' talk with my friend today!! Her horse that is aged 24 now is blind in one eye and her hubby has just had a pacemaker fitted. I told her about my A&E trip and about MIL and FIL so we enjoyed a bacon buttie while chatting about all that! She works for the NSPCC part time but will be retiring in October, so I may see more of her then. She said she had texted our friend who is having chemo a few times but hadn't had a reply the last time so we hope she is ok. We are hoping when we meet in a few months that she will feel up to seeing us. It's difficult when you want to see her, but she doesn't want to/isn't up to seeing us. Obviously what she wants is the most important thing right now though and everyone is affected differently by any treatment.

Yes, the house was up for sale before Christmas Pat and we accepted an offer. The phone calls yesterday were to say the house deeds are now registered, so we need to sign more papers and then the solicitor expects the completion date to be early February. :-) That will be great!!

Off to bed now as like Frank I was awake a lot of last night!!

See if they will give you a set of fancy wheel trims then.

Ellen's on a special diet now and has to have her sight tested.

Gill fingers crossed for you on the sale it sounds as though the lady is interested if she wants to show her daughter.

Jane at least you won't have to remember where you parked you car if you leave it in a car park, I haven't seen a car that colour for a long time.

Richard had the day off today as it was his friend's Mum's funeral at 3o/c he hasn't come home yet, fortunately the rain stopped about 2 o/c and the sun came out.
We had a stir fry at lunch time so I just had cheese and biscuits for tea plus an avocado and a kiwi fruit

I had an appointment with the diabetic doctor this afternoon and he was very pleased with all my tests and said I was managing it very well. he also said I didn't look my age which really pleased me. Because my sodium levels are still a little low he said to cut down on the amount of water I drink and only to drink overall 1.5 litres a day that includes all liquids. I have to have another blood test in a months time but for them to get any blood out of me I was told by the phlebotomist to drink more water, the doctor also said to put more salt in my diet.

I hope we don't get all that snow that America has I too hope Ruby is ok where she is. I always stock up with plenty of cat and dog food, plus loo rolls and long life milk at this time of the year, the freezer is always full up so no worries there.

All fed and watered as they say.

Have spent over half an hour on a chat line to Ryanair. I havw arranged for Wheelchair assistance for Ros and I for our trip in June. They have also reserved our seats. So well chuffed, I won't have to do anything now until I Book In at the end of MAY.

I saw on the evening news how bad the snow is in the USA. Washington is in for a real heavy snow. Weusually get what they have, so watch out. !!!

So the Yellow BEASTY is around Kettering. I bet you will get a few bleps from motorists Jane. I didn't know your car was a HEINZ 57 lol lol.

The day ended quite nice here, I looked out earlier and I think there might be a bit of frost later.

I can see I will be on here a fair bit tonight. What with the soaps and Mr Selfridge. (I can't watch that) :-P :-P

So warm in doors, I am stripped to the waist, and still HOT.

Frank ,how is your leg now? Post cramp pain lasts for so long :-S....As for time spent in the bathroom.I think Chris takes longer than me.(not sure he would agree).If I use the shower in our en suite then I am in and and out pretty smart.It is when I have a bath in the main bathroom that i take my time.No point having a bath without a nice long soak :-D..As I am sure Gill will agree :-D.I tend to have a bath in the mornings if I have one,when James has gone off to work ,then I can wallow at leisure with no-one knocking asking how long I will be :-D

Mandy are you happy with your new sideboard? Is it full now :-D.

Next instalment re car...........It appears that there must have been a fault with the boot lock in manufacturing and when checked it was replaced..BUT with the wrong lock :-S
The car is made of Renault and Nissan parts and they got it wrong.So a new lock has been ordered and will arrive on Monday.Just a pity they didn't pick up the real fault on Tuesday.Anyway I have the Yellow Peril to drive.(I stick out like a sore thumb!!!!).
It really is Like A WIMPY yellow David !!!!....AND it has a FULL TANK OF PETROL :-D :-D

Once again today has zipped past me and I can't believe it is nearly 6!!. I am way behind and need to get some food in the oven

I hope that Ruby is ok.I did hear that the Carolinas have had bad snow and she is South Carolina.Our poor friends in Washington are battened down right now and don't expect to be able to leave their home until maybe Monday because of the terrible snow and storm.I am sure they have plenty of provisions including Nappies and Formula for their little 2 month old Freya...Scary time there I reckon!!!

Hi everyone

Just a quicky as I've run a bath and it's getting cold.

The viewing went well although the poor woman fell. We have a small step going up to our living room from the kitchen and although I told her about it she wasn't looking properly and fell onto the living room floor. I was almost in tears with worry as I was convinced she had broken something. Luckily she was okay and very good about it saying it was her fault as I had told her about it and she wasn't looking where she was going. She asked me loads of questions about the bungalow, which thankfully I could answer and said that she might bring her daughter with her tomorrow to take another look. I'm just waiting for the agent to ring to let me know if she's coming and what time. She was late arriving this morning as she had other appointments and lost track of what times they were. She thought she was coming here at 12.30 when in fact it was suppose to be 11am. She turned up around 11.30 and stayed for about an hour.

My mum's shower is broken so she was suppose to come here for a bath at 2.30, she rang me at 3.30 to say she'd had a new shower put in so didn't need to come round after all. Apparently she'd rang me this morning, as did the estate agent but none of them could get through as my phone was playing up. It was only when I rang the agent to see where the woman was with her being late that I found out about my phone, so I took it apart gave it a clean and put it back together. It's working fine now.

I've not had a chance to read the posts yet, so will catch up with them after my bath

Rain has cleared from around us, but it's still a misserable looking afternoon.

My leg is still sore. I have prepared a SHEEP S##t PIE and done the veg. Swede and cabbage. Ros has insisted I sit down, and she is putting the mince in the dish, covering it with potato, and cheese topping.

Blow me the SUN is just coming out.and is really bright. I have just looked out, now I have blotches before my eyes.

Any news on that car Jane ??? Are they supplying you with another new one, or doing the tailgate switch ???
