Mel, forgive me, but I can't believe going to bed that late!! I'd be absolutely exhausted doing that on a regular basis and OH would be very unamused to say the least!!! and you said that was early for you!! If you don't mind me asking, what's your usual time?! We usually make tracks about 9.30-10.00, and put the light out about 11.00. All our married life we've always gone to bed at the same time except if one of us was away,I know lots of people don't, but 1.10!!! Just taken Cas and she nearly got blown away, poor little girl!! She's now in prison with her dinner! Time for some lunch!

Morning all and evening Kim,
Horrid here too with lashing rain blown hard in the wind.
I went to bed last night at 1.10am which is early for me and was still awake at 4am. Don't know when I did drop off in the end but I heard oh get up twice for a leak and then get up and stay up.
The oil arrived this morning while I was still asleep. I had woken cos I heard the lorry down here but dropped off again. We managed to squeeze in 600 litres this time as the price was low.
I do hope you manage to get a car for Lewis Frank and can keep it a surprize for as long as you can. He will be delighted to think his Pappy bought him his very first car. We bought my sons first car, it was an Escort and he did the engine up to such a high standard and speed he could'nt afford the insurance.

Morning all
Really windy and dull here today, lots of clouds so I expect we'll get some rain today. It rained quiet heavily yesterday but thankfully didn't last, so no puddles yet on my patio.
I got a phone call this morning off the agent, so another viewing booked in, this time for Saturday, so that's two this week. I still haven't heard back from the woman who wanted to bring her daughter round, so I think she may of changed her mind.
OH has started the hoovering which was nice of him I didn't even have to ask.....he must be trying to make it up to me after being moody for a couple of days. He was pleased with everything I found for his side of our tree, so maybe that's put him back in a good mood. I'm not complaining though ;-) ;-) I'll take over in a bit, it's only fair we share the chores.
That'll be a lovely surprise for Lewis Frank, you are kind <3 Hope he passes his test....fingers crossed.
I'm like you Ann, I ask Sandra and OH to take their shoes off and put their slippers on before they walk on the carpets. I never used to, but I got fed up of having to clean the carpets with all the mud and muck brought in.
Going to do some of the hoovering now, before OH starts complaining about all the hair. That's the problem with Sandra and I having long hair, when we brush it, it sticks to the carpet which makes hoovering quite a task.
See you all later.

What a horrible windy/rainy day it is here! I've just got back from the hairdresser, so feel a lot tidier! Thank you for reminding me about Australia day Frank! I must send an e mail to both of my cousins who live there. Mel, I wouldn't put up with dirty shoes/boots in the house. OH has to kick them off outside the door and take them through onto newspaper. (we both do) Cas goes straight into her cage after a walk to dry off. Nothing worse than dirty wet feet, human or animal in the house. As it's such an awful day, after lunch we're going to watch a bit of catchup TV and have the venison steaks for supper! Hope your car's back Jane!!!!

Morning All,
The wind's ablowin here too and it looks like rain isn't far away!!
That's good your new dishwasher is in and ready to go Mandy. :-) I expect you are quite likely to see William now he is based quite near you. He could be in any of the helicopters that you see.
That's good news about your SIL's son Anne. Some people amaze me with what they manage to deal with and for so many years too. <3
That's good you found some more info for your tree Gill. It's always exciting when you get a break through. Best wishes for tomorrow's viewing then as I got it wrong! After that I expect you will be itching to do some more sewing. :-)
I'd make him take his shoes off if he was bringing that mess in Mel!!! lol. We have a tray near the back door for shoes, even though the kitchen is tiled. Saves me some cleaning work.
Lewis is a lucky boy Frank. I hope you manage to find him a little runabout. I remember the freedom once I had a car to drive. :-) :-)

Happy Australian day to all those down under. Good morning to all my friends,
Had a reasonable night. 11.00 pm to 7.30 am. Very indy here and thick rain clouds. So I think it will be "Batten down the hatches" today.
The car is suppose to be a surprise for Lewis. But if I get it before his birthday, he will have to know about it, as it will have to be stored at his house. As a learner driver, his Mum or Dad could take him out in it. I hope he has passed his test before his birthday.
Dog MUCK must be the worst smell in the world and to have it on your shoes in a Cinema would cause havock around you.!!!
When do you get your car back Jane ?? Did you dream last night, I didn't.
Yesterday was the anniversary of Ros's Mothers Death1979. We sat and talked about what a lovely woman she was.
Fresh washing went on the line next door yesterday, some of it is still out.
:-D :-D
It lookes like you will need your Body Warmer on today Liz,if you go walkies ;-) ;-) ;-)
Time for my shower and shave, WHY do the Whiskers grow so quickly ???

I've finally finished copying all the info over to my back up tree, so I'm off to bed now.
Just to let you know, the viewing is Wednesday not tomorrow, but thank you for your good wishes. I just hope we don't get to much rain, it's forecast for heavy rain and it collects on my patio, so it won't look good when they arrive for the viewing if it hasn't drained away.
Pleased to hear your OH managed to clean his shoes up, you'd of got some funny looks at the cinema if he hadn't Ann.
I didn't know the stories on Call the Midwife were true Anne, some of them are really sad. Pleased to hear your SIL's son got the all clear from his scan, they must be relieved.
So you're all up and running with your new dishwasher now Mandy, that'll save you some time, not having to wash the dishes by hand. Hope the cyclist is okay after the accident, it must of been bad if an air ambulance was needed.
Good luck finding a car for Lewis Frank, does he know you are getting him one or is it a surprise? Hope you manage to find him a nice one :-) Yes I was lucky to have found everything I needed just as the free records were closed.....talk about good timing LOL. I always taught my girls to say thank you for things people gave them. Sandra sent Mel and thank you card when she sent her a present. I've always said manners cost nothing and saying thank you means so much to others.
Off to bed now, I've been on my family tree for days and I'm shattered. I've got the hoovering and polishing to do tomorrow and I want to changed the bedding too, so a busy day ahead.
See you all tomorrow Night Night

One of the worst smells dog mess. In this house it is oh who treads in chicken mess or pheasent mess which is nearly black and is a devil to get off the carpets even though the kitchen has that floatex stuff on it. Of course he always blames me for bringing it in, as you do......not.
Going to have a play with the new box now and see what I can find to watch before bed so saying night night.

Evening All,
<3 <3HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ <3 <3 It sounds like you had a good one and surprise cake as well! More presents to come when you see the family too.
Good luck with tomorrow's viewing Gill. When I sold my last house I used to have a tidy up too. I've seen all those tv progs about clearing your clutter when you sell a house and you probably have too!! :-) First impressions count so they say.
We decided to go and see the film The Danish Girl this morning and did an errand on the way. OH got back in the car, then said he needed to scrape some leaves off his shoes so got back out again. When he got back in and we set off I noticed a familiar pong the same time as he did.........it was dog mess that had caused the leaves to stick to his shoes!!!! :-S Only he could get dog mess on both shoes just before we were to sit in the cinema for a few hours!!!!!! We continued to the cinema while I found some tissues in my handbag and then held my nose the rest of the way. I told him if he didn't get it all off he could put his hiking boots on that he keeps in the car boot otherwise he could get a seat on a different row to me!! lol. :-) Anyway, luckily the tissues did the trick, thank goodness.
Hope your car is ok when you pick it up tomorrow Jane. :-)
Off to bed to watch some recordings now.

Pleased to hear you had a lovely birthday Liz with a lot of nice things plus a good lunch.
I also cried when watching Call the Midwife Gill it is so well acted, I read a couple of the books before the first programme came out these were based on true stories not sure about the latest ones.
Not done anything much today Amy had her usual walk and I spoke to my S.I.L who had been to the hospital in Hereford as her son who is both mentally and physically handicapped had to have a scan on his kidneys fortunately he was given the all clear. He is in his late 50's, she was very young when she had him, I really admire her for how she has coped with him all these years. I wish I lived nearer to her as she does get lonely although her younger son and his family live very close to her.
We had chicken breasts wrapped in bacon with sprouts, carrots and croquette potatoes for dinner plus gravy of course
It's been very warm but overcast and windy here today with rain forecasted later

We do have strange dreams don't we , i was dreaming last night we were having people coming round i didn't now who they were but when i was cleaning and i pulled the sofa out all the back of the sofa was completely cut in half so i said push it up to the wall and then they won't fall through it because it will be up against the wall !! :-D :-D
We might have had Prince William land in the air ambulance this morning ,we heard it going round and round over head and then we saw it going down not to far away it landed in a field ,we heard that there was a crash between a car and a cyclist and they took the cyclist to hospital.
You sound as if you have had a nice birthday Liz, Roses ,Body Warmer and a nice pub lunch carn't be bad ,oh and a cake too :-)
Dish washer came ,it's all up and working and the old one taken away .
The wind seems to have got up here now it was really blowing when i nipped down to the freezer in the shed , it had blown the water container out that fits in the bird feeder so i had to rescue it from the rose bush .
That sounded a close call Mel !! some of these tractor are huge you were lucky you did get hit ,did you shake your fist at him ?

Evening all,
Dinner over and all cleared away. I took the beef from the "Wellington" (not boot) lol Put it with onions and topped with half potato's in gravy Cooked for aBOUT TWO HOURS. tHE POTATO'S HAD THAT NICE CRUSTY BIT ON THE TOP. (sorry) caught the Caps. There wasn't enough for both, so Ros had that and I settled for Sausages, Eggs and Chips. (LOVELY)
Glad you had a nice day Liz, that was a nice surprise getting a birthday cake. ;-) ;-) ;-) Is the Body Warmer the short sleeve type that goes under a bigger coat, or can be used over a jumper. I have one like that, but rarely wear it, as everywhere I go is mainly in the car.
That wind certainly got up this afternoon, but has died down now. No sign of rain.
You were lucky Gill getting the info. you wanted before it cut you off ;-) ;-) I hope your viewing goes well tomorrow.
Lunch with the Royals eh Jane. Don't get above your STATION IN LIFE Will you <3 <3 <3 ere you in the yellow peril. ?? My dream last night was Ella having a rope round Alexander and bumping him down the stairs from the landing. Just the sort of thing she would do :-D :-D :-D
We had a letter from her today (aged 8) thanking us for her Christmas Presents. I always got my children to write thank you letters. I would say "if people are kind enough to buy you presents, the least you can do is thank them" I think it is right and proper.
Two hours of soaps now, then Benidorm, so nothing exciting tonight. Good old computer and book.
I am still looking for a car for Lewis, the now sales manager at the old garage I worked at, is looking around at what PXs come in over the new few months. So I should get fixed up. The garage sells around 300/400 used cars a month, so there are plenty of PXs. This was the garage I worked at where I walked about 5 miles a day, selling 40/50 cars a month. It was there that my left knee gave out on me, and I had to leave the job.
Have a good evening folks, and be good !!!

So you're not getting your car back until tomorrow now. Hope it's not raining when you have to go out. We got a right down pour before and I've just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday and it doesn't look good. So I've decided if the Agent rings to book in the second viewing for the lady and her daughter I'll try and do it for Thursday as it's the only dry day this week. There's noting I can do about the viewing on Wednesday though, I just hope it's not to bad with the rain as it does collect on the patio.
Glad to hear you've had a good day Liz, the body warmer will come in handy now the weather is changing over the next few days.
Oh dear Mel, did the tractor driver not see you collecting your bin. Luckily you didn't get hit.
I'm still copying the info I found to my back up tree and as I'm going along I'm finding more info so I'm having to put that on the two trees. It's taking a while but should all be done before bed time. OH is really pleased and actually said thank you......that's not a word I hear off him very often :-S :-S
Sandra and OH nipped out before, so I watched Jericho, Mr Selfridge and Call the midwife while they were out. I was in tears with Call the Midwife, it was such a sad one. No wonder my trees are taking so long :-) :-)

Good job you weren't squished flat Mel. You mentioning a big tractor remned me of one I was following yesterday. It was kicking up so much muck that the lady behind me who was in an open top sports cars was getting splattered !!!!! LOL
Good day then Liz.Nice lunch and your body warmer to boot :-D :-D.Roses too.Lucky girl
The car will be ready in the morning.I rang up at 5pm and it was still in the workshop.I don't think the new part arrived until lunchtime.I am getting quite used to this little yellow Twingo lol.
Well poor old Thomas is not happy with me today.I had to give his lovely white bib a good wiping down this morning as it was no longer white. It was rather pink and all sticky. He must have had something for breakfast outside :-S :-S.Then I did his spot on Flea treatment .He has been trying to lick his neck all day .I don't think he is feeling too bright now :-(
I think the wind is picking up here too now.I suppose the next thing will be the rain. I could be soaked walking from the car park into the Drs in the morning. :-S it could be a quick dash if hips allow :-)
Braised Pesto Chicken in Orzo for dinner with Asparagus and Brocolli ..It is a scrummy dish.
Dishwasher on yet Mandy? :-D :-D

Thank you David and all. Yes Mel it's for my birthday from OH.. We went to Cotswold Country Ltd in Cirencester, and managed to get what I wanted, so I'm really pleased. Also a dummy for Cas!! It's a brilliant shop and you could spend a lot of money there as they do have some lovely things! We had a nice lunch in a Pub we quite often go to, just outside the village, both offspring rang for a chat, and sent cards with presents to follow when we meet up this weekend!! As well as that a lady down the road from us baked and delivered a cake this afternoon! OH had ordered it last week, unbeknown to me, so another surprise! I have certainly had a lovely day! The wind has really got up here, and the sky is very black. What's the news on the car Jane? I hope it's sorted. Glad you're getting on well with your tree Gill, and fingers crossed with you viewings.

Well I have been a good girl and hoovered through the kitchen and diner and been up the top to see if the recykling had been and it had and the bin was across the other side of the road and the winds blowing a gale and I nearly got flattened by a huge tractor and trailer when I wnet to pick it up before he sqashed it flat.
Ddi lunch and cleared all that away and washed up and fed the birds so now I am having a little sit with a nice COT which I think I deserve now.
Hope you get your bod warmer you want Liz. Will Ian buy it for you for your birthday?

I was a bit luckier this time round when the records were open and managed to just finish OH's family as they closed the free access on FMP. Last time I had one more person to find. Mel was kind and found it for me then.
I'm going to copy all the information over to another tree I have as a back up, that should keep me busy for the afternoon. ;-) ;-)
The sky has gone really black, so I think we might be in for some rain. If it gets any darker I'll have to put some lights on.
