Annx The cards are bought but no middle cut out just folded cards. There is no apature on any of the cards the photos are mounted on contrastin colour mats, the fronts of the cards are covered in another contrasting colour paper or card. Glad you like the garden, it has been fighting this awful wind for two days now and is very windswept the wild flower garden seems to survive despite a lot of the flowers being quite tall, OH has staked the sunflower. If you remember we thought we had lost our rhubarb as it disappeared, however it grew back and has been very good.
Sunny here so far, 17 degrees and windy. We have a few plants to put in , the ones we bought yesterday and bark to spread in the front garden. I see that as expected there was very little social distancing at the first night the pubs opened last night. No doubt there will be yet more cases in London and elsewhere they were all mobbed together. Let us hope it doesn't lead to another lockdown through their selfishness.

Forgot to say AnnG how lovely your garden looks and so full of flowers! The poppies are pretty and your baskets are trailing well whereas the plants in mine are half the size. Very nice goosegogs and rhubarb too. I've been surprised our rhubarb hasn't bolted yet this year. You have made your photos into some really nice cards. Do you buy the cards with the middles cut out for a photo or do you cut them out yourself?

Evening All,
A changeable day here with wind, rain and sun. The poor courgettes were suffering in the wind tunnel at the side of the bungalow so I have put short sticks between the leaves to stop them blowing about.
I've not tried this myself David but I found this instruction which might solve your problem.
How do I get rid of squares on my Facebook pictures? To turn this setting on or off for your account: Select Settings & Privacy > Settings. In the left column, click Face Recognition. Go to Do you want Facebook to be able to recognize you in photos and videos? and click Edit. Select Yes or No to confirm your choice.
I've seen the horse video before but it still brings a lump to my throat to see how the patients respond to it, such a gentle horse. As for the Tailorbird, I was amazed as I had never heard of them before.
Frank you really should be seeking 111 advice as the others say and certainly not be going out anywhere till you have and also have had a test if they advise it.
This morning OH was whizzing about doing jobs, weeding the front, cleaning the bath! Yes, it was footie this afternoon on the telly so he was building up his brownie points. He also filled some large plant pots for me so I could plant out some lettuce seedlings. I want to keep them in the greenhouse out of the way of the pigeons which have been attacking the flowers on my waterlily!! He found 2 bigger ceramic pots to clean and has filled them so I can plant some of the self set pansy seedlings and Snapdragons that are growing everywhere. I have also been crafting today at last and working on my wool felted mouse's jumper, as some of the wool I needed arrived a few days ago. :-). I hadn't recognised the packet as they vacuum pack it so it goes through the letterbox.
No Sunday lunch delivery tomorrow now they are open, so it looks like a root around in the freezer for something to cook from frozen tomorrow then it is wipe down time in the afternoon and like Vera I will be shattered by the time that's finished.
That's lovely you have another Robbie coming to you and landing on your hand Mel. It must be lovely to feel his little feet land.
Mandy that's quite a job laying the stuff to prevent weeds and mulching on top. Well worth it to save a lot of work after though. I had to laugh at your son and 'Whoa mother!'. lol. It's a wonder he didn't have a tape measure at the ready!
Flappergirl we have a sweet Westie girl next door. We we worried about barking when she came, as we have a Shih Tzu the other side that does nothing but when he's outside, and we thought he would set her off too, but she is as good as gold and ignores him. She never barks at us in the garden like he does, and does just one bark when she wants to be let in and waits patiently till someone comes. We hear more sound from her squeaky toys than we do her!

Yes Mel we have a little West Highland girl called Abby, who is 5 years old and a real poppet! Now we are older she suits us really well as she doesn't need too much exercise and is a great companion. A lap dog!!!!! I don't really have any home hobbies apart from reading! I'm re-reading Middlemarch at the moment, which we read at school as part of our A'level English literature exam.I'd forgotten how long it is and how complicated! My brain was obviously better all those years ago!!! I'm also writing a history of our family and the people in it to leave to our grandchildren! This is being a long exercise as a fair bit of research is needed, so it should keep me busy for quite a while. I've done a fairly comprehensive tree on ancestry, and I decided to start in depth with great grandparents as before then the people are just names and unless someone is particularly interesting, I've skipped over the earlier relations! I hope the children are interested after all my efforts!!! Just going to take our little girl for a quick trot into the Park, it's only over the road so very convenient!

David, all I can think of is to remove your photo back to your photo gallery, transfer it to your ordinary photo app, bring it up as an ordinary photo, then you should be able to enlarge it and then crop it to delete the squares. You should then be able to download it back to gallery and then onto your FB page. Hope this helps. I agree with AnneG, Frank, I really wouldn't go to A&E. Ringing 111 for advice would be much better. Surely you shouldn't be going out today or away tomorrow if you feel so ill?! particularly as the virus is still out there!

Frank have you taken your temperature? I wonder if you should call 111 and ask advice. No I don't think you should just go to A&E while you don't know what it is. Sounds like some sort of bug.
Vera very windy and showery here so i hope it is better where you are. Enjoy the family gathering anyway, be nice to socialise even if at a distance.
Pleased you all liked the photos, I will email out the photo of the gooseberries OH picked this morning later.

Afternoon all, Going through a very funny time at the moment. It started yesterday afternoon, and is still with me.I keep going HOT and COLD. At times I have to strip off, the next I am loading cloths back on me. It went on through the night, so didn't get a lot of sleep. Ros wants to take me to A & E, but I won't let her.
Horrible weather forecast for Devon next week, so no walking along the sea front for me. Must take a new book, as I am almost finished the present one. The weather here is awful COLD and WINDY. So much for th SUMMER. !!!!
After my haircut at 3.45 pm I am taking Ros to a restaurant for a meal. At the moment I don't feel like eating anything, so hope I see something, I fancy on the Menu. Otherwise it will be a starter of some sort, for me.
David, I have no idea how you can get rid of those squares. It might be a good idea to ask on F.B. There are a lot of clever people out there.
Ros has just made a coffee, so I had better go and drink it.
If I remember to pack the computer, I will stay in touch while we are away. I think we should be back Thursday. Not that I am keen on going anyway. But Ros won't go on her own, in case I have a fall, with nobody here to help me.
Tak care all. xxxx

David I just looked at my FB photos (I assume you mean the face identifying square is on a facebook photo? Whereabouts on facebook are you seeing it? I can see it appear in my albums but it goes off when I move the cursor from the photo.

Sorry David i can't help you with that ,maybe start a new post as i'm sure some one will be able to help you .
Vera have a lovely time at the BBQ and i hope it stays fine for you so you can be outside but if you do have to go in it sounds as if they have it all organised with the seating to keep you all safe .
Mel the trough has to have a couple more coats of paint yet so we won't plant until Monday probably . We have peat free all veg compost so i hope that's ok for the plants .
Really dull here but dry at the moment .

David I don't think you can unless you have photo shop and do it by hand on the pc by putting very small dots on the squares. I used to have that app but not any more.
Still raining that awful fine stuff and its all dripping off the trees and then the wind blows and you get soaked.
Well that was nice of the doctor to ring me (not) and now they are closed so I don't know quite what to do, carry on taking the pills and don't take the statin or what?
Picked the Blueberries this morning and have quite a lot but I have left them in the shed as I had to go and do the big girls and was quite wet by the time I had finished that so I shall pick them up later and weigh them. Vera did yopu get Blueberries in the end as you thought the flowers were all on the floor but they may have been polinated and thats why they fell off. Mine do that. I have just two bushes of different types but can't remember what they are now. One is supposed to be later than the other but they both seem to do their thing together.
Mandy we are still waiting to see a picture of the troughs before planting and filling and after. What compost did you buy for them?

On Facebook I have my wedding day photograph. Somehow there is a square around mine and Ellen's heads. I think someone used this feature to identify us. Their choice. How do I remove those squares ?

Grey and windy here too but no rain is forecast. Grandson and his partner have invited us to a BBQ in their garden with daughter and granddaughter. We all had a text from the girlfriend to say that if we have to go indoors she has arranged all the chairs at least a metre apart, all internal doors will be open so no-one has to touch the door handles and there will be disinfectant wipes in the bathroom with a bin on the landing so we can drop them in there after we have wiped the bathroom door handle. Bless her, she is trying to keep us safe. She hasn't said but I have a feeling she may have invited her parents too which will make 8 people. I can cope with that outside where we can space more but if we have to go indoors and I feel uncomfortable I may just have to develop a strategic headache and come home.
Yesterday was a bit of a busy day. OH brought in the old sewing machine from the garage. It was one I inherited when mil died but there was no instruction book so I never did find out what some of the dials and controls were for. It is so long since I used it - at least 7 or 8 years - that I had to work out how to thread it up again. Anyway I sorted it and made myself a new mask for my hairdressing visit on Monday. The ones we have already have elastic that goes right round the head and I need one with elastic ear loops that the hairdresser can cut round.
After that I went and got my meds. It looked very busy in town. We didn't hang around. OH dropped me right outside the chemist and then just drove round the corner and waited for me.
I had a Tesco order arrive just after 8 last night so a late night wipe down for me. I was shattered by the time I went to bed.
:-D :-D @ David. I remember my younger brother having a cowboy outfit.
AnnG, I've just looked at the photos on the blog. Lovely pictures as always. Your garden is looking very pretty.
Must go and get ready to go to Grandson's. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning all, yes very windy here too again. Seems to be what we are going to get nowadays. I don't like it because it spoils the garden, it is looking very windswept. OH is picking the last of the gooseberries in case it rains and they get spoiled. May have to freeze them until I can make some jam maybe next week. Can't do it while OH is around Lol!!!
Popping round the local garden centre later for some bark, other than that not sure what we are doing. We ought to make ourselves go for a short walk I think. First day that the pubs, hotels, and hairdressers etc can open as we crawl out of lockdown slowly.

morning all,
Dull grey and wet again here this morning and windy with it.
Just the shop for the bits and bobs and do the egg delivery. I was going to clean the chickens out but think it is too windy for that so may just do the nests which are on the sheilded side from the wind. Will see how it goes.

I have a poppy thats perennial which I bought at Bideford market years ago (over 24 years) It seeded itsself along the road to the bantams and flowers and flowers. I have lost it up the border so must cast some seeds up there. If anyone wants any seed let me know.
