I don't know if AnnG replied to me by mistake but I got the reply to Vera's email.
Vera looking at your pictures you sent of this year and last year is that the red plant in front of the mauvey one not flowering last year? There is a panstemon in the picture with no flowers on it?
I hav'nt either of those colours but would love cutting if poss please? Mine is a pink one. I did buy a white one down the hsop but it died and it was'nt cheap either.
Done lunch, we had fishing sandwiches, egg and tomato. Oh always calls them that as thats what he used to take when he went fishing.
Gill how are you getting on with your tree?
Wonder if we will hear from Frank today. If they have come home maybe they will be too tired to let us know they are home safely. <3

Afternoon All
Ann and Mel, I'm making hexagons. I have seven already joined together which have bee lurking for some time so I thought I'd make enough for a cushion cover. The seven were left over from a throw I made. I'll try not to make too many this time but crochet is quite therapeutic. I also have a cotton top on the go. My list of UFOs is quite long :-D
I'm not one for keeping the hairdresser flush. I've got quite well behaved hair which doesn't grow very long, I chop my own fringe. If I go twice a year that's 'often'.

Afternoon all
Dull but dry here today after so much rain yesterday and into the night. OH helped me re-pot the climbing Fatsia yesterday, so that's in the side garden and had a good drink thanks to the rain. It's about 4 foot tall now, so doing really well and to think it was a tiny cutting less than a year ago.
What a lovely surprise to have all those tomatoes in 2018 Island and now some lovely Runner beans as well. I liked the way you said you weren't falling for the dust again after dusting and it coming back........so funny. :-D :-D :-D
It looks like most of you are having your hair cut, what a treat after all this time. I'm like Mel and have very long hair that needs washing over the bath as the sink is to small, so I don't go to the hairdressers either.
Congratulations to your Granddaughter Vera, you must be so proud. How strange having your plant change colour to Red, at least you have two for the price of one right now, even if you didn't plan on having red, it still looks pretty. Would it work if you cut the red ones out and just leave the colour you want for now? If it turns completely red next year you could move it. You have some lovely flowers in your garden, maybe the red could be put next to the yellow, they'd look nice together.
Sorry to see you haven't had a good nights sleep Jane, I hope you managed to get off okay in the end. I see Thomas is back now after his disappearing act the other week. I hope things go better at your next Chemo session and you don't forget your steroid again. Loved the pic of the ducks, how cute were they.
Love the pic of your feeding the Robin Mel, how cute was he? I didn't spot him at first he's that small. It sounds like you were very busy cleaning all your windows yesterday, it makes such a difference doesn't it? Pity you can't reach the one in the loft though. Would your OH be able to do it for you?
Oh dear Ann, that's not good having a brawl and using weapons, I wonder what caused it all. Thankfully you're okay, but it's a bit of a worry if normally it doesn't happen. I hope you can have your hair cut soon and there isn't any trouble around when you go.
I'm the same as you Flappergirl, not much to do today now all the washing and housework is out of the way, it's still to wet to do any gardening. We're waiting for a good day of nice weather so we can tackle the front garden, it badly needs weeding. It's nice to see it mature though after starting from scratch a couple of years ago when the big hedge came out and the new fence went in. All the neighbours comment on how nice it looks, although they having said it for a while, probably because of all the weeds LOL, so we need a good full day of nice weather to tidy it up again.
Sorry to hear you can't remove the two squares David, I don't know enough about Facebook to help. I hope you can sort it soon. Have you thought of asking Facebook for help, they maybe able to sort it for you. I hope it's sorted soon.
A couple of our windows misted up a while back AnnG so we had to have the double glazed glass replaced, Luckily the frame didn't need to come out as well and it was a fraction of the price of a new window. I hope Charles can fix yours in the same way.
I wonder if Frank and Ros are home today, it'll be nice to hear how their holiday went.

I ended up doing a bit more than pottering after all. We cleared all the cupboards and drawers in the units in our living room a while ago but never really finished spring cleaning the room so I've dusted down all the walls and cleaned behind pictures etc. The next logical step would have been to wash the paintwork but I didn't feel in the mood for that so I've cleaned up the 2 leather recliners and separate footstalls and polished the coffee tables. Why have we got so many? There are 3 fairly large wooden ones and a nest of 3 glass tables. I also tidied up a couple of plants in there and washed coasters and cleaned the table lamps and a standard lamp. I'm exhausted now and OH is just getting us a snack lunch.
I've emailed round a couple of garden pics.

ah I see, unless you have the original in your photo programme I think you will not be able to fix it, unless maybe you know an expert with photo shop who could copy it and work on removing the squares. Maybe you just have to live with it.

Ann, the photo is original, but it's been around . May even have been on Photobucket. The squares I believe were to identify.. One of the earlier components of MS Office had that feature.

Started to tidy and found an old newpaper cutting from when I worked at the PDSA back in the 60's. Put it in the album mum made of the pictures of me in the papers and got lost in the photos in there and looked right through them all. Lovely one of my pony and I as I hav'nt many of Little Red.

Were the squares there before you put the photo on facebook David. Why do you think it was done by a part of Office?

Good morning Ann, Flappergirl, and all the others. Unfortunately I have been unable to remove the two squares from around the heads of Ellen and I. Pity, it's a good photograph. I think the squares were put there by a component of MS Office. Easy to put on, but how do you remove it ?

Decided to have a go at the drawers in my office. Big mistake to open the bottom drawer, stuff in there not been used for many years I think, mostly craft stuff from a previous card making era!!!!
Mel there are plenty of seeds to experiment with. If you think about it the seld seeded ones will be sown now.

O thats lovely thank you Anng. Do you think I should plants them now or wait a bit? I suppose I could try some as they have to grow a year before they flower don't they?
Island I am going to pm you. What are you crocheting? Mandy does a lot of crochet, she's just done a lovely bag for one of her grand children. Dolls clothes for another in sets which were really lovely.
I am going to do a bit of tidying too today and dust my desk and put my pills in the boxes.

Good morning and a safe journey to Frank if he is travelling today.
Jane I hope you managed to get to sleep in the end, you will sleep for a day then!! I loved the fact that you were wiping down to pass the time!!
It is quite warm outside when the sun comes out and it has done a bit, very damp under foot so rained in the night, also windy again. I think this is the tail end of storm Edmund or Edward or somebody beginning with E. Hope the weather improves a bit soon. We are paying for those lovely days at the start of lockdown when all those people were complaining it was too hot.
Island what are you making with your crochet? Glad you enjoyed your beans. Ours were very late going in but do now have flowers on them (white flowers).
Vera now the excitement of having our hair cut is over what is there to look forward to next I wonder? sounds like a pottering day all round.
Saw this morning there are two new cases in our borough which doesn't fill me with confidence.
This morning we have Charles (the lad who fixed our leaking conservatory roof) coming round to look at our patio door with has misted and also a side opening window. He will be well disinfected when he comes into the conservatory!!!
David, yes as FG says, did you fix the photos on your facebook. We had a coach like that many years back when we lived in Essex, in other places we have had a large van that was also a shop.
Mel I have the poppy seeds ready to post to you.

Morning all
Same miserable, grey, wet day here. It’s not actually raining at the moment but it looks as though it will be again soon.
Sorry you had such a sleepless night Jane. You’ll have to catch up on the zzzz during the day.
I had a feeling Frank said he would be returning today. Safe journey home Frank & Ros.
Not sure what I am doing today, probably just pottering about.

Morning All
I'm beginning to take this weather personally :-| I expect it will be 'too darn hot' next.
Jane, I'm sorry you are having to have chemo and wish you well. I've recently had my meds changed to a steroid one and make sure I have it first thing with a cuppa and biscuit as I've only just got back into the sleep routine I know and love. I'm a bit partial to the cheesey wotsit myself :-D
It's chucking with rain now :-| :-| I fear for the outdoor tomatoes.
Make the most of being indoors again everyone I think I'll start with half an hours crochet to limber me up for a bit of tidying - actually that is a bonus with visiters not being allowed :-D
PS the runner beans were lovely :-D

Morning all,
Raining again this morning so miserable.
David we had a traveling shop when I first moved down here he had a van with a sliding side door and in there were all deep shelves in the back some shelves and the veg on the floor. He had most things you asked for and always came in and had a cuppa after our shop. He retired and nobody came out here anymore.
When I lived in suffolk we had the same sort of thing a big lorry this time with all sorts of things. A prper travelling shop which topped right outside my cottage. Same with the library, walk out the gate across the road onto the green and in the library. So convienient.

Still awake :-S Have been downstairs made a cup of tea ,ate a bag of cheesy wotsits, wiped down the worktops and let Thomas out.He must be mad as it is so wet.Anyway that is him out now until the morning. What to do now I wonder. I think I might have to have a couple of Gaviscon as those Wotsits are sitting a bit heavy even though there is nothing to them.
Vera I managed about half of that Yorkshire Pudding Dinner until I started with the dreaded reflux and I didnt want to bring up what I had managed to eat. After a while I had a nice slice of the fruit cake and a mug of hot milk. That went down well :-D
I will go now as I will start to talk a load of rubbish.I can feel it in my bones LOL SWeet dreams everyone.Hope I finally manage to have some. zzzzzzzzz

You certainly don’t sound tired Jane hope you don’t struggle to sleep now. Love the sound of the ducks.
Mel gosh I couldn’t leave my hair two weeks. Now it is grey it doesn’t get as greasy as it used to but it needs washing at least every five days.
Just read back and I forgot to comment Vera on your neighbour. I wonder if there are things in the different shops she likes. But it is a bit mean when people can’t get slots.

The trouble with having such a high dose of steroids might mean I could be awake half the bl@@dy night.Im usually asleep by now but no sign of tiredness yet :-S I am in bed but feeling quite wired. At least I have a good book to read on my kindle.A nice psychological thriller just up my street. Plus I can stay awake if Chris and James go to bed and wait for Thomas to come in(if he does)He will be soaked. Did I tell you next door have got 5 Aylesbury Ducks? Lovely looking birds an d so funny as they all stay in a bunch when out and about. They don’t seem to go far from their pen. Took a pic just now so will send it.
