seems not too bad this morning. We have to go to the chemist as there should be a prescription there for him.
One strange thing is that he seems to have a pain across his stomach low down now, just a dull ache (as well as in his elbows and top of his leg. I think it is either referred pain or, in the case of his stomach, bad posture/walking.

Morning all,
We have a beautiful morning with sun Blue sky and white clouds but there are some grey clouds looming too so how long the sun will last is a good question. Not so windy either.
Trust you all slept well? Will see today how Ed is getting on when I drop the eggs off.
Have a good weekend everyone.

I could get into this when I copied the long url into word. Not sure it will work here but it tells how there is no need to disinfect groceries and why.

AnnG I think I would be miserable if I'd had all the pain your poor OH has had and after being pulled about a bit yesterday it's not surprising he has pain today ,let's hope the next appointment will help.
Its been absolutely pouring here all day and I'm sure there must be flooding about and I read that there is power cuts in some places so I've put the torch on charge to top it up ,there's trees down too.
Nice easy meal tonight chicken and chips and some apple crumble left over from yesterday .

Still windy here but the suns still out so thats good.
Poor T he is bound to feel a bit bettered today after his session yesterday. They do say it gets worse before it gets better so I hope this will work for him. Paracetamols always helped my back pain but people are all different. I know what you mean about where they have been it looks like a bombs hit it. Think I have said this before but oh never puts anything away once he's used it. He always knows where to find it though!
Frank I hope you get on ok with this scooter application and are able to get some help with one as it would make such a difference to you to be able to pop out when you want to.
Anng I think it is Mandy's son not her SIL. Good he is enjoying is new old job even if there are a lot more changes happening a the school.
I have put the bantam back in with the other two in their house and run. The two old ones are in the nest box out of the wind and the younger one is in the run. I am hoping she will eat something as it did'nt look like she was eating in the shed.

Good afternoon all. Mel have you rung for those scropts?
Frank hope that RAFA can follow through with their help. Yes they will probably need to check your financial status. Hope you can manage to book a table for the weekend, now they have to close at ten they are having to condense everyone into a shorter timescale. Doesn't make sense anyway, all the big bars are doing is offering incentive to drink from an earlier time with cocktail hour being from 3pm.
Mandy so pleased that your son is enjoying his job, that is nice to hear. and good that all the meds were delivered for you.
Vera T's Osteopath is old school from what I heard by recommendation. T says he is an 'older' man (from an 82 year old that could mean anything). He is a cranial Osteopath and seems not to do a lot of actual manipulation just gentle movement. However, when T woke up this morning he must have slept heavily for an hour or so and his back has been very painful (he was warned it might be sore as it tried to free itself. He has now decided the nurofen is not doing anything so is sticking with paracetamols (I have read that they don't help back pain) and a heat pad that he bought on line which does seem to help suffice it to say that yesterday he was all upbeat and cheerful and today he is a miserable b****r. :-( :-(
So far I have changed his bed and meanwhile he laid down on 'mine' and messed it all up because he will lay on top of the duvet. Done a load of washing and generally tidies up because everywhere he chooses to sit ends up looking like a bomb has hit it. (Yes Vera my mood is mirroring yous, however can't blame the weather as it is unny although very cold).

Morning Mandy, Mel and all
Cold, wet and very windy here this morning. Autumn has certainly let us know it’s arrived.
It’s good that OH got on well with the osteopath AnnG. It sounds as though he may be able to help. I didn’t say anything before T went but my OH had a terrible experience with an osteopath many years ago and won’t go near one now. This was a woman recommended by our then doctor. In manipulating one side of his back she managed to put the other side out and he has had problems ever since. It sounds as though your osteopath is a good deal better.
I’m pleased your son is enjoying the job Mandy. It must seem very different to the last time he was working there with all the changes because of Covid. I was talking to my daughter yesterday evening and asked her if her students were much behind with the work. She said that wasn’t much of a problem but quite a few of them have some sort of mental health or anxiety issue. A big intake in her school is from deprived areas and sometimes the school is the most stable thing in their lives. She’s also unhappy that, because of cleaning and sterilising and waiting so many hours before re-use, the lunchtime canteen now only opens twice a week. On the other days the kids take a packed lunch. Quite a number have free school meals and the school is providing them with packed lunches so they don’t go hungry but for many of these youngsters their school dinner is the only proper hot meal they get. What has to be, must be but I think some of our kids have suffered more during the past few months than we have realised.
I’m being a bit gloomy this morning aren’t I? Put it down to the weather. It’s starting to blow a real hooley out there now. On the good news front, my foot is improving all the time. It still has a way to go but I am using the chariot less and this morning I managed to drag myself upstairs for the first time in 6 days. I had a load of towels to bring down but couldn’t carry them and hang on to the stair rail so I threw them over the banisters into the hall.
Going to ring my brother now as I haven’t spoken to him since he was here a week ago. Doesn’t the time fly by when you get older. Sending a hug to anyone on the thread who is unwell or feeling down.
Enjoy your day everyone, whatever your weather is like.
EDIT. Missed you when I was typing Frank so I am waving hallo ~~~~~~~~

Good Morning all,
No rain here (YET) but plenty of wind. Trees are all bent over.
We have been informed that we can follow Maggies funeral on ZOOM whatever that is.
Send some of your sunshine up here PLEASE Mel. We had a lot of rain yesterday, and could do with drying out a bit.
Simon and Sally rang this morning, after me leaving them a message. They are free on Sunday, so I have suggested metting here, and going for LUNCH together. I have been left to book the table, which I will do soon.
Nice to get your tablets delivered Mandy. Our Doctors dispense their own, so Ros pickes them up from there. Only a few minutes away.
I have heard back from the RAFA regarding the scooter. They will allocate a staff member to help process the application, and I will hear from them soon. I expect they will want to know about my income and expenditure and what savings we have.
I haven't eaten yet today, so will get an early lunch, as I am feeing peckish.
See you all soon, take care and stay safe. xxxx
