Its been raining here too this afternoon. It rained a bit when I went to the shop but we've just had a heavy shower and now the suns out agian out the back and cloudy out the front. The winds picked up a bit and is really cold as it seems to be coming from the north west.
Vera hope the x-ray finds what the problem is and it may be as Anng said a sprained tendon which always take a long while to heal. We have that eConsult and I think I used it once but for what I can't remember. Still the x-ray should show if anything is wrong once you get the results.
Frank It does sound like the new meds are working and I hope they continue to. WE can't have our poor Frank feeling bad as we need you on here as we miss your posts when you stay away and give me a ring if you need to talk to someone at any time.
Gill it does sound like Sandra is getting herself ready for living on her own but if she dos'nt get a flat will she stay with you?
Anng I too have to do that task for oh and I know what you mean about smelly feet. Oh dos'nt wer socks during the summer as he wears sandles most of the time.

Just picked in a huge load of runner beans. didn't think there were any more to come but went down to check. Enough for us for three meals so I think I will freeze two small lots. Normally we could eat them in two meals but OH is still not eating a lot.
Yes OH is getting on well with the braces, except when he forgets that they are under his sweater and to remove his trousers the sweater has to come off first or he will get tied in knots!!

Afternoon All,
A bit overcast here, but another goodish sleep so that is good. OH has gone to another footie field to watch a match in the sticks about 20 miles from Nottingham. No cost, so no money to deal with and he can find himself a quiet spot away from other people.
Frank I am not surprised as my experience was that sometimes a big attack would follow a few months of smaller ones and had a couple of big ones that left me thinking life wasn't worth living so I well understand you thinking of suicide!! You feel so dreadful, but things will settle back down again gradually and you should get less of them. The annoying thing is that they pop up out of raised general anxiety, nothing specific and they make you feel even more anxious when you are trying to calm down! It's good your doctor responded so quickly and took the time you needed to help you. Best Wishes. <3 <3
That's good there is some progress with Sandra Gill. I expect she is enjoying learning to do things knowing she can have her own place if she can mostly look after herself. It would be good if they could find her somewhere near you so you can keep an eye on her as well as social services as she will still be vulnerable and unworldly. Did you see that lady on tv who has 1,500 potted plants in her garden? I thought of you and all your pots and thought you have a long way to go!! :-D :-D
Oh Vera, you must have overdone it with your poor foot! The x-ray will be quick to get though and show if you have broken anything and then the physio will help if not. I haven't a clue about booking appointments other than for flu at our doctors so must look on line. I love the big terracotta pots and yours will be lovely filled with wallflowers for gorgeous scent at your front door! I'm afraid we can't move them anymore with our backs, so just get plastic if we want a big pot now.......they never look quite as good though.
Mandy how nice the lady brought a box of chocs for the grandchildren! :-) It's good those bananas didn't go to waste to.........we like banana custard. :-) The cauli you got was much better value, nearly half the price.
I hope your face is feeling better today AnnG after a night without the stitches. Is 'T' liking his braces now he doesn't have to hitch his trousers up! Hopefully once they sort him out he will fill out a little and not need them.....the braces that is! You asked about the photography course, it is on Thursdays.
I hope Jane is comfortable and not in pain. Hopefully she will be seeing H&G this weekend to cheer her up with baby talk! :-D <3

Good afternoon Frank. Thank goodness for Ros and good friends. And a good doctor. Now you know when you have those feelings, if you are alone phone the surgery and tell them. Hopefully the tablets will help you but you can also come straight on here if there is nobody at home with you and even an on line chat can help. I am wondering if the surgery have checked the meds that you already have that the doctor in Devon said were not compatible. It sounds like something was upsetting your brain. hoping that you stay Ok now. And if your thoughts are really very bad please don't hesitate to phone the samaritans for a chat. Maybe make a note of their number and keep it handy.
Vera yes we have econsult as well, it did work for OH but because his main problem was headaches lasting over a certain time they red flagged it and said, "Emergency call 111" So I had to back track and re-phrase the answer to the previous question. sometimes they don't seem to ask the correct questions but all in all it is a handy tool. Much rather our old system of call in to the surgery to make an appointment. but that is cancelled through the virus. I hope the Xray doesn't show too big a problem. Maybe it is a tendon. No my face isn't sore, it feels tight because of the steri strips across it and looks odd. I have to admit to being quite pleased to wear a mask!!
Mandy No sun here but quite bright and dry.
Had a lovely job this morning after breakfast and before we drove to local Tesco (OH drove and stayed in the car while I shopped). I am sure I didn't promise in my wedding vows 'In sickness and in health and to wash your feet'. I hate feet but he can't reach to wash them and they were a bit smelly. Hated every minute of that (while not showing it of course and to be fair he does appreciate what I do.). But they were nice and clean and comfortable when I put clean socks on for him. For an independent person it must be awful not being able to do simple things like wash your own feet and I do feel really sorry for him. Luckily he is, on the whole quite patient about it all.

Sunshine and showers here today and like Vera the nights are starting to become a lot colder.
Sorry to hear about your foot Vera and hope it nothing to bad, you'll find out what's what on Monday when you go for your x-ray.
I'm pleased to see you managed to speak with a doctor quickly Frank. Take it easy and rest, it sounds like anxiety, it's been such a year hasn't it? I hope you feel better soon and the meds help, it sounds like they are, so that's good.
Yes, it's a very busy time here at the moment, Sandra has learnt a lot and is still leaning things, she knows quite a lot already so it's more fine tuning at the moment. She has a social worker who will help her to, so plenty of people around if she needs anything.
Thinking of Jane <3

Good morning to you all.
SORRY I haven't been around, but I have been feeling TERRIBLE, even thinking of SUICIDE yesterday. Ros was out of her mind, she rang John and Carolyn, who came straight away,to sit with me, and try to calm me down. ROS called the DOCTOR. She rang back within minutes, and was on the phone for almost an hour, talking me through everything and calming me down. Ros had to go to the Surgery to get some tablets, which I have to take one in the morning and one at bedtime.
I am feeling less stressed this morning, so they seem to be working. I have enough for a MONTH. Then Ros has to contact her again. to see if they need to be continued.
Needless to say I haven'r read any of the posts. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME while I go through the horrible episode of my life.
Love to you all. xxxx

Morning AnnG, Mel and all
Grey and not very warm here this morning. It’s a bit drizzly at the moment and the forecast is for showers for the rest of the day. It’s getting colder overnight as well now so I might soon have to look at bringing a few plants into the conservatory and covering a few others up at night.
I keep looking at the jobs that still need doing in the garden but between the weather and my bad foot I don’t feel much like getting out there. I think my mojo’s gone walkabout.
My foot was quite bad yesterday after my walk round the garden centre on Thursday so I decided I ought to do something about it. It’s 3 weeks today since I hurt it. I’ve heard terrible stories about trying to get a doctor’s appointment round here. Ours is a big practice with a lot of doctors and 5 surgeries but I know that they are at least 2 doctors short and have temporarily closed 2 of the surgeries, so I looked at their website to see what the situation is. I found an online consultation form, administered by a company called eConsult. It was quite a long form but I filled it all in and submitted it at 4.30 yesterday afternoon. Ten minutes later I got an email saying it had been sent to my practice and I would be contacted by them by 6.30 pm on Monday. Blow me, an hour later the phone went and it was a doctor from our practice. We discussed the problem and he thinks my foot and my ankle should be X-Rayed. He is sending the X-Ray request to the right department and I have to ring them Monday morning to be given my appointment. If the X-Rays don’t show anything then he’ll send me to physio. He very nicely and gently scolded me for not contacting them sooner. I was impressed with the service, given the current problems.
How is everyone else’s aches and pains? I hope all the bad backs are improving and Frank has had no more “turns” and AnnG’s face isn’t too sore. Thinking of our Jane as always <3
Gill, you will be busy helping Sandra learn to look after herself but I am sure you are doing the right thing. It will be good if she can live somewhere near you, then you will be able to see her regularly and keep an eye on her but she’ll be independent and you’ll both have your own space.
Something very odd has happened here. All I can see is the post I am typing and I can’t scroll up to see previous posts. I am going to submit this now before it disappears.

Things are moving along nicely with Sandra, her social worker rang her today and told her she needs to register on a website for her flat, so I'm going to help her with that tomorrow. In the meantime I'm teaching her how to do all the household jobs, so she's familiar with them when she's on her own. She also learning how to make a shopping list, do the shopping, cook her food and clean up after herself, so she's getting there. She still has lots more to learn so she's really busy working her way through everything with my help.

I am sure the extra fruit is helping son's budget Mandy. banana custard not had that for years used to love it when Mum made it. I am very lazy about making custard I'm afraid.
Stitches are out, a different nurse to the one I have had before and so much better, actually didn't feel a thing. Strangely while it didn't itch when the stitches were in it does now. Although it is probably the steri strips which she replaced. Hospital said to have steri strips to help the scar heal I look like a lopsided cat. :-D
