Ah Vera, so sorry your instinct was right. Sorry to hear about Oscar, I hope your daughter can gain comfort from her other two dogs. So sad to lose pets and seems worse when people are so stressed with all this virus stuff going on. <3 <3
Good morning all, very heavy rain here just now but eased off a bit now. Must be the dregs of the hurricane. Not going far today.

I put it on this thread Mel so that only people interested would come on to see when the funeral is as it may be that somebody might want to make a donation. I am pretty sure that is what Hannah wanted. But I only put the arrangements on not the whole email. It was not clear whether or not it was a general or personal email.

It seems to be one thing after another at the moment.
I had a Mum’s instinct over the last day or so that something was not right at my daughter’s. This evening I had a text to say her middle dog, the 7 year old schnauzer, has been ill for a week and in doggy hospital since Saturday. Today his kidneys failed completely and he had to be put to sleep this afternoon. She tried to ring me but couldn’t stop crying so texted. We’ve exchanged a few texts since then and she is calmer now and will ring me tomorrow. RIP Oscar

Sorry Vera thought I would do it before I forgot and was not sure how many people would receive it. Hannah is certainly well organised, what a lovely daughter she is. Oh I am sorry about your back, I do hope that won’t go on too long. Better put that shoe back on.
Yes T is getting answers in some pLaces but nobody seems over worried about the headaches Except us, he had a blinding one late afternoon that is only just easing. I am not convinced they are not Migraines.

You just beat me to it AnnG. I was about to put the same message up. It’s good that OH saw a doctor face to face. I know he’s still in pain and no wiser about the cause but he’s getting the all clear from different tests so they are gradually narrowing things down.
I am wondering if my back pain is due to my lopsided walking in the shoe after all. I’ve stopped wearing the shoe but the back seems to be getting worse instead of better. Added to that the foot pain is worse again because I’m not getting the relief the shoe was giving me.
Frank, I know it’s really hard to do but try not to get too upset by your anxiety attacks. I think you might be getting into a circle of having an attack because you are worrying about having one. Fingers crossed that next week’s hospital appointment will help you.

Message from hannah
thank you so much for your kind message.
I wanted to let you know the arrangements for mum's funeral - although current times mean that we are only able to have immediate family I wanted to share a little of the plan so that people can feel a part of it all in some way.
The funeral will be on Wednesday 4th November at 10:00 at Kettering Crematorium. We are having family flowers only but mum chose a couple of charities that people can make dedications/donations in her memory should they wish to:
Cransley Hospice Trust who supported mum and the family over the last few months. There is an option to take part in their 'Tree of Lights' event albeit virtually this year but provides an opportunity to donate and share a message if people wish to. https://cransleyhospice.dedicationpage.org/treeoflights?_ga=2.201157614.172880655.1603615778-1056346586.1603387511
Victim Support This is the charity mum volunteered with for 10 years and always held a special place in her heart https://www.victimsupport.org.uk/
There will be an order of service that I can forward/send on if that is something you would like but again all completely optional and I am planning on saying a few words which again I am happy to share should you wish.

I have been trying to help someone today with her tree.
Anng its good T has seen a doctor at last face to face but he still has'nt had ny explanation as to his headaches has he? Whats next? What he had in his 20's sound nasty but I suppose the scar would show up on his lung. I do hope he can get some relief soon.
Those pics from Ann were great were'nt they? She's a clever girl.
Frank have you had your meds changed since this overheating has started?? about the same time??

I found doing the paintings a bit stressful till they began to look something like, AnnG, then I started to enjoy doing all the refinements and finishing touches! More reassuring news from another doctor for your OH then, even though he still doesn't know what is the matter. It sounds like his thoughts on the x-ray could be right. The homework this week is to finish a little painting we started in the lesson, practice shading boxes using only one colour, by building up layers to lower the tone. Also to do a painting using single or 2 point perspective! I'd never heard of it, but it's putting temporary pencil lines on your paper to help get things like the angles of buildings right and make things smaller as they go into the distance!
They are really horrid aren't they Frank. I can remember thinking did I want to live the rest of my life at one time. The trouble is having them makes you anxious about having more which doesn't help either. Try doing the slow deep breathing for 5 minutes every half hour. It just might lower your anxiety levels enough to prevent some. Worth a try.
I have a stack of washing to do but it's forecast more rain for tomorrow so it will have to wait again.

Ann love the paintings, did you enjoy doing them, I will say it again, you are talented. what is the homework this week?
Frank that does sound like a reaction to a medication, the overheating I mean. One of the meds that daughter is on maybe one of her diabetes 2 meds or the post breast cancer one makes her have hot flushes. Which is exactly what you are describing. Same as ladies have in the menopause.
well we or rather OH has just been to actually see a doctor, another different one from the three he has spoken to on the phone. This time he wanted his throat and ears checked. He has felt that he has a lot of mucus in his throat that occasionally makes him choak/cough and that is really painful on hid back. She checked his throat, said that there was a bit of mucus bit not enough to worry about, and she looked down his throat no problems there either. Checked his ears nothing wrong that she could see. He asked again about the scan and Xray. scan was clear, nothing to be seen that would cause headaches, with the Xray it said further investigation might be necessary and he then had a thought. when he was in his 20s he had a lung collapse due to a sort of bubble that burst on the lung, he was in Haslar RN hospital for 2 weeks but it healed and caused no problems since. so it is probably a scar showing that is causing questions.

Boy oh Boy, These ANXIETY ATTACTS are something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
I have been having them all afternoon. I keep going to the conservatory door and standing sucking in the cold air. My body then gets so cold, that I have to put a jumper on.
I have just seen Barry, and mentioned it to him. He says, his daughter suffers with them also. Her doctor has put her on a medication, that seems to help a little. She says that sometimes she feels she could just walk into the road, and get hit by a LORRY. Thank goodness I am not as bad as that.
I am on my SEVENTH BOTTLE OF WATER TODAY. No wonder I keep wanting to go to the loo. :-D :-D :-D.
Ros was going to the hospital again this afternoon, regarding the infection. They will then go to Tesco, then home.
The stew is ticking away on a low heat and smells lovely, not that I am feeling hungry. I was going to make some dumplings, but can't be bothered. I'm sure Ros won't be that bothered without them.
Off to COOL DOWN again. I hope the hospital can offer some help when I go next week.

Afternoon All,
Miserable and rainy here today so I am keeping my paintbrushes company and starting this week's homework from yesterday's class. I will send a pic of last week's still life that I did.
Frank Vera is so right about this company and that is a large cut they want for just filling in a form for you and is better in your pocket than theirs!!! People used to get caught just the same with getting E111 health abroad forms. I'm surprised you haven't already done this before as I did mention it on here when it was brought in.
0300 200 3300 is the HMRC phone number if you prefer to do it by phone, but it is Ros as the non taxpayer that will need to make the call and have both your NINOs handy. Ring early as expect the lines may be busy.
This overheating does sound excessive. Do any of your (new) medications say they cause it? That was weird getting up to do a birthday invites list in the night.
Yes I was surprised about the potato dish Mel and can only think it must already have been frozen. The trouble with them not sending what you want is that you start to overstock things once you can get them which causes more shortages..

AnnG, Frank mistyped the phone number. it’s 0333. They are a genuine company based in Ancoats, Manchester. I checked Carwood Accountancy on the Companies House site. It’s not a scam but I think it’s a bit immoral. They are making a lot of money from people who don’t realise they can easily do the same thing themselves for free.

Frank I checked the phone number on google. This is what I got
0332, Phone Number, UK
0332 is a fake telephone number. Avoid unintentionally using real phone numbers by selecting from our range of fictitious telephone numbers. You can find other random phone numbers in the list below. Please note that all numbers generated by Fake Number, including 0332, are fake so won't work for phone number verification.
If you have been contacted by 0332, you ought to be extremely cautious about answering their calls. The caller ID has almost certainly been spoofed with an officially reserved number, either as part of an elaborate prank or worse yet, a malicious scam. Be vigilant and don't let fraudsters con you out of your money. Don't accept any calls or text messages from 0332!
I think this might well be a scam. The company is not mentioned anywhere that I can find.

Frank, stay away from this. Companies like this one take a lot of money for doing something you can easily do yourself for free. You will be able to do it on the HMRC website.
The marriage tax allowance is where one partner who doesn’t pay tax transfers part of their tax free allowance to the other partner and they can then save about £250 a year in tax. It can now be backdated 4 or 5 years and that’s where this £1,188 comes from.
I don’t pay tax so I transferred part of my allowance to OH when this perk first came out. It took me a few minutes to fill in the form on the HMRC website and cost me nothing. If you don’t feel confident doing it perhaps Simon or Harvey could sort it out for you. Just make absolutely sure you are on the official government site.
Good luck :-)

I need a little help from my FRIENDS.
Have any of you come across a COMPANY called :- TAX ALLOWANCE AWARENESS They have a contact Telephone Number 0332 412930 and trade as CARLOAD ACCOUNTANCY Limited
They supposedly arrange to get you Marriage Allowance refunds. Out of curiosity I completed an on line form. It would appear to be legitimate. They do the "DONKEY WORK" and take 35/45% commission. Meaning that you get something over £800.00. They do not (they say) require any Bank details. They send you a cheque once they receive the refund from HMRC.
Any help here would be appreciated . THANKS.

Morning Anng and all,
Sounds like our weather is the same as yours, drizzle and a bit of a wind so its blowing under the covered bit outside the back door.
All ready for the big wipe down today except I hav'nt got my socks on yet.
Sounds like you have all been busy in the garden cutting down and tidying away ready for the winter. I still have my tom plants inthe shed and they still have toms on them and they are still ripening so thats good. Oh has the plastic boxes ready to go out on the step when the shopping arrives and has cleared all the worktops so I only have to go around with the anti bac.
Anng if there had been anything badly wrong with T's scan they would have got in touch much sooner but it is a problem that they are not coming up with some kind of diognosis (sp) for the actual trouble why he has these headaches. Hope the Antibiotics work and make sure he takes the whole lot for them to work properly.
Vera what a shame your trip out in the car was troubled by road works and dismal weather after a nice start but it was a break and made you glad to be back home. Hope R is satified when he puts the bathroom cabinet up again as it can be so annoying if you notice its wonky I know I would be.
Ann I was going to say about the potato dishes that they can't be frozen. I was surprised about that when I had my ones. They have substituted oh's coffee this week and he has tried this one before and dos'nt ike it so that will be going back. We have peppered steak slices instead of chicken and bacon and a fruit loaf instead of hot cross buns. I find it always bad when the children are off school too. Having it on a Tuesday too I find things have been delivered to the stores by the time my order is picked on a Monday night and the regular slot charge is cheaper too than the weekend.
Frank I am sure Ros will be pleased with all her work of planting those bulbs in the Spring when they all start to flower. Sorry your still having these attacks. Do you still use the cream you were given instead of the injections in your botty?
