It would probably ok to eat if its cooked Anng. If I break one I micto it and feed it to the birds. Did one this morning as I put my finger through one yesterday whilst wiping it. Which reminds me its still in the micro.

Ooh yes my Mum used to make suet bacon and onion roll, she would serve it with cauliflower and white sauce. Never cooked it myself though. Wouldn't be much good at the moment I would have to eat almost a whole one.

Luckily I spotted it so will get a refund but one of my eggs was cracked this morning. Would you cook and eat it? Not sure it was inside a plastic egg box. instinct says it would be ok to eat.

Boiled onion rll sounds nice frank can we come to dinnner please?

Mum used to make that but with bacon. I have made it in the past but not recently. Now I fancy one.................

Time for a pill before lunch so I better go and get it ready.

I had a walk up the border this morning and around the garden as I had left my two pronged fork up there and me kneeler stool thing. Both in the shed now out of the rain. I kept meaning to bring them down in the back of the car when I went out but forgot everytime I drove past them. Heads like a sive lately. :-(

FRank of course you can come on here for assurance and to vent your feelings any time. We all do it, as we get older we are not so surrounded by family and friends unfortunately. I too only have my OH and sometimes our lovely neighbour to talk to so do understand. As Island says no shame at all in needing help with mental health. You, like many of us have suffered this very strange year of Covid19 which has thoroughly disrupted all our lives and made many of us feel quite fearful. I hope the pills you were given and the reassurance of your lovely doctor will continue to help you.

Island supplements an be good when you can't get fresh so go for ir.

Well, once again my shopping was early, this time with no warning, half an hour early, I was just about ready for him but OH was only just up and wandering around with all his breakfast stuff just where I needed to get so it was a bit of a hastle at first. then he stayed out of my way until I had almost finished then devide his back was locking so I was needed to go and massage his back (through his clothes like physio does apparently. Then it was back to Tesco shop to finish ogg the non food stuff. I had one or two Christmas gifts in with the shopping including a lovel child on a unicorn set which was half price and just right for Inara.

apparently the reason he was early was because the previous person was unable to pay for their shopping. That confused me as I thought they wouldn't load it if you had not paid. All I could think was the card had been refused this morning. He said it was the second this week. Sad isn't it?

Mel and Island, THANKS for your positive remarks. It's nice to know I can vent my feelings without upsetting anyone.

Pam and Denis have had a MASSIVE conservatory built. Now the plaster's and electricians are here finishing off. before being decorated. Both Ros and I would love one, but on our pension, there is no way we could afford one. BUT it's nice to dream.

Ros is making a BOILD ONION ROLL for tonights dinner. Suet pastery, stewing beef, and onions, Wrapped up in Greaseproof paper, then in a clean tea towel, and boiled for a few hours. That will be a nice change, as we haven't had one for ages. Mashed potatoes, mashed swede, and cabbage. Won't want anything after that.

It has turned very chilly, which suited me, but now I need a JUMPER on, as I am going to read my book in the conservatory. It's a bit too chilly out there with our either the heating on or a jumper.

As I haven't eaten anything yet this morning, I might get Ros to make ne a coccee and a sandwich , with a little bag of crisps.

Just looked on "FACEBOOK" snd they are showing my dear departed Brother Bill, asking to request "A FRIEND" I have contacted FB and asked them to remove it.

See you soon. xxxx

Morning Mel
I think I've missed the boat with kale and spinach. I don't really like either, except for some Kale hearts(?) but as I'm told both are good for sun damage in eyes I thought home grown would be rather better than bought. Looks like I'll be going for supplements instead.

Frank, there's no shame in going to a mental health hospital - if indeed it comes to that. They are there to mend people just like broken bones and other ailments are made better. You may have gone into a bit of a tail spin now as a reaction to help finally being on the horizon.
Deep breaths. You will come out of this. <3

We are always here for you to vent your feeling on Frank. Don't worry about annoying us as we all understand you need to talk to someone whenever. Try to relax and keep up the deep breathing. Sending love and wishes. <3

Frank Report 30 Oct 2020 10:29

Good morning to all,

I managed to get hold of the surgery after a to of engaged phone lines. I told them I was coming up NOW and needed to see a doctor. I was shown into the waiting room, and within seconds the Doctor called me in. It's was my favourite Dr. She was very concerned of how I was, and held my hand and talked to me for ages. She got me breeding deeply and counting ONE to TEN out load. She has prescribed another tablet. I had one as soon as I got home, and it settled me down a great deal. I only had a small Ham, cheese nd tomato sandwich to eat. That was the first all day. I took another tablet at 9.30 and went to bed. I slept right through until 6.30 this morning.

The tablets that the Dr has prescribed, has been given to Ros, who has complete control of when I can have one.I have had another this morning, after more ATTACKS. The doctor send Ros and I into the waiting room, while she spoke to a MENTAL HEALTH person, who I will be seeing next week. I just hope they can help me through this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I feel so weak, and just can't control the shakes, and these horrid feelings. I can see me being sent to the local Mental Health Hospital, if I don't get control of things.

I'm so SORRY unloading my problems on to you, but apart from Ros I have no one to unload my feelings. What would I do without you, at this terrible time.

Going out to the patio, to cool down, and do my deep breathing, and counting one to ten, while deep breathing.

Stay safe, my dear friends. xxxx

AnninGlos Report 30 Oct 2020 08:14

good morning all, good morning Dermot, nice to see you on here. Age is just a number. quite a big one in my case!!!

Wet here again, I really want a dry day to sort out the garden. Had quite a good night but awake early. I think OH is stirring so better go and check. BBL

Dermot

Dermot Report 30 Oct 2020 06:56

Old age is just something you grow into at a maximum rate of 60 minutes per hour. The first roots of decay are beginning to plant themselves – ironically often starting with the roots… the roots of my hair and a small drop of brown or black to keep the grey away.

I don’t talk as much about age these days except to reminisce in articles like this one. Birthdays aren’t particularly marked except for the odd birthday card and my age is vaguely passed off until the Senior Citizens Bus Pass appeared on the doormat.

I have put some batterys on charge that have been waiting on my desk for yonks but the windows need cleaning now bt thats a job for tomorrow.

I can't wait to see this gingerbread house your making Mandy it sounds intriguing with smoke coming out of the chimney. Is it going to have crochet sweets on it too and candy canes around the door?

Ann i am sorry i meant to say how lovely your still life paintings are , the markings on the apples ...makes you want to pick them up and eat them they look so real .
The other one with the onion is lovely too ,you certainly can paint and i wish i could do the same but mine would look like some thing a child had painted i know it would .
Oh no you don't want your undies on show for everyone to see :-D

Oh Frank it seems to be when Ros is out when you have a really bad attack and just when you need some one with you ,i hope the doctor can help this afternoon .

AnnG it seems the appointment went well for OH then and then going into the garden centre was good it must have been nice for you both to get out even if you couldn't get the bulbs you wanted .

What a dreary old day it's been we haven't done a thing ,just had a day of rest after yesterdays log carting .

Annx Report 29 Oct 2020 15:51

Oh dear Frank I do understand and didn't like to alarm you before but mine would start small and build up to a big one and it was terrifying. It's a feeling like no other isn't it. If you are like me they should start to ease up a bit now. You will need to do all the hospital suggest though and try not get stressed about things. OH has just told me to tell you that you will have to keep working at it, particularly the breathing, as it took him a few years. He suggests you get one of the self help books.

Well, the washer is on the second load, but OH has decided to put the 'smalls' on the radiators instead of put them outside tomorrow. He made me smile as he said he was being careful where he put them, as he has an online meeting later and didn't want them on view for all to see on the laptop camera! lol. :-D

I don't like the idea I had for my picture yesterday so it's back to the drawing board again!

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 29 Oct 2020 14:57

I wondered that about Frank being on his own a lot.

The violas will look nice when you get the chance to get them in. They do say better weather next week.

Little and often then for T.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 29 Oct 2020 14:54

Vera its just a thought but have you a pair of shoes that has a higher heel then most you wear. If you wore that on the good foot it may help level out the difference between the boot support when you walk about.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Oct 2020 14:28

Mel most of the violas are for two troughs that fit into a box OH made for them over a drain cover in the front garden to the side of the drive. But that will have to wait until the blessed rain has stopped.

Island I do keep mentioning that the lack of substantial food is behind some of OH's problems. But it is not obtinacy that stops him eating, he wants to eat but after a while he feels the food gets stuck in his throat. until he 'unlocks' that feeling he won't eat more than small portions.

Frank do you think that the panic attacks happen subconsciously because you are on your own? I hope you can get some answers.

Frank

Frank Report 29 Oct 2020 13:56

Have just had a terrible PANIC ATTACK. I can't phone the GP as they don't open until 2.30. I have a call back from them at 4.40 pm That I didn't know about. I spoke with them this morning, that's when they told me. I have been onto 111 for help on what to do about these attacks, NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. So will ring the GPs at 2.30 rather than wait until 4.40 pm.

Ros is out having her nails done, so I am on my own. It's always the way, when I need help there's no-one around. I am on my 4th bottle of water, and still have a craving thirst.

Going outside to get COLD. I might feel a bit better then.
