Not too bad a night, managed about 5+ hours sleep then a bit og dozing, trouble is that is when you start to think and worry. Two main worries, has OH managed to find somehow he can re-charge his phone (he hasn't got the charger with him. Hopefully somebody has a universal charger. Second worry is more important. Is he still likely to lose the feeling in his legs which is why he has started to fall. This being a worry because we live in a house where the stairs go off the landing across the top of the stairs, and the opening to the stairs is right in the middle opposite the door to bathroom, between the two main bedrooms.Frightened if he loses his balance there he will fall down the stairs. |

I am sure you are anxious Ann but focus on the positives. He’s been telling the medical people how he feels but in hospital they will be able to see for themselves how T. is and what’s happening with him and can then maybe start him on the road to recovery. I am sure they will take good care of him. |

Ann mum made things on the polystyrene balls and egg shapes with pins material and sequins they looked very good. It was when she made things for the guide dogs for the blind. We used to have a Xhristmas fair in the scouts hut round the corner from us when we lived in Redbridge and my son was small and in the cubs. He always helped on the stalls too. |

Vera yes we have come to the conclusion that Cynth misheard and it is urology. The line was quite bad when she spoke to the nurse, and I couldn't hear her at all. I actually spoke to OH on my Iphone and could hear him clearly although there was an aggravating time lag. When the time comes Cynth will probably take me to pick him up. I am sort of hoping that they will keep him in until tomorrow and tackle a few more of the things that are wrong. However, they are not generally etaining people in the hospitals at the moment and I really don't want him catching the virus. |

Island you are the first person in years that I have heard knows about Cabbage. Thats what mum and I used to sell. For anyone who does'nt know what it is, when a manufacturer is given so much material to make say two dozen dresses if he can get another 6 out of that material it is sold without the labels in and thats Cabbage. Just an example. We used to get lots that did have the lables in though. Good makes too. |

AnnG I’m glad you have at least had contact with the hospital and have spoken to OH. Are you sure they said Neurology and not Urology? Words do sound different on the phone and Urology would make sense for a catheter fitting. |

You made me laugh Island when you said your dog barks at people passing by to make them jump :-D Sorry to hear he has some anxiety and needs you around, he must love you very much, some dogs are like that though, at least you're around more now with lockdown, so that should make him feel more relaxed. |

Hospital just phoned but I couldn't hear so Cynth phoned back, nurse said they were sending him to neurology. However. OH just phoned me (and I could hear ok on the Iphone. He is waiting for transport as neurology is at Cheltenham (currently he is at gloucester Royal,) goodness knows when he will finish there but the reason he is going to Cheltenham is to have a catheter fitted as the one at Gloucester didn't work. So I am not sure why that is in neurology. He is going to phone again when he knows more when he is finished at Cheltenham. I suspect it will be a long wait for transport. I hope they have got him dressed now as he only has underpants and a long sleeved pyjama top on. |

They just don't work from standard block sizes Mel, haven't done for years. Then there's the shifting of layouts to get more out of the fabric by factories to produce some 'cabbage' for themselves. |

It all depends on the make of clothes as to the sizes. I was in the rag trade for years when younger and first married. Mum and I worked from home so I could take baby with me when I went to mums to work. He had a cot there and playpen and everything I would need so it worked out well. Cheaper makes were always smaller than they should have been. I suppose the cheaper ones were teens clothes and they went out of fashion quickly so it did'nt matter if they did'nt last long like better makes. |
