Tree is in position and all lit up now I have to get all the baubles and the fairy on top.
Hannah's due date is 15th December so not far away now. Hope all goes very well for mum and baby. I wonder what names they have chosen?
Its been really cold here today and sun and raining at times. The Asda order was really late and we have the road workmen out the front of the village hall and all down the road.
Belated birthday wishes to Katie and hope she's not too full of that lovely cake. <3

Do feel happier so far with him in this hospital, besides the fact it feels closer to me. The doctor seemed very nice apparently and from what she said I am hopeful she is going to look at why he still has back pain.
My friend who works in the hospital who took the photos in managed to also collect his laundry which the ward double bagged, then Joanne added another bag and insisted on taking it round the back for me so I could collect it when I had put gloves on and then leave it a couple of days in the unheated conservatory. For two days I have done all that, thrown the glove scrubbed my hands and used antibacterial. Hopefully I have done enough.

Thanks Vera I'll keep an eye out for it and put it away for Christmas day for Sandra.
I hope you hear about your OH soon AnnG, it must be a worry not knowing what's going on, at least you know it's because of the ward being busy and not that they have forgotten.
Thanks for letting us know about Fitz Ann, It can't be to long now to Hannah's due date.
Busy putting up the Christmas tree I see Mel.
Take it easy Frank, I hope you feel better soon.
Happy belated birthday to Katie, Mandy, did she enjoy her chocolate cake.

It might be a long haul AnnG but that all sounds encouraging and it sounds as though they are looking after him as well as they can. He’ll appreciate your cards and photos. I hope the doctor’s call to your daughter has relieved your mind a little bit and you get a good night’s rest.
Sorry to hear you are still in some pain Frank but thanks for popping in.

AnnG, well that's a relief for you even though some way to go. I can't believe you were told your OH was covid positive without the fuller picture! What a night of extra worry they have given you. Poor chap must be stir crazy after all this time. I think doctors are a little too honest sometimes - I passed out when I was told the details and risks of my eye op prior to going into theatre, as if I was going to say 'no thanks' :-|

Female doctor just made contact with daughter. She said OH does not have any symptoms of covid, no cough, temp or anything. They have put him on a short course of steroids. She said their main concern was his loss of mobility and condition and their aim is to get him mobile again with a view to getting him home. Of course covid will have an input in that as I am not sure how long after a positive test they are still infectious.
She also said sometimes he is lucid and sometimes he is confused but he knows where he is and why.

Good boy Frank for letting us know your ok although still in pain.
Ann you have to send things back on the day they are delivered and they refund you for the items returned. You can't send them back the next week. They send me a list of the order on the day of delivery ans what is subbed on there so you can refuse them and the driver will take them back.
Its good to know Chris is going to Fitz's each day. I wonder if James is still working from home? I know they can both cook so they should be doing ok. So sad to think Jane will never see her dear little grandson. I know she has been waiting for years to have grandchildren. She'll be looking down on him I know.
Oh is just putting the Christmas tree together for me so I better go and help.

I am hoping that Lyn can get more info tomorrow after the doctor has been round. It must be difficult, the nurse told daughter that it is a really busy ward and it can't be helped that patients are toing and froing between hospitals.
I have just put photos of this years cottage display on the photo blog.
I have also just put together a card and an insert card with 6 photos attached so he has something to look at.

The weather is much like Mandy’s. Cold and foggy. It looked as though it was starting to clear here too but now seems to be closing in again.
I hope your daughter can get some answers for you AnnG. It’s a positive that OH is not on oxygen. I’m thinking of you both.
Thank you for your pretty card Mel. I have now got the last of my cards posted and OH took a little package to the post this morning for you Gill. It’s just a very small gift for Sandra that I thought she might like and a card for you.
Wipe down day for me too Mel though my order isn’t huge this time. There’s one thing they haven’t got and I have said not to sub so that will be missing, and one sub that I’m happy with. This is Sainsbury’s and I also have Tesco deliveries. I get very few subs with either of them but friends that have Asda seem to get a lot. I wonder why.
I hope your bruises are fading a bit now Frank and your ribs are less tender.
I had a haircut this morning. This was the appointment I should have had 3 weeks ago so I was glad to get a tidy-up. I’ve made an appointment for 6 weeks time in the hope that we won’t be back in lockdown. As we were out anyway I went into Waitrose to get some Christmas crackers. Everyone was masked and using the sanitizer and behaving very properly but it was so busy that it was near impossible to really keep a good distance so I just got the couple of bits on my list and got out quick. No browsing for me these days!
I’d better get us some lunch now so we have time to eat it before Sainsbury’s arrive. Enjoy the rest of your day whatever you are doing and stay safe.

Morning All,
I hope Katie had a nice birthday and enjoyed her lovely cake yesterday. Belated :-D <3HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE <3 :-D.
Weak sunshine getting brighter here. I slept well and was awake from just after 7.00am when the bin men arrived with all their clatter, flashing lights and bleepers. They have gone back to garden bin collection again now.
Glad you at least had some sleep Anng and I hope the hospital can give you an update on T today. The local news update email I get each day said today that there have been covid outbreaks at the city hospitals here, but they have been unable to get details of where or how many.
OH is on a conference on zoom so lunch will be later today. F&C today with a cauliflower bake and peas so nice and easy and won't take long. :-)
Glad you got your 2 wreaths finished Mel. I still haven't put our little trees up yet. I'd better get cracking though as tomorrow we have to empty the garage freezer and turn it around, ready for the new one to be delivered on Thursday and stand next to it. May your wipe down be speedy today! How do you send things back to Asda? Do you just leave them out in your bags for them to take back next time they come?
Fitz has got back to me and will let me know the details when he has them about Hannah and Gareth's baby and I can pass them on to you. Hannah might not think of it when she has other priorities looking after the baby! He said that Chris and the family are coping very bravely and better than he thought he would. He said Chris has been calling in every week for a chat and glass of wine which is good too. I hope the new baby when he arrives will give them all some happiness in their grief.
I hope Frank is feeling better today with his poor bruised ribs..
My cards will be in the post today.
Better get the dusters out now! :-S

Morning Mandy, Anng and all,
Bright morning here and I don't think we had a frost. Last night we had frost then when I went out again it was gone and then later it was back again and just before bed it was raining.
Mandy I may have a go at that but maybe not quite yet with Christmas looming I have a lot of things to do. Not got the tree up yet. I have finished the two rings though so they are out of the way.
Glad you got some well earned sleep last night Anng and hope you hear something from T or the hospital today. They must realise you are worried and on your own you'd think they could give you some info on T's progress. Sendng love. <3
Big wipe down today so I am waiting for it to arrive and get it all put away. Lots of subs which will be going back. I ordered some dates and they have sent whitworths packet dates. A pizza dough and they sent jusroll shortcrust pastry, the coleslaw is ok and the trimmed sprouts and they have changed Haywards piccalli for Asda's one.
Hope Franks ok today and his bruises are healing and he is feeling better.

Morning all,
Very foggy and frosty again ,the fog had started to clear but it looks like it's getting thick again.
Hope you hear some thing from the hospital today AnnG you must be very worried and i hope you managed to get some sleep last night as he must be on your mind as to what's going on ,take care <3
Mel you could easily unpick if it's a little bit to big ,if you turn it inside you'll see where I've finished off as I went over and over ,keep unthreading and pull a square or two back then sew back up ,you need to have right side facing when you sew up ,just nip the two right sides and push them together so they go one over the other if that makes sense .

I'm so sorry to hear Tony has tested positive for Covid and hope he recovers soon AnnG and he hasn't got another infection making him confused.
My OH being a care worker is suppose to be having the Covid vaccine sometime this week, he's a bit nervous about it with him being one of the first to have it, but the doctor told him it doesn't give you the virus so that's something I suppose. I'm very worried and will be glad when it's over.
No e-card here Frank, did you send it to my old email? I don't use that one, could you send it to my new one please? I hope you are feeling better after your fall.
Love the birthday cake Mandy, that's the type of cake Sandra loves, you know what she's like for a chocolate birthday cake.
Sandra has just missed Santa going down our street and she was looking forward to it, we were watching Emmerdale and I heard him so she ran to the front window but he had just passed by, she tried to take a photo but it's not very good, so she's really disappointed now. When we checked online earlier for the time he was going down our street it said 8.30pm. It's a good job I heard him or she'll have missed him altogether.

Yes Mandy I wore it to do the girls. Its a little too big as I have a small head (no brains!) so I may sew some shearing elastic in it on the inside. Its lovely and warm and I like the twist just to the side as oh said I looked like a cleaning lady in it. I am a cleaning lady..... It even fitted under my fleece hat after a bit of a struggle as that rides up so my ears were lovely and warm. Just love the colour.
Must get the sausage and mash on.

The confusion could well be another infection ,how frustrating it must be for you though AnnG not to be able to speak to the doctors face to face and ask what's going to be done.
Oh Mel I'm glad it's arrived at last ,I thought it might keep your ears warm when you go out to feed the girls .

yes it would. I suppose it depends how confused he is. As he still has a catheter I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have another infection. which causes confusion

O Anng I am so sorry this has happened to poor T as you say you have both been so safe at home all these months and now he's in hospital and he's caught it. Oh always says its not hospital you want to be in in this pandemic. Its a lovely idea for him to have photos to know you are always thinking of him. Sending you a gentle ((hug)) stay strong and carry on. <3 <3
Mandy thank you so much for the little gift I am sitting here typing with it on. Love the colour you know I love green and mauve. I have been using the gloves you knitted ofr me a year or so back. and the card is lovely. Thank you once again.
Vera thanks for your card too which arrived this morning with Mandy's and a few others. I nearly have a full card string now.
Edit:- forgot to post this !!!! Sorry <3
