I think tomorrow is supposed to be a hot one but (Muggy).Don't think I will do much if it is like that. Mel that vision in my window will give me nightmares tonight !!!!!! He does go a bit OTT sometimes :-S I just have to put up with it lol
Frank you probably did your knee good today by resting up in your lounger. I agree about TV being rubbish ,but I do like my Wimbledon .So good that our girl won her match today :-D Just seen on the news that the Rolling Stones have been on stage at Glastonbury and kicked off with 'Jumping Jack Flash'.I am going to try my best and stay up until Glastonbury is on so I can see them . :-D

I did pop in this monring Jane.
Been doing this and that all day. Been up the tunnel twice and my tank needed filling but we could'nt get any water out the well. Oh fixed the hose up from down the house and filled the tank for me but it was a bit late to water the tunnel so I will do it first thing in the morning.
When we were eating tonight we had the deer come through the garden again. she went round the back of the box hedge but I don't think she liked the caravan so came back along my border and across the garden and out the big arch. I got a couple of pics through the window.
David so nice to hear from you. I hope it is good news when you see the specalist and you get that contraption off your leg at last. You will be glad to see the back of it and get a better nights sleep, I hope.

No mist or moist here today Mel.Sun and cloud and humid, with a very gentle breeze. I managed to stay up last night and I absolutely loved the Stones performance. :-D :-D My goodness Mick still can move those hips and do his strut.I had to laugh though at Charlie Watts on the drums. His Face !!!!!!!!... So it was gone midnight when I went up to bed still rocking lol
I'm going out the front now to finish of pulling up the Bluebells that have all died back now and look a terrible mess.
I bet Fiona is getting excited now for the visit later :-D

Morning all/Evening Kim,
Been up since the crack of dawn, Couldn't sleep with my knee. Ros slept till 9.30. By the time she got up I had read the Sunday paper and a chapter of my book !!
Have got doors and windows open with a nice breeze blowing through.
All veg done for this evening. Just got to make Yorkshire and cheese (do you want some JANE ??)
Jan was coming today for dinner, but she rang to say she was having a quiet day at home.
Her daughter Kerry, did the THREE PEAKS CLIMB over the weekend, she finishes tonight I think on BEN NEVIS. I believe she has had a reasonable weekend weather wise. Better her than me. :-D :-D
I'm off for a shower and shave now, then make the pudding and sauce..
The Grand Prix starts at 12.10 so Ros can watch that while I read in the garden.

Frank,it's too HOT for a roast today .I'm just doing Pasta,Garlic bread and salad. I had cheese sauce with my cauliflower the other night.Delicious....I just don't think it goes with Roast dinner so thanks but no thanks I will give your kind offer a miss :-D
It is blooming hot and sticky.I'm not going to do anything this afternoon.I finished my weeding and went to Tes**.I think that is enough for today :-D. I have just made Strawberry Jelly and chucked a load of Strawbs in .Chris thought I was mad...Why did I want to make a Jelly !!!!!(he hates it).James and I will polish it off I'm sure. I have the big fan on blowing in the lounge. Its bliss.Last night I woke at about 2.30 sweating buckets.Chris had shut the windows :-S :-S :-S.So I opened up a few and disturbed him, then the birds made their usual racket at dawn.Chris was a bit of a misery when he got up lol.If he insists on windows shut (because of the birds) then I will have the fan on all night :-P Sorry your poor knee kept you awake .I reckon you will be in line for a new one.
Well done to Jan's daughter doing the 3 peaks.I do admire folk who have the energy and oomph to do those things.Put me to shame thats for sure.If I tried something like that it would be the Rescue helicopter being called to hoist me off the mountain :-S
Tesc* was heaving .Not a small trolley to be had at all.Everyone was buying Rolls,Charcoal, and BBQ food plus boxes and boxes of beer . I'm going to take a couple of pics of some things in the garden now .If they turn out ok I will pass them on.

I took a piece of beef out of the freezer for today but it's to hot to have the oven on and with having the big breakfast i don't think we will want it ,so i'll cook that tomorrow .

It has taken for ever to get on here. If you tried more than 30 pages at a time the ERROR notice came up, to say the least the air has been BLUE.
What an idiot I am (NO COMMENT) I thought the match was last night NO it's tonight.
I have been sitting in the garden reading. The breeze is so nice, it's fresh and warm. Just popped in to get a cold Cok#
I have the Grand prix on, and just heard about all the tyre trouble. Hamilton has come from 14th to 7th
Mandy, I think I will come and see you for breakfast on a Sunday. I doubt they will want to eat again till this evening.
I won't cook till 6.30/7.00 tonight When I am sure we will both be ready for it !!!
At night we tend to leave the little windows open at the top of the frame, nobody could get in there, not even a child. I know it's difficult living in a bungalow., to sleep with the window's open, but with Security lights and back gate locked, I think we are safe,
I see you are upsetting Chris again Jane, you are NAUGHTY. :-D :-D :-D What's this getting your own back .lol lol

Afternoon Everyone,
Cloudy here, a little rain and very windy, but muggy, not really very nice,
Church was very quiet this morning, probably lots of families are away on there holls now the schools have closed,
Looking forward to the family coming down and all the cuddles that are over due, Victoria is not all that well, has asked me to get the hot water bottle ready for when she arrives, seems like she has a chill and not got a lot of energy, I think it was hard work to deal with the heat some days as it was exhausting , then the last week they were there it cooled down considerably and Victoria could not get warm also the temp in the plane was very cold, hopefully she will pick up soon,
Chicken for dinner, and I made a fresh fruit salad yesterday for sweet and put it in the fridge it always tastes better the next day.

Mandy I tried to imagine me skipping across that stage!!!!!! The mind boggles lol The stage would most likely collapsed I was just thinking about the days when I was a little girl (I was once) and on a nice day like today before we had Patios and Patio tables and chairs ,it would be a picnic on the lawn.No BBQs .Sandwiches ,boiled eggs, little sausages ,or sausage rolls. How times have changed !!.It was all very simple back then.Sometimes Mum would make up a picnic and we would go in the car up to the moor.We would find a nice spot ,and out would come the travelling rug, making sure it wasn't put down on top of sheep poo or horse poo.The little Dartmoor Ponies would be all around us .It was heaven.Sometimes Janice and I would be able to stroke the ponies as they would be a bit inquisitive (probably looking at the food). It was only a few miles from where we lived then so it was quite a regular outing.Oh happy days :-D :-DThe Ice Cream van would be parked up at Yelverton so at the end of the day we would have our 99's or a wafer.Mum liked the wafers best.I think Dad had the Cornet.
Mandy that was some breakfast you cooked today for all the family. They probably won't want much else today.

It was the track on the corner that was the trouble with the tyres.
What a grand prix. Did'nt Hamilton do well to finish in 4th place after that first blow out. I was so disappointed. Would have liked to have seen Hamilton win this one.
I had a hell of a job to get on here this morning after doing my first post to see what you had written since I turned off yesterday. I tried the usual ten pages for three goes then going to 10 pages but it was'nt having any of it toda. The Error page came up so many times I gave up for a while and went and did something else.
Banty is on the eggs two weeks today so only another week to wait. Must go and get some chick crumbs just in case.
Jane Charlie Watts lives in Dalton and he gave a lot of money to have the bells done up in the church there. We won a competion there at Dalton for the novice ringers. Went to the pub and had a meal after. Charlie was'nt in there that night.

I don't watch Motor Racing, but yes good that Hamilton did well. It is too hot for me outside so hence I'm a chatterbox on here today lol. Mel where is Dalton?
Fitz should be setting sail now from Plymouth. If it is weather like this it will be great, but maybe a little choppy on the water once the ferry gets out passed the Breakwater.
Fiona I hope Victoria isn't going down with something.Maybe she is just shattered after what must have been a hectic stay in Italy. Rachel (Dubai ) and family fly out to their new lives in South Africa next week.I certainly don't envy her travelling with her 2 little ones.It is a very long flight ,and she will be worrying about their 2 dogs .They will be flown out a day later I think.I always hate to think of animals in the hold in cages or crates ,not understanding what on earth is happening :-(.Hopefully they will be sedated a bit and will sleep.
Mandy other than boiled eggs there were always the spam or corned beef sandwiches or meat paste(GROSS).Were sandwiches wrapped in greaseproof paper then?.I think we thought is was exciting when Dairyle* Triangles came out :-D I think Mum always packed serviettes too for a picnic. Not paper ones either. Janice and I knick named her (in later years) Hyacinth as in Mrs Bouquet :-D :-D

Afternoon All,
Another hot humid one, but there's a bit of breeze here now which is nice. Thanks for all the garden pics, everyone's garden is looking so good now. Frank your veg patch looks good as does Jane's. Mandy your little greenhouse is doing really well, your cue plants are as big as mine is! What a yummy breakfast.......!!
I would love to have seen the Stones too. Mick does lots of exercise including ballet and is careful with his diet I think! I have never done ballet but a friend used to do the exercises to keep trim when she was older.
Fitz has certainly had nice weather for his trip. Jane how on earth does Chris sleep with windows shut when it's this hot?? :-0 We do the same as you Frank and leave the small windows open that won't open wide enough for anyone to get in. It is more difficult with a bungalow, but at least you don't get all the hot air going upstairs like you do with a house.
Called at MIL's after lunch. There seems to be a lot of faffing about their boiler service!! MIL seems to get narky with them because they can't tell her whether it will be morning or afternoon and keeps putting them off when it doesn't 'suit'!! She doesn't (or won't) understand that when a job's done each engineer rings in and gets sent to the next job that's on the list so they can't be precise. She's a stickler for 'time' anyway and always tells OH whether he is on time or 5 mins early or late etc, so probably likes the chance to do it with workmen too!! :-S FIL is now using the 4 wheel shopping trolley they have to go with MIL to fetch the morning paper from the shop. It seems he'd rather be seen with that than a walking stick or them have their paper delivered...... even in the winter!! :-S

Morning/Evening All
My nose and ears are bunged up this morning.I have to breathe through my mouth :-S.Blooming Hayfever. Have just taken a Zirte* and sprayed my nose.
Mel what smashing pics .It's a big snake isn't it,and the Deer looks like it was looking straight at the camera lol.Your border looks so pretty especially with the old Victorian stone well .
Frank I haven't worked out yet how to attach more pic .I know there is a way lol ..Will have to ask James AGAIN !!
I only need to go and buy some Asparagus this morning as I forgot yesterday. This afternoon I expect I shall be watching Wimbledon :-D
Ann the rate your MIL is going the boiler will never get serviced if she can't understand how their appointment system works lol.Maybe your FIL finds the trolley safer than a stick as he can hold on with 2 hands but won't actually say that :-D My Mum blankly refused to have one of those shopping trolleys, she always had her stick lol.She thought only old ladies used those shoppers !!!!!!!!

Morning All,
Very overcast here so I'm getting lunch then will be taking a top back to Grantham and buying something else no doubt! We are having our first new pots (i'm having just a few as I love 'em boiled with sprigs of mint) cabbage, broc, carrot and asparagus with haddock in a lemon and chive sauce.....mmm.
Jane, it's more vanity with FIL I think. It was telling when he said that the trolley 'looked' better than a walking stick!! He and MIL can be a bit scathing about folk who have problems, seem to think they bring them on themselves because they had good health for so long. I have to bite my lip a lot!! lol.
Just tried ringing the man about my keys and he's out till later. :-S
OH is painting the bottom fence now and just called me to see the bull, who was laying down not far from our fence. He said he'd been keeping an eye on OH earlier!! I said that he wasn't chewing the cud and OH said he just seemed to be nodding off.......and that he was a bulldozer!! lol.

Morning/Afternoon all,
I am getting feed up to the teeth, having to go all around to get on here.
Last night I typed a long post about picnics, gardens and Hamilton All gone to the clouds in the Sky.
Jane, When you load your photo's from the camera to the computer. You can view the number of photo's you have taken. When they come on the screen, you can tick the top of each picture. Then when you forward them they all come up like mine did yesterday. It took me a bit of time to find how to do it. So it's NOT ONLY YOU WHO IS THICK <3 <3 <3
You should try putting weed killer up your nose. That should kill the pollen. :-( :-( :-( I am in my shorts, and have trimmed both back and front lawn edges. I have mowed to back lawn, will do front in a mo (PUN NOT INTENDED) :-D :-D
Lot cooler and fresher this morning, it should get warmer later. Then dull tomorrow and Wednesday, and bright towards the weekend. So endeth the weather forecast..
Ros has the oven on, and the mixer going, so cake making is under way. Hope they all turn out O.K. or I can see me eating burnt or buggered cakes for the next week. <3 <3
Ann your OH does make me smile with his little bits "BULLDOZER" wonderful sense of humour. Lets hope a cow doesn't fall over or he will call it "COWSLIP"
Must get on with front lawn, or I will seize up and won't want to do it.
Must take a photo of neighbours front lawn.
