Afternoon All,

Lovely sunshine, we went to the carvery in my car today to save poor old OH hurting his foot with driving, so it was shades on and roof down. It's not bad when he walks and has weight on it, but not good when he lifts his toe up or lies down. He has to see the doc on thursday for the results of his blood tests so will talk to him about it then. (it's a different doc to the one who diagnosed a 'sprain'). On the way we saw sheep shearing going on in one of the fields and there was a lot of baaaing!! I've never actually seen them doing it in a field before. On the way back we popped in a garden centre and came away with a 'Garden News' hardy fuschia (big salmon colour flowers) and a 'Pop Star' pink.

Last night I had a weird dream. I was at Jane's and there was a small pony in their garden and Chris appeared to have taken up riding and had a big bay mare!! :-0 For some reason I ended up riding this big mare to go and find the pony that had got out and I was wondering if I'd be able to get off and land ok with my 'knees'. Anyway, everywhere looked strange as I went from village to village and I had to go in a little shop to ask if they'd seen the pony. When I came out, the bay mare was gone and it was getting dark and I couldn't remember the way back......then I woke up! I was telling OH about the dream while he was in the shower this morning and I was drying off. After a couple of minutes his cheeky face poked around the shower curtain and he sniggered and said.............. 'Hmmmm, that's my dream too................that you would lose your 'NAG' !!!!!!! What a cheek.....he nearly got the 'cold water' treatment. lol. :-)

Maureen, the USB or flash sticks store lots of info and the bigger the GB the more they store like you say. I have saved my family tree to one and all my FH photos. Your need to have the USB ports or slots on your computer to push them into to be able to use them and I know my previous computer didn't have them. Also there are now at least a couple of different sizes for the slots eg 1.0, 2.0! Have a look on your computer first Maureen to see if it has any of the slots. Sometimes they are on the edge of the screen, but mine are at the front of the tower. They are about half an inch long and a quarter of an inch wide. I can email you a pic of mine if you aren't sure. :-) Have a look at the docs to do with your computer when you got it if you still have them and it should say if there are USB ports. If you don't have them, google the make and model of your computer and you may find out that way.

Frank if you and Ros go over there again sometime we could meet for a coffee.

I wonder how Ann and OH's tummy upsets are? I hope they are no worse. Not a nice way to end a holiday.

I think this weather is making me feel really tired.I sat down just now and could barely keep my eyes open and now have a headache just like the other day.
It will be another early night again I reckon.

Pat must be back from Majorca now.I hope she had a good time with nice weather ,plenty of tasty food and a few tipples and was able to relax.

A ton of pine cones have dropped off our tree and are all over the place.I think I will go and shove them out the way so Chris can mow the lawn.
The new sealed unit is in my bedroom. So no cracked window now. :-D
I went to have a look at Fire Surrounds this morning. We are going to have a Limestone one.I don't want anything fancy and think I have found one which will go nicely with a Log Burner .Just need to discuss with Chris and then we can book a date to have it all done.

Just watching Brendan and the new coach trip thingy programme :-D

Thanks for that Ann, I knew I could rely on you :-D I have got a couple of USB ports on the front of the computer but haven't a clue to the size, I don't have any paperwork for the computer as son-i-l gave it to me. I know you can get all sorts of GB's but would I really need a 64GB or a 32GB, I only want to transfer wedding photos on it, would a 16GB be enough do you think

Jane Report 25 Jun 2013 18:08

Missed you there Ann !
Funny about your dream. We have room for a pony lol In fact someone who lived in this house in the past had a horse as when we moved here we found some bits of old bridle in the barn at the bottom of the garden.
I think they have sheared sheep in the field down in the village .There was a big kind tent/marquee thing in the middle of the field and a lot of shorn sheep :-DThat was the first time `i had seen that too.
I hope OH gets a decent answer about his foot on Thursday. It still doesn't sound like a sprain to me.But then I wouldn't really know.

Fiona Chris uses a hairdryer every morning lol.He just waves it a few times over his head then drys his Chest and bits.It makes me laugh really ,but as he says he is really hairy and it is uncomfortable to put on clothes with a wet body.I don't know anyone else who does that !...I always knew he was strange :-D

There are lots of Woodpeckers flying about. It must be the babies :-D :-D

My Sister and B IL have a bit of a breather this week as Michel(Williams Daddy) has the week off. They really need it too.I think they are both looking a bit washed out.The weather looks good for Thursday when they go to Wimbledon so I hope they have a really good day out. They deserve it.

Evening Everyone,

Just got back from Lacey's birthday tea , one today where has the year gone .

It's been really warm today ,we keep looking at the weather forecast for thursday as we're off to the Royal Norfolk Show so we hoping it will be a dry and sunny day .
I think i will rest up a bit tomorrow as there will be plenty of walking to do, the little ones are looking forward to seeing all the animals .

I was looking at my cucmber plants the other day, i had been looking at all the little ones coming and hadn't noticed that there was quite a big one hanging at the side of the plant !! :-D
There's some tiny little tomatoes coming along too.

Went shopping early today and left lunch for oh. Got back about three o'clock and did more washing and cleaned out the chicken drinkers and broke one of the bantams ones!!

Thanks for the pics of little Lacey Mandy. She is a little cheeky cutey. Just love the smile and those nice new teeth. Such a happy little soul.

Happy Birthday Lacey

<3 <3

William I am glad Carmel is a little better but it must be very annoying to have a permanent headache all the time as Fiona will know. Do you think it is caused by her medication.?

Think I may have a touch of Athileats (sp?) foot between my little toe and the next one on my left foot. Not the film my body........... Must be because I am nearly always in wellies or rubber short boot and shoes. Shall have to give it some tender loveing care I think or go to the docs. It is sort of stinging tonight.

Going back to Mick Aston who wore those lovely striped jumpers. Did anyone see him in his stripy hat that came to a point. Well I had one like that when I was quite small. Mum had knitted it for me and I always wore it when I went out in the snow with my lovely dad on the sledge. I loved mine but never found out what happened to it. when I saw Mick in his it brought back such happy memories of childhood in the snow which we seemed to have every year then.

Morning all/Evening Kim,

What a job getting on here this morning, round and round the houses, and still got the "ERROR NOTICE"

I watched the workhouse programme last night. I had quite a few relatives in them back in the eighteen hundreds. I have copies of electing lists, with them on. "I TOLD YOU I WAS A POOR OLD MAN" :-D :-D :-D :-D

Spent the afternoon, lazing around in the sunshine, while Ros worked on getting rid of the weeds.

I can just see you Mel, in a hat like that. A little "pixie" did you have a wooden mushroom to sit on ?? lol

Haven't got any cues yet, but three little tomato's, and all the veg is going mad. Mel, I put in early spuds, WHEN do you think they will be ready to dig ??

It's a beautiful morning today, we have all the doors and windows open, I think it's going to be warm later.

Hope you are all well, and take care, whatever you decide to do. I think of you all doing all your choirs , no ladders please. !!

Morning Frank and All and Evening Kim,

Had a lay in this morning and I went to bed earlier than usual too.

Frank can you remember when you planted your potatoes? They usually take 90 days so oh always tells me. I have'nt planted ay this year as they fall all over the place in the tunnel but I have a few stray plants come up where I had them last year and I have left them to grow. They are mostl;y Pink Fir Apple and that not an early one but I did notice yesterday they have flowers coming in them. A good sign that there may be something to dig soon.

My cues are still small plants, well one has grown quite a bit and one is behind the other. They are showoing tiny tiny cues so it won't be long now. The beans are up the canes about three quarters of the way. I have had flowers on the courgettes but I find the first few baby courges always either come out deformed or die off so sometimes I take the first ones off to give the plants a chance to get their roots down.

The toms have lots of tiny toms on and I am really pleased the way they are growing this year although some do look a bit long between the leaf joints.

This year I have sown or planted more of the tunnel than in any other year I have used it. Cheated really because I have one pumpkin, 5 Butternuts, three courgettes and two marrows in there plus a bed with Spring onions Radish Khol Rabi and beetroot in with peas on the end that once again hav'nt come up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O and short beans on the end of the runner bean bed. Just five plants but two look blind to me. Sowed some more and most of the ones that did come up appeared blind too.

Yes it is going to be a good one isn't it Frank. :-D.The birds are sounding very happy too with the sun ,they are chirping and tweeting away.
I have been into town to take a top back .I decided I had too many sleeveless tops so changed it for a cardigan .Just a thin one .
I am going to be doing some weeding around the patio now and then Fitz is popping up about midday on his way to visit his Mum.
I'll BBL

Just picked 2 more baby cucumbers.I think we have had about 6 or 7 now. Each one is just the right size for a couple of people.,and they taste so good. You really can't compare the home grown things with the shop goods, especially the salad stuff.
James has just put the big Umbrella up over the patio table for me.I can't reach the winder :-S,and now I'm just going to put a bit of lunch out there .Mozarella and Tomato Salad with Basil.some mini pork pies, bean and mint salad ,breadsticks, and not forgetting my Cucumber :-D

Afternoon everyone,

Nice and sunny ,been shopping this morning i had a list of bits and bobs to get ,hubby wanted a couple of brackets to put on the front gate post ,we noticed it was coming away from the wall i think its because the postman keeps banging it shut , also had to get a couple of bottles of drink to take with us tomorrow when we go to the show ,the queues for drinks can be long so at least we'll have one to start us off.
I had to also get some more fat balls for the birds ,they seem to be getting through them so fast !!

I've been filling some of the bottom cupboards back up as hubby has put two of the new work tops on ,i've been up and down the stairs getting the stuff down, so much for having a quiet day !!

Jane are they Mini cues you've picked ? or just the long ones you've picked before they get too big ?
I'am very tempted to cut the biggest cucumber that's growing ,it's about six inches long inches now and quite fat round . if i leave it to long will it taste bitter ?

Time for a bit of lunch now i think, then a sit out side with my book .
BBL

I've been up the steps :-0 :-0 :-0 Ros wanted some branches taking off the cherry tree that overhangs the POND. She was doing a bit, seeing me climb up the steps and reaching over to grab the branches with my right hand (the poorer one) and cutting the branches with the other. I tottered a couple of times, but managed to keep my balance. I am shaking all over now, so will sit and compose myself for a while.

What a beautiful day it has turned out.

I had the most horrible job this morning, cleaning out the BLACK BIN, Even though we put all the kitchen waste into bags and tie them up, there is always something's that just go in the bin.. They always get stuck to the bottom, and the fly's lay their eggs on it. The bottom of the bin was crawling with tiny maggots. I put the hose in the bin and quarter filled it. Then took it to the drain in the road and emptied it. Washed in out again left it in the sun to dry, and now put loads of JEY# Fluid in it. It smells much better, and as "clean as a whistle". (where does that saying come from ??)

Well I will make madam a coffee, and have a sit and read with my straw hat on. NO LAUGHING PLEASE.

I love a man in a straw hat Frank. I bought oh one when we were first together and he wore it a bit but then gave up on it. I used it instead. Then he said he did'nt like me wearing a hat!! Mine went on the scarcrow when I made it and I now still have his as mine was a bit worse for wear.

I was going to do so much today and hav'nt really done anything. Just picked the last of the strawberries and opened up the tunnel. I hav'nt even been round to the big chickens yet as oh did them this morning.

Got on here first time this morning but when I tried to get to the last page I kept getting the Error page come up.

Afternoon All,

Frank you wear your straw hat if you want, at least your in the garden at the moment with this sunny warm weather I have to wear my sun hat everywhere I go (had to get a kids size cos I have a little head, :-) I whip it off as soon as I get into the shops.
My head would go daft if the sun got to it,

what an upside down day,I didn't know if I was staying in or going out, OH ordered paving slabs for the green house base, they were to come today between 8am & 6pm so I just plodded about around the house and told the ladies I wouldn't be out for coffee, then at 10.00 I get a phone call from the builders all the slabs have not arrived at the depot, so they won't be delivering today after all , can they come tomorrow instead, YES!!!! I said no problem, and dashed off to get ready and text the ladies to say coffee was back on. Hurrah :-) :-)
Very pleased because going out breaks up the days OH is away, in all day yesterday, out today and staying in tomorrow.

Hi all,

Meant to say this morning, how weird is this. I was reading my book in bed last night, and the last line I read was. "What time is it" the reply was 11.40 pm. I looked at my bedside clock and it was 11,40 pm.

Jane, I didn't mean to ignore you about meeting at Beckwith for a coffee. I will try to give you a day or so notice, that would be a great idea. ANYBODY WANT TO JOIN US. ?? Mel it wouldn't take you long to get here. LOL LOL

Ros has filled the green bin and three plastic bags, with cutting from all the bushes round by the pond. She still has to come the length of the boarder to the patio. So the bin man will be looking for a tip to take that lot away. :-0 :-0

It's been a lovely afternoon here, warm in the sun when the clouds cleared to let the sun through. I wore my hat to protect my thinning hair line. My head feels quite warm. (HOT HEADED LITTLE BEGGER in more ways than one.

Fiona, I do feel for you, It can't be nice having to protect your head like that. These builder suppliers don't have a lot of consideration for their customers. They expect you to be at their beck and call when it comes to delivery !! Glad you found out in time to be able to go out for your coffee with friends.

Mel, My days are always like that. So much to do, and no time to do it :-D :-D Where does the time go ??

Nice easy tea tonight. Steak and home made chips (ROS likes them thin like you get in McDs) not that eat McDs but she has a chicken one when Lewis is here.

Talking of him. The little B got hold of my big water gun (the one I use for the cats) He decided to shoot water everywhere, including my clean windows, you should see the marks. !!! I will have to do them again now. I'll brain him before he's much older. (Where have I heard that before) Both my MUM AND DAD.!!!

Oh Shirl ,I think Frank needs a clip round the ear calling you that ;-) ;-) He's a cheeky monkey lol Hope you have a lovely time with your visitors.

What a lovely day it has been and still is.Although it did come over a bit stormy looking at one point this afternoon .I whipped in the washing and put away the electric weeder.(didn't fancy electrocuting myself),but it all cleared away and the sun came out again :-D

Chris has a straw hat and looks a right plonker in it.I HATE it.He keeps on about getting a Panama Hat !!!.I said if he did I would not have anything to do with him if he wore when we were out.He said would be fine with him :-| :-|

Dinner tonight is Breaded Cod,Parmentier (?sp) Potatoes ,Cauliflower Cheese ,Baby Carrots and Peas.I don't thin it will be too long now before our Petit Pois are ready to pick.Last year they were lovely so I'm hoping for the same again this year.
