i am trying to trace my family of YOUNG`s but have become stuck. I am looking for decendants of JAMES YOUNG MCKENZIE born in SCOTLAND in 1825/6. He may well have married a gill called ELLEN CANNEY in THE GORBALS, GLASGOW in 1853. Moved to ENGLAND in approx 1855 and married a female named DOROTHY ANN PACE in DURHAM. He then dropped the surname of MCKENZIE for some reason. Lived in BELMONT, COUNTY DURHAM as a Furnaceman at the GRANGE IRON WORKS until his death in 1908. Some of his children were ARCHIBALD MCKENZIE YOUNG CHARLOTTE YOUNG RICHARD YOUNG ELIZA YOUNG
