My father's name was John Young (born 5 April 1914 in Derby). Dad's parents were Thomas and Florence Young (nee Peck). The brothers and sisters that I know about are: i) Thomas (born 18 Feb 1912 - baptised 21 Mar at St. Alkmunds, Derby) ii) Florence (born 22 Mar 1915 - baptised 8 Apr at St. Alkmund's, Derby) iii) George (born 22 Nov 1917 - baptised 13 Dec at St. Alkmund's, Derby) iv) Albert Edward (born 6 Jul 1921 - baptised 28 Jul at St. Alkmund's, Derby) v) Frances Mary (born 11 Jan 1926 - baptised 29 Jul at St. Alkmund's, Derby) vi) Marjorie (born 9 May 1931 - baptised 28 May at St. Alkmund's, Derby) My reason for this posting is that Dad always said he was one of about 10 children, so obviously there are one or two missing. If anyone has any info/ideas, I'd be glad to hear from them. Regards, David |
