William Wood Born 1855 in leeds & Marreid a Sarah Jane Crossfield. (She was Born in 1851 in leeds). Found a Marrige in 1872, but on trying to obtaion marriage certifcate it didn't show the father as John harrison wood.
can anyone help.

Also william woood born 1790 aberford Married a Elizabeth wood which is her married name. anyone know her Maiden name. she was born in 1798 in aberford.
anyone know who there parents where.
they had several children including john wood born in 1827 in aberford.

So is the marriage wrong or the father wrong? Did you get Sarah Jane Crossfield as the wife from one of the kids birth certs? He would have been pretty young to have married in 1872. Where does the name John Harrison Wood come into it?


Have you found him on census? Please give the details. When and where were the children born?

There are SO many William Woods born Leeds around that time - you have confirmed the wifes name through one of their childrens birth certs working backwards? Could you give us some definite information on later census please?

Justin, it was for reference for everyone else on here as there are many Willaim Woods - can you supply the other details requested please. Where did you get the wifes name from? Where are they living in the 1881?
