Im looking for any Wilsons born in Chorley and surrounding areas in the 1700 & 1800's. My ancestors were Roman Catholic - which does narrow it down a little. I am also wondering if anyone out there remembers J Wilson, Pork Butchers Shop in Plungington Road and North Road, Preston, Lancs. According to Trade Directories it was still there in the 1950's. The business began between 1880 and 1890 in the name of William Wilson.
