WW1 Soldier Photo's...

Hello to everyone on the board. Just wanted to ask, is it only officers and soldiers who went to the front that had their photo's taken?

I'm asking because I've just found the WW1 service/pension records of 2 of the sons of 2 of my Great Uncles and, as it lists their regiment and army/service number, I wondered if I could get photographs through these.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has done this. In case you're wondering the details are as follows;

JAMES WILSON - (c1887) - Cheshire Regiment No/7575
JAMES HENRY WILSON - (c1897) - 4TH Birkenhead Cheshire Regiment No/1592

Thanks for your time.

Ingrid.
