Hi ! My name is Joan Dobson (nee WILLIAMS). I have acquired birth, death and marriage certificates and photographs of my father's family. I would really like to put names to faces and dates to events to put into my family tree. I am quite new to geneology and keep meeting dead-ends. I am looking for information or relatives of my father, Clifford WILLIAMS b. 1928 in Lancashire. His parents were Leopold WILLIAMS b. 1900 in Whalley, Lancs, and his mother Nora nee RIMMER b. 1903. Leopolds father (my great grandfather was John WILLIAMS born in Wigan Lancs in 1866. His wife was Millicent PICKUP from Great Harwood, Lancs, b. 1870 and married in 1891. As a youngster I was told I had Welsh blood but I haven't found any yet ! Can you help ? Thanks.

My (Sue Thorp and Sister Dilys Thorp Bruce) are looking for our Uncle, Clifford Taillis(s) Williams.
Birth Date: 12/03/1916? (Not sure if the year is correct). Clifford was married to Iris (Surname before marriage not knowed. They had Children: Robert, Ronald and Christine. Not sure if Margaret Williams is a Daughter to Cliff and Iris. M-Husband is/was William Shepherd. Clifford Deceased Date is in the 1980's. Does this help with your tree. Regards Sue.

Hi Sue, Thanks for the reply. It seems so strange to see my 2004 request pop up on the screen.
I don't think that there is a connection but then again Dad never said much. His first wife was an Iris and he did die in the 1980's - ? coincidence ?
What area are you looking at ?
