I Wonder if anybody could help me. i`m trying to find out about George Williams, he married Alice Maud Griffiths(known as Maud). She Was Born in1886. They lived in the cannock area and had a daughter called Marjorie. She was born in 1916 and married Ernest Stanforth who was born in1919 and died in 1994. They had a daughter called Susan Born around 1947

George Married Alice Soon After her Sister Died. I Do Not Know Her Name But He Was Married To Her First. Does That Make Sense?

If George married twice, to Alice's sister first, then to Alice, in the 1911 census he will either still be married, or be a widower, as he married Alice at the end of 1911. Correct?

Pretty Sure She Was Born in 1996, But We Know For A Fact That George Married Her Sister First. Unfortunately We Don`t Know Her Name, But We Do Know That She Died Before He Married Alice. Maybe aCensus Search Would Confirm This. I Have Looked But Cannot Find Anything.

If you get the marriage certificate for Alice and George you will get the names and occupations of their fathers, which will make life a whole lot easier, as all the above is mere speculation.
