He gave his birth as 1896 but then he was discharged for being under age. Sounds very much like the William you are after , Fathers name Evan.

i know that he was in the army and that he was sent to india in the 1st world war. i know also that he was a bus driver after the war. he lived in blakeley manchester for many years and moved to heywood a few years before he died. i am not sure if he was born in manchester or wales?

If it is of any help Evan the father of this William B was born N W Lianddeior, Cardiganshire, Wales.

i know that this is the right williams as my mother has told me that he lied about his age to join the army and that his mother had to go and get him out again.
