Thanks Elouise but but my William Winstanley was born 1794 or 1795 so It could be either the Rotherham or the Newcastle Under Lyme. As you say pot luck I think. |

In ENgland all that's showing between 1790-1800 for births are these 2 outside Lanashire, but not all have been transcribed and some not been baptised.... |

Thanks Elouise I have tried Lancs and Cheshire the only match I can find is Yorkshire although I am only guessing. |

William may have married 1st time round in another county, as in the 1841 states not birn in county....at a guess I'd say Cheshire or he came over from Ireland...Wales |
