Does anyone know what happened to William Trevor Merrifield, born 1898? He was a signaller in her majestys service, in France at one time.
He married my grandmother, Janet Dunsire in Wemyss 1918. They had two children that I know of. A boy, William that died from pneumonia aged 2 weeks in 1919 and my father Andrew, born February 1926. He then married Mary Jane Mooney, in 1927, one year after my fathers birth. I don't know what happened to Janet Dunsire, but am getting desparate to find out what happened to her.
Did she die in childbirth? Who knows. Janets parents emigrated to Australia, and they raised Andrew as their own. I would like to find any relatives of William T Merrifield if there are any out there.
