My great grand mother, Mable Wigley was born on 14th of May 1914 - I understand that her mother Louisa Long, had 16 children and a lot of them were sent to Austrailia or America. Please contact me with any info, regarding this.

Hello Nicola,
I realise that this message was put on the board several years ago, but the Wigley name is in my tree and Louisa Long married Albert Wigley, my relation. I would love to share any info with you.

Hi there,

I have 2 sets of parents for Louisa Long/Wigley. One set: Frederick and Lucy, another set, Stephen and Mary. I cannot find which set are the correct ones. Any ideas?

Please contact me for any media you would like me to email to you. My tree is imported from my Ancestry software, namely, Family Tree Maker, and unfortunately it does not appear in Genes 100% correct. My other tree is in Ancestry.

Hi Helen and welcome to the boards. This is a very old thread and neither Nicola or Suzanne have returned to it. If you want to try to contact them directly, click on their names and send a message via GR. If they still have the same email address, GR will advise them that they have a message.

To find Louisa's parents, you need to find her marriage, the cert which will give you her father's name. You could then search for her on the census to find out her mother's first name and then look for a possible marriage for her parents.

You don't give any dates or places, but could this be Albert and Louisa's marriage:

Name: Albert Wigley
Birth Year: abt 1867
Age: 24
Marriage Date: 26 Apr 1891

Spouse Father's Name: Stephen Long; joiner
