i have got a igi marriage record for maria hunt and john white,
19 OCT 1843 SAINT PETER WORCESTER ENGLAND,
i have searched freebmd,
and found maria hunt dec 1843 worcester 18 634
but i cannot match this with a john white,
any idea,s not shaw where to go with this,

What is it that you are not sure about?

There's no White in the list of names married at Worcester Q4 1843 at FreeBMD.

There is no obvious irregularity on that Maria Hunt's page -- 3 brides, 3 grooms, nothing in italics.

I think you may have just hit on a coincidental other Maria Hunt, and your people's marriage didn't get registered. Those were pretty early days. ?

The marriage is on the IGI - and it's an extracted record

Freewheel, John said that. He wants a registration, I imagine because of the info it could provide, e.g. father's names.

John, I said that. I think that must be a different Maria Hunt.

What you could do is look for a John White marriage anywhere in Q4 1843 and then view the image, just to make sure yours isn't there and got skipped over by the transcribers

I've been trying to do just that but it seems to be a heavy traffic moment and FreeBMD isn't coping with that very simple request.

I'm aware that he wants the registration - I was pointing out that the IGI record was extracted, which John didn't mention, and therefore likely to be accurate!

and the only one i can find on bmd

We do seem to go around and around Freewheel!

I doubt that accuracy is the issue.

I expect that John wants the **other information** that is on a marriage certificate, like **fathers' names** and, if you're lucky, **spouses' ages**, and fathers' occupations, and witnesses' names, and the rest of it.

Don't you think maybe?

I think I would be surprised if John's White and Hunt married in 1843 at the ages of 54 and 47.

What made you latch on to Maria HUNT? Do you have a child's birth cert?

i have not got no evidence , that hunt is right
i knew john whites spouse was marie, so searched all worcester
igi maraiges for john white and a maria,
and that was the only one i could find,
may be i should be looking for marie guise if elizabeth guise
is her daughter on cencus,
could be she was marride before

ps it is there daughter mary aged 6 on cencus that i am struggling with
can not ind birth index for her, only one i can find would make her same age as george who is 2 years younger on cencus

Fool me, I keep assuming there are reasons for people's questions and I should just know better by now.

Random names dug up from the IGI is all.

There were no penalties until 1875 for failure to register births - it may be that none of them was actually registered.

George, Emma, James, and the child born later (Fanny) are on the same Batch number on the IGI.............no Mary.
