Trying to find info about Prudence Valerie WESTBROOK-STEVENS (dob 12/10/1917; died 16/11/1995) daughter of Herbert Edward WESTBROOK-STEVENS and Mabel Florence PRUDENCE. William MURRAY (dob 4/11/1918; died 30/8/1992) married Prudence on 24 June 1949

Dear Valerie

I am not a relative but have been trying to research the late actor John Westbrook born 1 Nov 1922 died July 1989. I believe from your information that the lady you refer to was in fact his sister? His father was Herbert Edward Westbrook-Stevens and his mother was Mabel Florence Prudence which I guess is how your relative came by her Christian mame. John was educated at Reigate Grammer School in Surrey. he began his stage career at the age of seventeen only to be interrupted by the war when he joined the RAF (3 years service). He was well known in the theatre and for his radio work and poetry readings being blessed with a lyrical voice. I suspect however that you may already know this information so forgive my interference. However, I do not know from your message in what way you are related to Prudence so this may be of some use in fitting parts of your family tree together. Sadly John was only 66 when he passed away a relatively young age by todays standards.

I am already a long time member of Genes Reunited in connection with my own family history so I hope you will forgive my contacting you in this way I just thought it would help. Therefore if you do not wish to reply that's fine.
