Hi probably no connection but I have an Arthur Welch in the family tree. He was born in sunderland and my Grandmother Gladys welch was his sister, Thier mother died aged 35 and the Dad could not look after them. There were 6 children, Gladys was born 1921 and Arthur would have been born after that as she was the oldest. The two boys Arthur and Albert I think went into a childrens home in Kent and rumour has it that Arthur went into services but he just disappeared and no-one knows what happened to him. My Nan moved to London and all the children kept in touch apart from Arthur.
Could this be your Arthur?
