I am looking for relatives of my maternal grandad HENRY WILLIAM WATSON born 1887 in SUNDERLAND. His father was called ROBERT JOBLING WATSON born 1857 and his mother was MARGARET WILKINSON THORNTON born 1858. According to my mother her father was one of 13 children! So far I think I have traced 4 or 5 of them through the 1901 Census, when they were living in the Sunderland area. Hopefully with unusual middle names it should not be too difficult to trace them. My grandad was married twice, possibly the first time to a MARGARET RUSH, I am not certain of this at the moment, but I am hopeful that somebody will recognise these names. My grandad was in the army for about 22 years, serving in India and then stationed in Woolwich. He was with my grandmother from about 1930 onwards although he was still married to his first wife until 1954 when he married my grandmother. On their marriage certificate he describes himself as a widower, so I presume that his first wife finally died! Any help with this would be appreciated. |
