I am trying to find details of the parents of my grandfather, Henry Ward b 1888. His marriage certificate shows he married Clara Laycock in 1912 at Bradford Registery Office with his father named as Frederick and witnesses as Rose Hannah Ward and James William Ward. I have tried to trace Rose, James and Frederick on various ancestor sites without success. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated

Hi Debi

Many thanks indeed for your reply to my plea for help.

The employment given on the certificate for father Frederick Ward is Boiler Maker's Labourer, and for Henry Ward a Dyer's Labourer with age of 23 yrs.

The marriage certificate shows marriage date of 9th April 1912

Again thanks for the info and I will now check Hull records and hopefully this branch of my tree can grow
