I am trying to find some one in Australia and New Zealand who knew my late father between him landing on your shores from the Uk in 1925 to when he left with the 21st Rifles returning to the Uk in 1940, he disembarked in Scotland on the Empress of Britain, then travelled down country to Aldershot. Through living relatives here in the Uk I have learned a lot about his early life here but would like to gain more information to his life in Australia/NZ. I believe he did not stay in Australiua long but lived and travelled south and north s island before settleing down near Rotaroa and then Papakora. He lived in New Zealand for 15yrs before his aplication to join up in Papakora (1940) and then joining his company in Auckland. His Name was: Alfred Hugh Ward. Any one who thinks they may know him or who's relatives may know him, please make contact as I do Have photo's taken in NZ, also any one who does know him will now be in their middle to late seventies or even eighties.
