I am looking for joseph john walsh who married clara adelaide hodson (erdwein) 12 January 1907 St pancras registry office,both were widowed and lived at 47 little george street.
Joseph father was James Walsh Occupation Sailor
Clara father john erdwein occupation house painter
they had 3 children from their marriage Florence,mary adelaide,ernest plus children from previos hodson marriage but children of previous walsh marriage unknown
all born StPancras
Can anybody help?

how old was Joseph on his marriage cert?

joseph was 47 and clara was 40 itis believed that joseph was possibly born in ireland

I'm trying the 1901 census but nothing obvious coming up yet

Strange none of the Hodson children turn up on the 1901 either!

just checked my cousins ft and it states
adeline died 1890 strand
george pauper
william pauper
richard died 1897 strand
george henry hodson died 1900

i dont know where he got info though, i dont know where you would find out someone was apauper though

Nothing on BMD for the deaths of Adeline or Richard

If they were in the workhouse they are sometimes put as pauper.

I just had a look too im not sure where he gets his info but not the first thing i have found on his tree.
but very weird they just all disappear i did find john erdwein in a workhouse home of st annes in streatham which used to be in st pancras on 1901 census he was clara father who lived with them in 1891
